They make it pretty hassle-free to get taxes done for a reasonable price. Even during the pandemic, I appreciate the safety precautions this office takes and it's still as efficient as before. Appointments aren't required. No one is physically allowed into the office, but you can still walk up to the office during tax season and pass over all your documents to the front desk. They'll handle it while you wait around outside and have a few chairs spread out for those who want a seat. As a returning customer, it only took me about 30mins on a Friday afternoon to be in and out of there this year with my taxes filed. Parking isn't plentiful around this part of town, but there is a small shared lot underground. Make sure to grab your parking validation before you leave so you can park here for free.

Located in an older multi story building, under ground parking is available, and free with validation. Escalator has been broken for years, so take the elevators. There are two accounting business here, on the 2nd fl., and right next door to each other. Rober Chiu is the one on the left. Just an average size and average looking office, nothing special as far as the decor goes. We originally used Mr. Chiu, but after years of using him, he was busy one time, and we ended up using another accountant within his office. That's when we met his assistant, Miranda, she is just great. She speaks both english and chinese, she is very nice, friendly and attentive, she is extremely smart and helpful. She's always aware of new tax laws that are out. We haven't stopped using her since. Going on about 16 years now. Great service, free parking, what more can you ask for? We will be back next year, 5 stars from me.

I wish we could give Yosef Manela's office NO stars…read more TOTAL FRAUD in our opinion. We were with them for 3 or 4 years. First of all Yosef charges prime rates. So you expect to get prime service. But that's not the case. Every time you want to reach him you need to wait on the phone and then he picks up then he keeps putting you on hold then tells you to email him. He answers emails pretty fast; However, when you go to meet him, you should carve out 4 hours of your day. He is all over the place, in and out of the office, picks up the phone in the middle your talk, calls the front desk in and out and and and... Tell you unrelated stories and tried to make it that he sounds super smart and know it all because he is a CPA and a lawyer. Now let's get to the goodies. When he reviews your tax return before filing, first of all, his juniors handle everything, they type in all the numbers and they all keep asking him questions, then he simply scrolls up and down your file and makes a few changes. And if you ask about something you don't understand, he simply says "We do that next year", "That's not going to save you" and etc. This year was last year we filed with them and I just had 2 separate CPA firms review his filings. HE IS TOTALLY OFF... Many items he put on there are not even the items I have reported. Calculations are wrong. Name of the business are wrong... IT IS A MESS. Over the years he charged us (and I know of a couple of other clients) thousands of dollars and when you ask for small things he charges you and sends you a bill. Go to an HONEST firm. Don't waste your time, energy and money with this firm. There are so many other CPA firms that are ETHICAL. This is NOT one of them.

Mr. Manela Yosef advised me on everything I was doing right and wrong with my business and right then and then said I will never have to worry about business and personal taxes again! I came prepared with all my documents and figures in my briefcase, my just proceeded to start doing the taxes for both California and D.C. right there, the last two weeks I tried going to different CPAs trying to find someone who can at least see me for 15 minutes let alone do my taxes. I saw one other CPA around 90036 and that other CPA just gave me the scared tactic and lied to me and gave me all this bad advise, i'm not going to name names but don't always trust Yelp when they have 15 5 star ratings it means they are probably paying Yelp. Mr. Manela Yosef is straight, to the point, QUICK, it was my fault I didn't file on time but we make great looking website and mobile app we can't do taxes! I'm referring my friend to Mr. Yosef who does graphic design also and sometimes works on a 1099. I communicated that clearly when her team reached out and also shared that I intended to return next year. At that point, I was explicitly told I would be **deleted from the system** and treated as a new client because I did not file with them this year, despite a 6 year client relationship. That included being placed on a waitlist, paying significantly higher fees, and no longer working with Kristina directly, but instead being reassigned to someone else on her team. I spoke with Kristina directly to better understand the decision, and she confirmed this is now standard policy. What made this particularly frustrating is that this is not a large corporate structure where policies are fixed or inflexible. This is her business, and these are policies that have been recently introduced and are fully within her control. Applying them this rigidly, without any consideration for a long-standing client relationship, felt unnecessary and reduced a long-term client relationship to a transaction. After 6 years of consistent business, being effectively reset after one year of not needing services is difficult to justify from a client perspective. This ultimately reflects poor relationship management. I would strongly recommend clarifying continuity expectations in advance, as prior client history ultimately carries no weight under this model.
