A great place for small Asian fusion bites and a special occasion! The dining area is quite small and intimate but the tables are beautifully set and the service is top notch professional. We decided to order the chefs special in which 5 pieces of sashimi were picked for us. Each melted in the mouth and tasted so fresh. Their ramen egg was delightful and the edamame had a unique seasoning. The parking can be difficult and it is a pricey meal but worth the beautiful flavors for a special occasion or apps.

What an AMAZING dinner on my actual bday. It made turning 50 a little easier. A huge thanks to my brother for setting up this special meal- it was fabulous. We loved everything we ate there esp the sushi and beef tartare on crispy rice. The service was great, our server was so kind and friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The ambiance was classy and pretty. Thanks for a great meal! I would love to come back here the next time we're in the area.

We made a reservation and went in wanting an omakase, we were told that wasn't possible at the time we sat which was totally okay but a little frustrating because there was no differentiation when reserving online. But that should have told our server that we were ready to spend an absurd amount of money on an experience. 15 minutes in we were finally able to order drinks. We saw our server running about tending to different tables, so we waited patiently. Then she came over to stand at the table beside us. They didn't need anything immediately. She stood, I tried to make eye contact to denote we were ready to order. She continued to look at the table beside us before abruptly turning and leaving. She proceeded to take other tables drink orders, someone ordered bottle service so they took precedence. 15 minutes later we were finally able to order food. I saw it was busy so i gave the benefit of the doubt but it felt as if until we spent a certain amount of money, we were largely ignored. We were also the youngest patrons in the resraurant. The quality of food and drinks were great, I would give that 5 stars. I've had better but it was still a very solid option. The hamachi was next level, best fish of the evening. The duck & foie gyoza were delightful, perfect bites. But I cannot get over the poor experience our server provided. I won't go out of my way to be back. The prices are not worth the dishes, despite the quality of fish.

    Very flavorful Sushi pieces.

Was treated by my daughter for father's day, which made it very special. The place is cozy, with dark ambience and the service was spectacular. It is right on the corner of 133 and Post Road and they have a small Parking lot in the back, which seems to be shared by a few other restaurants, so Parking was a bit challenging if you want to park closer, otherwise there is a public garage on 133 that can be used. The food is on the pricier side, but if you want to enjoy the best sushi, this place simply ROCKED. Each piece was very flavorful and probably the best sushi I have had. This was accompanied with the hand rolls, which had a very cool presentation, wrapped in a seaweed cone. We also ordered the Marinated King Salmon Poke, which was awesome. For main course we had the Madeira-Miso Glazed Salmon, which came with grilled shiitake, baby bok choy, madeira butter. That shiitake mushroom was out of this world, very well done. Lastly my daughter insisted that I try their Matcha Kit Kat dessert, which came with peanut butter & hazelnut & matcha white chocolate, a very simple yet unique creation. Overall, great place to impress a date or for special occasions. Glad I was treated there!

A classy way to experience Japanese cuisine! Love the vibe at this former firehouse. We visited on a Wednesday evening and they were packed, so this is definitely a popular spot, and for good reason! They have a great variety on the menu with some unique items that I don't see too often on typical Japanese restaurants, like the crab fried rice with quail eggs and wild mushroom bao. We really enjoyed the matcha Kit Kats for dessert! Impressive timing from the kitchen and professional staff. Definitely a great place to dine in Westport!

One of my favorite dining experiences I've had in a while! Oko was an absolutely amazing spot and such a cozy atmosphere to enjoy the most delicious and fresh sushi, tempura, appetizers, and entrees. Everything was thoughtfully made. It was truly like a work of art!! The service was great. Different servers came by and gave recommendations of what some of their favorite dishes were. Everyone working there was definitely super passionate about the food!

The food here was great! Not really a traditional Japanese place but the fusion that the chef included was amazing. I highly recommend wagyu beef and foie gras sushi. In addition to the interesting sushi selection, their hot food was great too. Service was good but the restaurant was very crowded and kind of loud. Make sure you make a reservation days ahead of time.

My friends and I wanted something a bit different for our Friday night outing so they settled on OKO Kitchen. This was my first time dining in Westport (I try not to explore non-diverse cities in CT) so I knew it'd be interesting. There was no parking when we got there so we parked in the garage for free across from the parking lot. We sat by the window and the waitress came to take our drink orders. I immediately noticed her off-putting attitude but I didn't want to jump into conclusions in the event that it was just me. Since this was ALL our first time here, we asked several questions as to what to order and she was extremely rude, purposeful antagonistic and downright mean. I immediately asked for her to be switched out and the manager served us the remainder of the evening. We ended up getting several hand rolls, the lobster roll, octopus and the wild mushroom bao. The food was decent but I've certainly had way better sushi. Our drink, the Ninja, was really good as I got mine with Bourbon. Overall, I will absolutely never rerun back to this establishment. For the waitress to be as rude as she was, and for the food to just be decent, it's certainly not worth the drive or the price ($211 for such a little bit of food).

Had the most phenominal meal at OKO in Westport last night. Can't believe it'd taken us this long to check out this spot! Sushi lovers, you have GOT to give this place a try. We were amazed with how many flavors were packed into each small bite. To start, we got two FANTASTIC drinks. We finished them craving another. The Gingered Ninja was reccomended to me by the waitress and it did not dissapoint a ginger lover like myself! We had to get the crispies because we saw them all over instagram. We thought the tuna crispies were great, but were completely blown away by the wagyu beef crispies complete with a quail egg on top. The flavors were so incredible and if you're going to get anything on the menu, definitely make those your top pick. The sticky ribs were as good as they were photogenic, and the two pieces of sashimi we got were PACKED with flavor even though they were just one bite each. Ramen eggs were also a popular item that we had to try. Overall, this place is a quite pricey, but for the beautiful ambiance you get with outdoor seating on the water and the incredible flavors we experienced, this place is a 10/10!

