I am so disgusted and upset with Strong and Jones, the reason is my sister in February 2026 we went…read morethere because we went with other family funeral so I carried my sister there for cremation and that where it all when down so unprofessional don't care about the family or loved ones. I have made calls and was promise call back from everyone on staff no one cared enough for me to call me back tell me when my sister will be cremated or any updates. I went in April 1, paid for everything no balance was left I was told that day she will be going to be cremated that day or next, so why did Tommy (Thomas) call me April 29, telling me she have not been cremated as of yet because of documents was not complete but we went over everything so my sister have been on ice no calls until you notice she still there, I have been calling asking have she been cremated since April it took a month for ya'll notice a mistake. All there want is money, don't care about the living or the death. After weeks waiting for someone to call me I call on May 5, asking have she been cremated put me hold and said yes she ready so when was they going to call me and let me know I could come and get the ashes(never). So when I got there I was not happy. While waiting in the lobby its how caring they are and I was thinking they took that off of someone else site because Strong and Jones don't care, will not return phone calls it is so sad the way I was treated so I cannot tell any one to go to Strong and Jones. I know Mrs. Griffin will be so upset in the way her business is now so sad. The worst experience ever stay away.

I'm not sure if Mr.Patterson regularly holds families loved ones remains hostage, what he has planned for my mothers ashes, and or why he told me that my family would pay a certain amount and that Strong & Jones would cover the remaining balance and now we're supposed to pull $1400 out of thin air when we thought it was covered... but you will not hear the end of me or my sister's until we've received my mothers ashes.

It was one debacle after another but the worst is that they misspelled my mother's last name and sent it off to social security. It took us weeks to unravel this and I never did receive death certificates from the funeral home but had to order them through the state. You cannot do anything without the death certificates and it took me almost 2 months to get them. Do not use either of these companies!

After contacting a few different pest control companies I found Capital City. I like that Travis, the owner called me and said he'd be doing the initial appointment, himself. I had read the information he wrote about his business and why he started it on Yelp and in dealing with him personally I found things to be as he described them. He was personable and took the time to explain about the type of insects in our area and what's involved in keeping them away. I believe Capital City's prices are fair. You don't have to pay for corporate overhead, so you catch a break that way but they aren't low-ball where you know thr pest control person can only spend 5 minutes with you because they have so see tons of people to make a living.

There's a small unmarked break in the security fence and a small peninsula of unsecured land near the end of TLH Runway 27. Yes, the cemetery is open to the public and it's an active cemetery. I noticed a number of very recent headstones and yes, a few older ones. The Reverend L.D. Elliott is laid to rest here and he passed in 1922. The "restricted area" signs are to keep people from going onto the airport property. You can absolutely visit the cemetery. Just please be respectful. Adderly passed away back in 1975 and is best remembered as a jazz saxophone player. He was most famous during the 1950's and 1960's. Overall, I am better for my time here and paying my respects to this musician.

The cemetery is so close to capacity that there is discussion of buying back unused plots https://www.tallahassee.com/story/news/local/2020/05/14/city-tallahassee-buy-back-grave-sites-its-burial-plots-dwindle/5189273002/ and acquiring an adjacent lot to expand the property. Very little information on this cemetery. Two famous musicians are laid to rest here - Julian "Cannonball" Adderly and his younger brother, Nathaniel "Nat" Adderly. It is in good condition with well-paved lanes and clipped grass. There do not seem to be any limits on headstone sizes or flowers as the cemetery is quite busy with them.
