This all changed on the 22nd of December because they hosted an incredible market there that day. The name of it escapes me, but it was a creepy Christmas extravaganza! Right up my alley. I had so much fun talking to and buying from the vendors and spent way too much on presents for loved ones. It was two floors, but the elevator was easily accessible, which is a nice touch for us disabled folks. The upstairs was just as lovely. The staff was incredibly helpful and didn't appear to hate their jobs, which counts for something. The smiled as I got my drink at the bar, they smiled when I was on the first floor and needed to throw something out, and they even smiled as I walked in. They all do a great job there, especially with the place so clean and decorated for the holidays. I had so much fun here. I shopped. I drank. Heck, I even sat with Krampus. Merry Creepmas. 5 stars

I've been going to the Kenmore Library since I was an infant and I have loved it for as long as I…read morecan remember. Even though I haven't lived in Kenmore in nearly a decade, I still find myself visiting this library whenever I'm home seeing family. During my most recent visit, I actually stopped by twice to use the computers for some business I needed to take care of as I hadn't brought my laptop with me. While I still maintain my Buffalo & Erie County Public Library Card, I did not have it with me. Not too worry though as the librarians were so kind to set me up with a temporary/guest pass to use the computers. During previous visits I've used the glass rooms/study areas to really focus as they are a bit more private and definitely reduce noise (not that it's a noisy library). The book selection is decent and I'm honestly so impressed by the number and variety of classes, workshops, and programs this library hosts. It is such a hub for learning, creativity, and community!!! Five stars!!! Libraries are so magical and this one is especially near and dear to my heart :)

I approached the desk and asked the women where I could find one. They looked at me like I was crazy and said "we don't have that, I don't even know what that is" I opened their resource binder to show them that they did in fact have the cd drive. They followed it up by looking in their system and saying "well it's lost". They were not very friendly during this interaction and I'm disappointed with their lack of knowledge. This is a fine basic library if you want to hop on a computer quickly or checkout a book, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything more than that. Kind of disappointing because I've been to some great, helpful, friendly libraries and the Kenmore location fell short.

For example there is not one title by Kate Mosse, a very well known historical fiction author. It's a large newer building with a lot of poorly utilized space and a poor selection.

I have fond memories of my grandparents taking me to the West Seneca Library when I was young. I…read moreloved it and the vibe. It was comforting. It was peace. It wasn't the same building that I walked into when my friends and I took a little field trip after work to get one of my friends a library card. This library is stunning, both on the inside and out. There is a fireplace, study rooms to rent out, ample computers, sell check out, and a gorgeous children's section that makes you feel wrapped up in a hug. There is also a Spot Coffee, which we stopped at and I ordered a less sweet Caramel Macchiato, which was good. My other friends ordered a hot chocolate, and then some sandwiches. This is the ultimate hang out spot and meet up spot. I can't wait to travel to the West Seneca Library more frequently, even if it is to just chill and snuggle in by the fireplace.

I pass by the Elma Library at least twice a week and never had the opportunity to stop in until…read morerecently when on my lunch break I headed over there to check it out and get my passport stamp. The passport stamp, which is every library is handing out a unique sticker and after visiting all 37 libraries in Erie County, and if you are the first 1,000, will receive a gold library card. It goes from May 1 through Aug. 31., 2026. The library is cute and features a red Adirondak chair out front that is the perfect size for a giant. I also got a packet of bean seeds that will hopefully flourish in my garden. There was a sign near the entrance that also showed all the amazing things you can check out of this library that didn't include books. I noticed immediately the glockenspiel and a ukelele. Pretty cool. There is a large parking lot.

Much like my previous review, you Tonawanda around here at night. It's just not safe. OK, I'm kidding, it's fine. I used to play soccer in NT for years. I lived right beside it for what seemed like forever. I remember one too many Canalfests. Who doesn't love Canalfest? My fave restaurant around here is probably Roman Cafe. It doesn't quite have the food options that some of the other suburbs have, that would be one thing I would count as a score against it. On the other hand, it's not in Erie County (which is a good thing... Niagara County is a little less corrupt imo), and it's got some absolutely beautiful scenery and some spectacular wildlife. If you want Pizza and Wings in this area I recommend Good Guys. They're not bad... they're in fact, good.

The Toddler Time sessions with Ms. Laurie are super fun and will help you get to naptime. There's no registration necessary like some of the other local libraries. And beyond books and media they have many computers, toys and a scavenger hunt for little folks.
