It was bleeding and messy and I knew you had to be careful with cat scratches as they can become infected so I decided to visit the KP Mobile in Napili Park instead of driving an hour to the other side to get treatment. (My Drs surgery burned down in the fires and she is now based in Kihei). I was pleasantly surprised they agreed to treat me as I have a different insurance provider. They have an excellent setup at Napili with a large RV Mobile Drs office, and tents staffed by Walgreens for RXs, etc. All in one place, all free and ready to help anyone who needs it. The ladies working there were quick to sign me in, wash my wound, give me antibiotic gel to take home and a prescription for antibiotics to pick up from Walgreens. There were a number of other patients there all being well looked after, including one who had an ambulance called to admit him to hospital on the other side. It is fantastic that Kaiser are looking after the whole community on the west side, for free, with a brand new state of the art mobile medical bus and caring professional staff. MAHALO Kaiser!

I chose this urgent care office after reading a few mentions on Trip Advisor forums, plus they were the only place that accepted BCBS PPO from the mainland US. Great benefit! The wait time was reasonable, and the service was pleasant. Turns out I couldn't hear because my ear was filled with wax and sand from swimming. Treatment was a quick ear flushing. Glad it wasn't anything more complicated because for the short visit and treatment, the office billed my insurance over $200. Not cheap, but worth the price if you're on vacation.

She took my info and then stated I had missed an appointment early September for my bloodwork follow up in Kihei! Firstly I went to the free Kaiser RV setup in Napili Park for any medical issues then not MMG as we were restricted from leaving the area after the August fire and MMG were not on this side, their clinic burned down. Secondly the blood work was taken 4 weeks ago in December in Napili! She was really awful, kept me waiting ages, then gave me an appointment in a couple of days time once she crucified me for my supposed missing a September appointment. I really didn't need to wait 10 mins for her to make her supposed point. My bloods were taken 3 months after the date she said I missed an appointment for blood work follow up. I really am glad that MMG have reopened in Napili. However the receptionist torturing me for missing an appointment I hadn't made and making me wait 10 mins to make an appointment was unfair. I'm finding Napili MMG clinic totally disorganised and unhelpful. I waited 2 hours for my bloods with a pre booked appointment, and waited 10 mins for an appointment in person to be booked for a follow up. People on the west side don't need this type of stress or time wasting when we are dealing with FEMA, Red Cross, etc. The receptionist should be ashamed treating clients this way. Please, organise your office Napil MMG. Once you get passed this first hurdle the other staff are fantastic. Dr Denton's nurse is excellent as is Dr Denton. It is just a pain trying to get an appointment or any valid help from reception before you get to the next layer.

I visited with a displaced friend staying in a govt run hotel with Parkinsons who needed a check up and medicines and we were welcomed, signed in, and seeing a Dr within 10 minutes. I want to say a HUGE thank you to the National Guard medic Evangelista who helped us along the way and smoothed everything over for us. She went out of her way to assist and advise, she really was amazing. So was the Dr who did the health check up. On the way out we were offered a free flu shot and since my friend is a fragile 71 year old it was a relief to get it. They are giving out free covid boosters next week so I'm going to take him back in for one. We shall also be returning for dental and optical too as he hasn't had either for a while. We also got free RX refills for him which helped a lot financially too. The efficiency, friendliness, and professionalism at this center is amazing. In this crazy post disaster world they are a shining light! After multiple frustrations dealing with Red Cross, FEMA and everything else this was the easiest thing to succeed in and such a relief. Find them just below the Civic Centre in Lahaina. Free parking. Right beside the Disaster Relief building. HUGE MAHALO to all the staff and National Guard for looking after our Ohana :)