When we are in Westport, OKO is our go to place for celebrations.  The food is good, the vibe is upbeat and they have some tasty cocktails.  Just remember to make a reservation enough in advance or you'll be eating really early or really late.   This last double birthday, we enjoyed a whole range of appetizers and entrees from the shiro chips and dip to the tempura, salmon poke, a wonderful hand roll and the chef's selection of tempura.  We also liked the spicy squid and pork belly lettuce cups though the lettuce cups provided were really small.  The duck and foie gras dumplings and the okonomiyaki were also good.  Our favorite every time though, are the sticky ribs.  It's a good thing they give everyone a sachet of hand wipes after because we dive right in and don't hold back.  If you are the birthday celebrant, oko presents you with a candle and a big cookie. It's a nice touch. Our favorite drinks tend towards the sweet side with the Clementina and the heat of passion.  The pineapple express and the one knight only are also good.  If you prefer more of the taste of the alcohol then the oolong old fashioned may be the one to choose.  The parking lot had construction the last time we dined at OKO and so the handicapped spaces are on the other side of the building and it is a bit of a hike to get to the entrance. Be careful of where the sidewalk dips down a bit.  The restaurant is lively but this last visit was not as overwhelmingly noisy as our last one.  Perhaps it was because we reserved late and got one of the very early seatings...

Ive been there for dinner time as well, it's lively, loud in a good way, and immediately feels like somewhere you could stay for hours. I ordered the miso ramen, and it was honestly one of the most satisfying bowls of ramen I've had in Connecticut. The broth was the star of the dish its deep, rich, savory, and layered with that perfect balance of umami and subtle sweetness from the miso and a bit nitty form the sesame seeds. The noodles had the perfect texture: chewy, springy, and able to hold onto the broth beautifully. Nothing was overcooked or mushy . What impressed me most was how balanced the ramen was. Some ramen spots go overboard with salt or spice, but this bowl felt refined. Rich but not greasy. Flavorful but not overpowering. You could tell there was actual technique behind it. The portion size was also generous enough to leave completely full without feeling uncomfortable afterward. The service matched the food perfectly and so freaking sweet. Only drawback is everything is takeout, so it's a pretty wasteful experience with all the paper plates (the stairs leading up are probably too narrow for carrying dishes). The food was just so-so. Def one of those sceney places where prices are high and people dress up more to dine. The best dish was the soothing yuzu salmon over rice entree, while the chicken wings, crab fried rice, snd tofu pockets were all a little junky and overly dressed. Wouldn't come back but so loved that rooftop.

3 Sept. 2026 There…read moreare not enough words to describe how substandard our meal was at Good Hope Dumpling and Ramen House. We were so hopeful, as the Yelp ratings were competitive; other patrons were there dining when we arrived; and several people came for takeout orders. We ordered chives pork dumplings and Tan Tan Ramen. All standard fare. Both were completely inedible. The filling for the chive pork dumplings looked undercooked; the appetizer was presented in a haphazard fashion; the dipping sauce lacked flavor; and the dumplings themselves were fried on one side and soggy and undercooked on the other. We managed a nibble. The Tan Tan Ramen was even worse. (They must buy stock photographs online to represent their dishes. The Tan Tan Ramen in person looks nothing like the pictures online.) The "broth" was completely insipid, with no depth of flavor. It was actually watery, and my lunch company described it as "tomato sauce diluted with water." We were shocked at how bad it was. It's a very small shop, and it was uncomfortable because the workers were essentially watching us as we ate. We do not like to hurt people's feelings, and so we got everything to go. After we left, we threw everything away and were left with a metallic, awful aftertaste from having tried some of the Tan Tan Ramen and sharp stomach pains from what we suspect were the pork dumplings. Part of the issue may be that this is a kind of Pan-Asian or Asian-fusion place. It seemed more Chinese than anything else. Maybe the Chines dishes are good. The Ramen should be taken off the menu immediately. They have "ramen" and "dumpling" in their name, suggesting that they have mastered these two dishes. They most certainly have not. Avoid. This. Place. (Also, just drive to New Haven's The Loop and compare.)

The shop looks small from the outside, but once you step in, it's surprisingly spacious. Clean, well-lit, and nicely laid out. Comfortable for dining in. We were seated immediately. Our hostess, Amber, was very patient and helpful since it was our first time. We decided to order a little bit of everything, and that was the right move. We went with the five-piece drumsticks, split half soy garlic and half Korean BBQ. The chicken is double-fried, which gives it an incredible crunch on the outside while staying juicy inside. The soy garlic was savory with a touch of sweetness and very well balanced. The Korean BBQ had more heat and bold flavor, coated in a sticky, sweet-spicy glaze that keeps you going back for more. The meal came with coleslaw, which honestly surprised me. I'm not usually a coleslaw person, but this one worked. Lightly sweet, creamy, and refreshing. It paired well with the chicken and helped cut through the richness. We also ordered the seasoned fries, and they were excellent. Crispy, well-seasoned, and topped with garlic, parmesan, and parsley that actually added flavor instead of just looking good. Easily one of the better fry sides I've had with fried chicken. Everything came out hot, fresh, and clearly made with care. If you've never had Korean fried chicken before, Bonchon is a great place to start. I'll definitely be back.
