Friendly and peaceful…read more Many cemeteries, especially old cemeteries, tend to be rather spooky and unpleasant places. Cool places to walk around and look at the old graves and history but certainly not places were you feel like you are welcome. Mount Hope Cemetery is definitely a different and unique type of graveyard. Really does have a park like feel to it and seems far more peaceful and friendly than spooky. Most of the graves are very well taken care of and have lots of cool and personal items around them. Red Sox flags, pictures of the deceased, statues of pets, favorite sayings and quotations, little benches with invitations to sit and spend some time and unique and different gravestones. One individual even had a gravestone in the shape of his favorite motorcycle. Just doesn't get much cooler than that. A very friendly and welcoming cemetery where the deceased aren't just names and dates but still individuals with unique personalities. A wonderful and fascinating cemetery to walk around, enjoy and wonder about what some of the cool souls were like when they were alive.

We were greeted by a woman (Sue?) who plopped done and quickly said, "So, Mrs. Rezendes, what are we doing today?" as casually as taking an order at McDonald's. We proceeded to tentatively explain that her beloved husband had died just the day prior and we weren't quite sure. She brusquely asked again about our plans, of which we had none, and offered very little solutions. When I asked about a short service on the coming weekend, Dec. 31-Jan. 2, she said it would be tough because "the New Year's holiday screwed us" and staff was limited. The experience was the exact opposite of what my mother-in-law and her sons needed, so the second time she left the room to check her calendar I followed her out, at the request of my family. I asked her if she could "please, bring it down a notch" because my mother-in-law was very upset and emotional, and she had a visceral, angry reaction. She said, "what the hell are you talking about?". I gave the examples above and asked that she speak with a bit more care. She rolled her eyes and yelled to her (husband?) Adam to get out here to deal with me. I thought Adam might diffuse the situation because clearly the bereaved should be respected, however he quickly said "no, we don't need this" and told me to leave. He followed me back to my family and told them to get out because they couldn't work with us. Never in my life have I been so disrespected, and on an extremely trying, emotional day. I expected care and compassion and was instead treated in the worst possible way. Luckily, we were able to make an appointment at Hathaway Family Funeral Homes, also in Fall River, that same day and received the service we expected from utmost professionals, for roughly the same price. The space was larger, more inviting, and staffed with warm, loving family members who would never treat anyone the way the Auclair family treated us. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and stay far away. PS - my husband posted a similar Google review shortly after our meeting (it used to appear above Rich B's review). Rest assured we will copy and paste this for as long as it takes to spread the word, regardless of how many times Auclair removes it.

We met with Bill from the Kingston location Monday morning. We went over all the costs and details. For a one day 4 hour wake and a meet at the cemetery funeral it was over $9000 without including casket, vault, or anything like that. When we were there Monday morning Bill said my MIL was already embalmed. We had the services on Saturday so 6 days from the date she passed. On the morning of the wake Bill calls me and tells me that my MIL does not look good and she has significant blisters on her face and we should do a closed casket (not my MIL wishes)! Now an embalmed body properly done should not show signs of blistering by day 6. Bill stated he would talk to the owner about getting the embalming fee reimbursed. So the following Tuesday I sent an email to the owners and never got a response. I waited a week and contacted Bill. He stated that the office would give me a call. 5 more days go by with no call. Finally I threaten them with contacting the state and after 2 more phone calls to the answering service someone calls me back and states a refund will be going out in the mail. A whole $690 back from over $9000 given to them for this egregious mishap. $90 of that was because we paid for a hair stylist to come in and do her hair. Also the day of the wake the doorman kept asking the 18-22 year old females "what's the password" before he would open the door for them. Like way to be creepy! Needless to say, we got some money back for their mistake but it doesn't negate the fact that family feels like they never had a real chance to say goodbye. Also never a response from ownership of the funeral home or an apology in any way! I would stay far away from this place!

Our local one came in with the cheapest cremation costs. A friend recommended Casper and it was almost half the cost from what our family funeral home quoted us. That was with a discount as well! I called Casper about 2 months beforehand and they were very detailed and provided all the info that was needed. I had multiple phone calls with them and they were able to assist me even though I was in California. I mostly spoke with Jake and Colton during this process. When I arrived Saturday was the only day I could go down and we had a snowstorm the day prior. Roads were pretty bad and they were able to accommodate me even though they had a service going on. Parking can be a nightmare there, I parked a few blocks away near a barber shop. I would recommend this place to everyone!! I was truly blown away by their service and empathy.

It was over a year ago, and I still haven't gotten that call. My miss kitty passed sometime through the night into Saturday morning. I called again after o saw on their website to call for weekend hours, and a review said they opened up on a weekend for their kitty. I got the return call, and was told they don't open on weekends. I told Kimberly I saw on website that they have weekend hours plus a review said they opened for them on a weekend. She was surprised! Asked who it was, I said someone in Touissett and she said, "oooh Touissett", like they are better than anyone else. I will not be doing business with them ever again. Less than one star!

Our family has used them for several family members & we have already prepaid our arranges for someday. Anyway, I called on a Sunday afternoon & left message with answering service, & told Kim would return my call shortly. Within 20 minutes, Kim was on the phone with me making an appointment to meet with us to receive Aaron's remains.. I let Kim know the service we chose. I believe Jenn met my husband the next morning to take custody of Aaron. They let us know his ashes would be spread on a farm with a lake not far away. It hurts to let him go, but this time comes in all lives. Definitely recommend Faithful Friends to everyone who wants to respectfully cremate their close friend. His paws have marked my heart forever.
