I sent a message to Robert via YELP, and he responded to me immediately. Robert called me and asked a few general questions and we set up a time for me to drop off my paperwork. (He gave me the option off dropping off my documents or having my taxes done in person within social distancing guidelines.) I stopped by his office on Friday to give him my stuff and by Wednesday my taxes were done. I was impressed with the quick turnaround. My previous person would take weeks (unless I stayed in the office while she prepared them.) I also received a text confirming that my e-file was complete. I told Robert that I would mail checks for the amount owed. When I returned to pick up my documents, he had my tax paperwork all organized in a nice presentation folder and provided addressed envelopes with my payment vouchers so I could send the checks. Robert was very efficient, and his fee was reasonable (less than what I paid my previous person.) He was also very professional and polite. His professional excellence and patience helped me save thousands of dollars from mistakes in my past filings that should have been returned to me. If you are looking for a trustworthy and experienced accountant at a reasonable price to save you money, you do not have to look further! I sold my house in Arizona for a big loss back in 2014, and my former accountant made a mistake and did not get me a large sum of money that I'm entitled to, over $18,000 to be exact. During my filing for 2017 return with Mr. Li, he spotted the error and worked with me for long hours to sort out a pile of years of my past tax returns. To be honest it was a mess, but throughout the whole thing Mr. Li did not lose his patience one bit and really spent the time to analyze my situation and worked on how to amend the mistakes. Only with his detailed explanation during this tedious process did I start to see the complexity of the NOL (Net Operating Loss) that carries across multiple years and how the mistakes were made and affected me. Eventually he helped me file two amendments, one to the State of CA requesting a return of over $5,000 and another to Federal for over $13,000. So far, I have received the state return and am still waiting for the federal return.
