They used both Laughing gas and general anesthesia for cavity treatment. When you go for general check-up and find cavity, Normally a doctor would have discussed course of procedure they going to perform. like what kind of anesthesia they going use, what kind of filling n all. But nothing was discussed. Right before our appointment to treat cavity, we got a text msg to sign the laughing gas consent or else the appointment's will be canceled .This an hour or 2 before our appointment. Most of the first time parents don't know what anesthesia is used on kids. we thought it is just a consent for using anesthesia which is obviously required for cavity treatment, we gave it without reading it. in the fine print it is written that they gave many option for anesthesia and we chose Laughing Gas at the cost of 70$ out of pocket. According to consent they didn't gave us any option. Also my husband was there for cavity treatments, when he found they use 2 kind of anesthesia obviously any parents will get furious. Instead of accepting there communication issue they bared both of my kids to visit any of there center. Its fine i can always look for a new doctor. But the way they treated us and kids is very unfair. read more

My Son has been going to TLTW since he was about 2 years old. He is now 7 and isn't worried about his visit to the dentist. The waiting room is very kid friendly. It has a mini arcade area, a TV which usually plays some cartoon that caters to all kids. The staff is pleasant and the doctor is great. My Son enjoys getting his routine cleaning and will sometimes get the laughing gas. He'll sit in the chair, lay back and he'll get to pick his favorite show to distract him. Appointments go quickly so make sure you call to schedule. I usually never have to worry after my Son is done, they email me months later and tell me its time for his checkup. Every visit at The Little Teeth Workshop is amazing. My daughter is 4 and was terrified to go to the dentist at first. Now, she is excited to go! She just got a cavity filled and she did so good! The dentist and nurses were so amazing in how they handled it. The dentist even passed the needle to numb her, under her so she wouldn't see it, and told her he was gonna put some water in her mouth and she didn't even notice he gave her a shot! They have tv's on the ceiling so she was so still and just watched the tv the whole time! I couldn't recommend them enough! read more

Absolutely love this place. The office staff is very professional. I take my 6 year son and my 1 year old daughter. I love the whole kid friendly office. Very colorful. My son feels comfortable and at ease with Dr.Iyer. And as a parent that is very important to me. Dr.Iyer has patiences and takes his time explaining everything to make sure we fully understand. My son gets excited when I tell him that I scheduled his appointment. He is always looking forward to go. It's worth my 35 minute drive..would highly recommend. My younger kid had a horrible experience at his previous dentist when he was 5, and for 2 whole years going to a dentist was out of question - he was that terrified! And then we discovered the Little Teeth Workshop and Dr. Iyer. From the time I called Dr.Iyer's office and talked to Ashley I had a good feeling(call it the 'Mom' sense!). She was very accommodating in getting me appointments when I wanted them - since I had to get both my kids in. The forms could be done online - which meant less paperwork and waiting in the office. When we got there, Ashley answered all my questions - I wasn't sure my younger one would even go in! Then we met Shivani - Dr. Iyer's assistant. She is a real treasure!! She let my younger one watch his brother's sitting, 'help' her and was calm and collected even when he initially bawled and refused to sit in the chair. They let my husband and I stay close by - Dr. Iyer was considerate enough to find out what had happened before, so they could modify his treatment accordingly and even talked him through his cleaning and sitting. My scared-of-the-dentist kid was smiling and talking nine-to-a-dozen by the time he was done. My older kid also liked the whole experience. This is the first time I've been to a dentist who put the kids and their needs first and not the insurance benefits!! I've taken my daughter to The Little Teeth Workshop 2x so far. I would definitely recommend. My daughter is now 10 and has always had issues with her teeth. I had been taking her to Kidzdent until my insurance changed. I was very nervous about taking her to a new dentist. The office staff was wonderful and the Dr. took his time with her, went over everything with me and made both of us comfortable. This dental office has been provider for my daughter for over two years. For last couple months we have been trying to get an apt for my daughter cleaning however they denied to make us any apt at the current office. So I waited another month and half and called again. I was told they still didn't have new apts for new office and that it would be after November. Dental can be very scary especially for children so I did try and wait it out but now I cannot wait any longer and have to find new provider. They also gave her crown and since insert it never fit right. I did express concern about they never fixed issue. If you needed any apts for problems good luck. They didn't even offer reference to new office we were told to find it on our own. I have worked in dental field for over 10 years off and on and never have I heard of office not taking cleanings for over six months. Not even that we can't even schedule still. I am happy I was able to find provider I used to work with and going to go there. I would not recommend this practice at all. read more

My daughter has been going to KidzDent since she was 1.Unfortunately my insurance changed and I was forced to go to this dentist . The first time we went they made us wait 40 minutes and literally saw her for 5 minutes to count her teeth and brush them with a toothbrush. So when it was time for her 6 month check-up I decided to give them another chance. When I made the appointment for 430 on a Friday I told them I may be a little late because I work in Newark and the woman was very nice and said it was fine to try my best. Needless to say Fridays going south is a nightmare in the summer. So we arrived 15 minutes late. When we got there my daughter was asleep in my arms and the woman was very rude. As my daughter woke up she was crying that she had to go to the bathroom. The woman said even though I was 15 minutes late that the doctor agreed to see me . Now mind you they made me wait 40 minutes last time. There bathroom was out of order so we had to go downstairs. As we were running downstairs the hygenist called us in. When I told her that my daughter had to use the bathroom she rolled her eyes and told us to just come in when we were done. My daughter was terrified and didn't want to sit in the chair which was unusual because like I said before she has been coming to the dentist every 6 months since she was 1 (she is now 3). The doctor came in saw us for 5 minutes. He literally counted her teeth and then brushed them. He made my daughter throw up after I warned him about her gagging. Needless to say I will not be returning anytime soon. I will pay the extra money to go to KidzDent !! read more
