I went to the Oklahoma Aquarium and honestly had a great time. The whole place is really clean and well put together, and the exhibits are super cool with a huge variety of fish and sea life. The shark tunnel was definitely the highlight walking through while sharks swim all around you is such an awesome experience. What made it even better was how much my 2 year old loved it. He was completely into all the fish and didn't want to leave. After we finished going through the aquarium, there's a nice playground outside that he had a blast on, which was the perfect way to wrap up the visit. read more

Aquariums are a must see attraction for me on any trip. This aquarium was large enough to see exotic and local fish. The fish were huge! The experience was larger, don't run off too fast and miss the large sea turtle and octopus. Fun for the whole family and the gift shop wasn't bad either. They offer military discount so that was a plus for the pricing. There's enough room for the large crowds to maneuver through each space. read more

Tulsa has an awesome aquarium, you'd never know it is far from any ocean. When you first enter, you come face to face with beautiful and graceful jelly fish. What a great start! The shark exhibit is not to be missed as you can walk among the sharks through a clear tunnel. There are several exhibits for freshwater Oklahoma fish species and they are amazing. Plenty of space around the exhibits so you never feel crowded. Lots of free parking out front. The food court is a bit disappointing, mostly featuring foods that kids like but not necessarily healthy for them. Great place for a party group. read more

Spent a couple hours here and loved it! We were able to touch stingrays and jellyfish. You could feed the turtles but we just watched kids have their fun. There is a carousel ride immediately upon entering the aquarium and it was very cute for kids. Our favorite was watching a beaver eat his grapes. They also have a virtual reality ride where you dive with sharks in the Bahamas : $10.00 for 7 minutes - very cool experience. There is also a little cafe for refreshments and the restroom was very clean. Nice afternoon walking around in the cool AC, and fun for adults and children. read more

Would be 5 stars but EXPENSIVE. Overall the staff are very friendly and the facility is nice and clean. We love to visit every year or two to see the aquarium... it takes about and hour and a half to slowly walk through once if you take your time. That being said the price to get in is a little steep especially for the kids and then as soon as you walk through doors is this beautiful merry go round that charges for rides (the kids love it) when you've just paid almost $20 per kid to get them in the doors. No food or drinks allowed from outside and their vending machines wan $3.00 for a drink. Then the gift shop is OUTRAGEOUSLY priced. I mean come on guys, yeah parents will pay it for their kids but could afford to visit more if the prices weren't this crazy. Again love this place and the staff are great but they need to calm down on the prices. read more

We had such a fun time and I was super impressed! I had not been to this aquarium in years and it has really gotten great. We had 2 adults and 5 kids 5 years old and younger with us. They loved it. Had a great time here. Not too pricey to get in and lots to look at. The giant sea turtle was fantastic. It just chilled there letting everyone take pictures with it! Lots of petting areas and areas where you could feed certain critters. Daughter and I enjoyed the aquarium while on a trip to Catoosa. We came on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm and it wasn't too crowded. In case you don't read much further - you can enjoy this whole aquarium in 1.5-2 hours at a leisurely pace. This is a large one floor aquarium with one main hallway and then rooms into each of the attractions. Lots of room to walk and hang around. The attractions were well kept and clean. The animals were all awake and pretty frisky the day we went. I enjoyed the interactive activities like petting a star fish and watching the beavers and otters play. Some of the tanks had cool backgrounds that looked like divers or a ship area with shrimp in it. Our favorite part was the OK native area. The otters really put on a show chasing each other around, sliding on their slide and having a ton of fun. It was the cutest thing ever! The beaver also had a lot of fun while we were there swimming and watching the humans. The shark tunnel was pretty cool as well, but honestly there were quite a few screaming children in there and that ruined the experience for me. Also I felt bad for the sharks... there are multiple signs saying "please be quiet, the sharks are sensitive to sound" and parent were letting children run around, scream - yes literally screaming- and bang on the shark tanks. Disappointing. In other aquariums I've been with shark tunnels they typically have an employee that minds the tunnel and I think that prevents some of this type of behavior. The pricing here is VERY reasonable. One of the cheaper aquariums I've been in for the amount of attractions. Definitely add this on your list as a place to visit in Tulsa. read more

