A great place for small Asian fusion bites and a special occasion! The dining area is quite small and intimate but the tables are beautifully set and the service is top notch professional. We decided to order the chefs special in which 5 pieces of sashimi were picked for us. Each melted in the mouth and tasted so fresh. Their ramen egg was delightful and the edamame had a unique seasoning. The parking can be difficult and it is a pricey meal but worth the beautiful flavors for a special occasion or apps.

What an AMAZING dinner on my actual bday. It made turning 50 a little easier. A huge thanks to my brother for setting up this special meal- it was fabulous. We loved everything we ate there esp the sushi and beef tartare on crispy rice. The service was great, our server was so kind and friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The ambiance was classy and pretty. Thanks for a great meal! I would love to come back here the next time we're in the area.

We made a reservation and went in wanting an omakase, we were told that wasn't possible at the time we sat which was totally okay but a little frustrating because there was no differentiation when reserving online. But that should have told our server that we were ready to spend an absurd amount of money on an experience. 15 minutes in we were finally able to order drinks. We saw our server running about tending to different tables, so we waited patiently. Then she came over to stand at the table beside us. They didn't need anything immediately. She stood, I tried to make eye contact to denote we were ready to order. She continued to look at the table beside us before abruptly turning and leaving. She proceeded to take other tables drink orders, someone ordered bottle service so they took precedence. 15 minutes later we were finally able to order food. I saw it was busy so i gave the benefit of the doubt but it felt as if until we spent a certain amount of money, we were largely ignored. We were also the youngest patrons in the resraurant. The quality of food and drinks were great, I would give that 5 stars. I've had better but it was still a very solid option. The hamachi was next level, best fish of the evening. The duck & foie gyoza were delightful, perfect bites. But I cannot get over the poor experience our server provided. I won't go out of my way to be back. The prices are not worth the dishes, despite the quality of fish.

    Very flavorful Sushi pieces.

Was treated by my daughter for father's day, which made it very special. The place is cozy, with dark ambience and the service was spectacular. It is right on the corner of 133 and Post Road and they have a small Parking lot in the back, which seems to be shared by a few other restaurants, so Parking was a bit challenging if you want to park closer, otherwise there is a public garage on 133 that can be used. The food is on the pricier side, but if you want to enjoy the best sushi, this place simply ROCKED. Each piece was very flavorful and probably the best sushi I have had. This was accompanied with the hand rolls, which had a very cool presentation, wrapped in a seaweed cone. We also ordered the Marinated King Salmon Poke, which was awesome. For main course we had the Madeira-Miso Glazed Salmon, which came with grilled shiitake, baby bok choy, madeira butter. That shiitake mushroom was out of this world, very well done. Lastly my daughter insisted that I try their Matcha Kit Kat dessert, which came with peanut butter & hazelnut & matcha white chocolate, a very simple yet unique creation. Overall, great place to impress a date or for special occasions. Glad I was treated there!

A classy way to experience Japanese cuisine! Love the vibe at this former firehouse. We visited on a Wednesday evening and they were packed, so this is definitely a popular spot, and for good reason! They have a great variety on the menu with some unique items that I don't see too often on typical Japanese restaurants, like the crab fried rice with quail eggs and wild mushroom bao. We really enjoyed the matcha Kit Kats for dessert! Impressive timing from the kitchen and professional staff. Definitely a great place to dine in Westport!

One of my favorite dining experiences I've had in a while! Oko was an absolutely amazing spot and such a cozy atmosphere to enjoy the most delicious and fresh sushi, tempura, appetizers, and entrees. Everything was thoughtfully made. It was truly like a work of art!! The service was great. Different servers came by and gave recommendations of what some of their favorite dishes were. Everyone working there was definitely super passionate about the food!

The food here was great! Not really a traditional Japanese place but the fusion that the chef included was amazing. I highly recommend wagyu beef and foie gras sushi. In addition to the interesting sushi selection, their hot food was great too. Service was good but the restaurant was very crowded and kind of loud. Make sure you make a reservation days ahead of time.

My friends and I wanted something a bit different for our Friday night outing so they settled on OKO Kitchen. This was my first time dining in Westport (I try not to explore non-diverse cities in CT) so I knew it'd be interesting. There was no parking when we got there so we parked in the garage for free across from the parking lot. We sat by the window and the waitress came to take our drink orders. I immediately noticed her off-putting attitude but I didn't want to jump into conclusions in the event that it was just me. Since this was ALL our first time here, we asked several questions as to what to order and she was extremely rude, purposeful antagonistic and downright mean. I immediately asked for her to be switched out and the manager served us the remainder of the evening. We ended up getting several hand rolls, the lobster roll, octopus and the wild mushroom bao. The food was decent but I've certainly had way better sushi. Our drink, the Ninja, was really good as I got mine with Bourbon. Overall, I will absolutely never rerun back to this establishment. For the waitress to be as rude as she was, and for the food to just be decent, it's certainly not worth the drive or the price ($211 for such a little bit of food).