LOVED this aquarium !!! I'm so impressed with it !! Coming from California I honestly didn't know what to expect from an aquarium in Oklahoma because it's technically so far from the ocean. I was wrong. They had such a great selection ! They also have a raccoon, beavers ( first time seeing a beaver in person ), otters an alligator ! It was really great. Jellyfish are my favorite and they had a good amount of those too. The Waterdog a were so cute. First time in real life seeing those as well ! So glad I went. I wish this wasn't so pricey because I have an a family of six to take in. It's ridiculous lol but it's really a great aquarium! It's very widely spaced so there's plenty of room to walk through and you don't feel like you're being crowded out. Tons and tons of great exhibits! We loved watching the seahorses and the sharks, but our favorite was the logger head turtle! He was so interactive and kept coming in close for great pictures. Largest collection of bull sharks in the western hemisphere! To view them fully, one must enter an eerie enclosed tunnel and be quiet, as they don't like loud noise, so it feels almost like you're in the water with them. I've never had that experience in any other walk-through tunnel, and I admit it was a little unnerving. I felt almost bad for the sharks--there are so many, and the tank they're in has nothing other than the sharks and water. Doesn't seem very interesting for them, and some of the sharks even had growths on their fins. I like being able to observe these predators in a safe environment, but at what cost to them? I walked through the entire aquarium in about an hour and a half, and that was with lingering at the sharks and some other exhibits. The gift shop has some cute items, and the staff there are helpful. I didn't see any other staff except the person admitting entrants. read more

Taking my son to the aquarium is always a great time. I will encourage you to avoid when there are school field trips--and they are frequent!! But when there isn't a school field trip it feels like we have the whole place to ourselves! We always experience something new at this aquarium. At least one of the fish/animals act new each time. This is a must see for anyone in the Tulsa area! The Oklahoma Aquarium is hands down the most amazing aquarium I have ever visited. There are so many fish that you will see that you have never heard of or thought you've the opportunity to see. The aquarium is super clean and you can tell the tanks are well maintained. All of the employees I encountered were very friendly and happy to answer any questions I had. There is the amazing opportunity to feed the sea turtles and stingrays. The shark tunnel is my favorite exhibit. There is no experience like walking through a tunnel surrounded by sharks. The aquarium has a cute cafe with a variety of different snacks, drinks and meals. The gift shop has a huge variety of toys, candy, shirts, glasses etc. There is a big, really nice playground located outside the cafe. A sad and very soggy museum of slowly dying fish and sea life. Very sad and poorly kept. The staff here doesn't seem competent. The tanks are covered in mold and mildew, a soggy damp smell permeates the air along with child barf. Crowds of unruly kids all over, throwing trash into the touch pools. There are a lot of tripping hazards with mismatched flooring and high spots with no labels. The Cafe is crazy overpriced, like movie theater level prices... bring snacks. They are so over worked no one cares if you eat a whole packed lunch in the shark tank... apparently. read more

It's tough for me to rate this as a five star aquarium as I grew up going to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago which had everything from Beluga whales to coelacanth and I wanted to be a marine biologist growing up. For Oklahoma, this is not as big, but definitely a nice collection of aquatic life from around the world. As a whole this is a super family friendly place! Exhibits are wonderful and easy to understand. Interactive activities were available both free and feedings for additional fee. Self led discovery opportunities are present, educational and fun. A bit pricey...$18 for adults, $13 for kids so for a family of 4 you are looking at dropping a cool $62...ouch. A family pass is $140, so three visits and it's paid for! We did the family pass to encourage ourselves to visit more often. The negatives...I would have liked to see a more complete display of local aquatic life...lots of species missed. I would like to have seen some educational docents or guides providing additional educational opportunities. Staff was masked up and there were plenty of stations with hand sanitizer. Visitors, however, did not wear masks as a rule and did not socially distance, understandable with little ones that just want to see...so you need to protect yourself...if you go. read more

They had other fun ones I'm definitely going to get when I visit again. I am a little sad they don't allow m a student discount and it did appear a bit pricey! Though the experience was worth it in the end! There were tons of fish, a sea turtle, an octopus (who i couldn't find), lots of sharks, and lots of other unique fish. It's rainy outside so it's a great day for a indoor activity. The Oklahoma aquarium is a great attraction in Jenks Oklahoma. Admission can be high for a large family but they do have membership packages. I was able to use my military discount which made my ticket significantly cheaper. The aquarium is a great place for young children as they have a lot of displays to touch fish, eels and what not. I'm not much of a tactile person so seeing the beautiful fish was enough for me. The shark display is great as you walk thru a tunnel. Personally I could do this exhibit in 30minutes maybe longer if I had a margarita!! Young kids would definitely love the aquarium. Due to Covid many of the feeding times where canceled as to not attract large crowds. Overall a great outing read more

Beyond expectations. I was in Tulsa for business and brought my husband and grown children with me so that I could spend time with them as well. Finding things to do each afternoon was tough. My daughter chose to take a chance on the aquarium thinking it couldn't compete with the ones back home along the gulf coast. It was fantastic! Four adults thoroughly enjoyed it! Worth the money and we felt young again. My daughter especially loved it. We saw marine life that we hadn't before! It wasn't too crowded either. Nice place. Felt it was an overpriced for the location, quality, and interaction. They have a feed the turtles and sting ray section that cost $5 for each container. The turtles food was 3 shavings of carrots and the stingrays were 3 shrimp. Food section has a pretty good selection. There is a nice playground out back.