When we are in Westport, OKO is our go to place for celebrations.  The food is good, the vibe is upbeat and they have some tasty cocktails.  Just remember to make a reservation enough in advance or you'll be eating really early or really late.   This last double birthday, we enjoyed a whole range of appetizers and entrees from the shiro chips and dip to the tempura, salmon poke, a wonderful hand roll and the chef's selection of tempura.  We also liked the spicy squid and pork belly lettuce cups though the lettuce cups provided were really small.  The duck and foie gras dumplings and the okonomiyaki were also good.  Our favorite every time though, are the sticky ribs.  It's a good thing they give everyone a sachet of hand wipes after because we dive right in and don't hold back.  If you are the birthday celebrant, oko presents you with a candle and a big cookie. It's a nice touch. Our favorite drinks tend towards the sweet side with the Clementina and the heat of passion.  The pineapple express and the one knight only are also good.  If you prefer more of the taste of the alcohol then the oolong old fashioned may be the one to choose.  The parking lot had construction the last time we dined at OKO and so the handicapped spaces are on the other side of the building and it is a bit of a hike to get to the entrance. Be careful of where the sidewalk dips down a bit.  The restaurant is lively but this last visit was not as overwhelmingly noisy as our last one.  Perhaps it was because we reserved late and got one of the very early seatings...

We were going to go somewhere else, but they were closed and this popped up on Yelp so we decided to give it a try. Everything was so good - the tuna tartare was finely ground tuna and had an almost sweet flavor, served with a delicious chipotle sauce. Was a big portion for an app. The seaweed salad was also a pretty big portion and we ended up saving it for the next day. Gyoza was standard but good. The Mount Fuji was so good - a bunch of different types of seafood with a lot of flavor. I barely even added soy sauce because it overpowered the more gentle but present flavors of all the fish. For rolls, we got the pink lady roll, spicy girl roll, sex and the city roll, and yamafuji roll. Each one was better than the last and I'd get them all again! They were BIG and filling. Last thing we got was the sushi pizza which was SO GOOD. The "crust" was a scallion pancake and it had so much flavor. Would definitely order everything again!

Ive been there for dinner time as well, it's lively, loud in a good way, and immediately feels like somewhere you could stay for hours. I ordered the miso ramen, and it was honestly one of the most satisfying bowls of ramen I've had in Connecticut. The broth was the star of the dish its deep, rich, savory, and layered with that perfect balance of umami and subtle sweetness from the miso and a bit nitty form the sesame seeds. The noodles had the perfect texture: chewy, springy, and able to hold onto the broth beautifully. Nothing was overcooked or mushy . What impressed me most was how balanced the ramen was. Some ramen spots go overboard with salt or spice, but this bowl felt refined. Rich but not greasy. Flavorful but not overpowering. You could tell there was actual technique behind it. The portion size was also generous enough to leave completely full without feeling uncomfortable afterward. The service matched the food perfectly and so freaking sweet. A little bit of heat, a bunch of flavor. I'm drooling just thinking about it! The chili dumplings were good but a little too spicy for me! We also really enjoyed the kimchi carbonara and personally, I'm a sucker for udon noodles! And now the star of the show for me and something I've ordered three times now! The crab fried rice! The crab is so tender and buttery, like it actually melts in your mouth. And the pork belly chunks in it, also tender and delicious. I like dream of this dish every week! It's solid, reliable, family-friendly, and consistent. Where else can you get a salad, soup, a generous hibachi dinner, and a little entertainment from the chef for around $35 a person? Kids are under $20, too. In an era when a casual dinner out can easily cost twice that (or even a sandwich and coffee), it's refreshing to find a place that still delivers good value. We all had an amazing dinner and the food was perfectly cooked. 5. Atmosphere. The hibachi room is loud (like really loud) when it's busy/full. This really was the only less than ideal part. There's like 8-10 hibachi tables in one room with low ceilings so it's a lot of stimulation. My grandma couldn't hear anything throughout dinner. The tofu was lightly crisp on the outside and silky inside, sitting in a savory broth that balanced sweetness and umami nicely. Paired with a cold Sapporo, it set the tone for a solid evening. My girlfriend ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen, which came out steaming and fragrant. The broth was creamy and pork forward with a steady heat that built gradually without overwhelming the palate.
