They only gave us 3 towels when we had a family of 6 and we had to call for more and they gave it to us. The amenities WAS HORRIBLE, first of all there is no soap in the bathroom, second of all the shampoo conditioner was watered down and i went to the pool and when i used it my hair felt so bad so i had to go to walmart and buy some GOOD hair products. The place doesn't have a dishwasher which was fine i guess. Maybe go here if you looking for an adventurous spending some more money than i need to and pretty cool things.

Nasty carpet, wreaked of cigarette smoke, damaged furniture, what looked to be puke on the bedding, mold on the walls, ceiling and shower curtain. Went straight back downstairs and let them know this room is not acceptable. Thankfully, the front desk attendant was great. He explained to us that all units are privately owned, and some are updated and some are not. He helped get us into another room and even upgraded to a suite at no extra charge. This unit was on the 18th floor and much better. View was great and could hear the nightly bands from out balcony. With that being said I still will not book here again because I don't want to take any chances of being put in a unit that has not been updated or have to go through the stress or hassle again. You would think the resort itself would require the owners of rental units to make periodic upgrades and keep up with regular maintenance.

They also have charcoal grills that we used twice during our week long stay. The property has 2 and 3 bedroom condos. We stayed in a 2 bedroom one. Check in was easy as they use a key pad with a passcode to check into your room. I will say though that the key pad lock was VERY tricky to open and probably needs to be switched out. I booked directly with Anchorage online but I've seen other owners put their condos on airbnb. The pictures online for the condo I booked had a major filter on it because in real person it looked really outdated. Also when I walked in it smelled like old. I don't really know how to explain it but like maybe as if nobody had opened the door in a while to let fresh air in. It had a beachy vibe and decor which I like in vacation rentals however as stated before the decor was outdated. It also felt like a lot of clutter. There was something on every wall and in every corner, it was just overkill in my opinion. My room also had terrible lighting. It was full of lamps however they didn't do much. It wasn't very well lit inside unless I opened the screen door. Not all the condos at Anchorage ll are the same though. Some are a lot nicer but I guess that just depends on the owners. My friend stayed right next to mines but you could tell there were a lot of updates made to that one and was just better maintained. Overall I enjoyed my stay but next time I will definitely book another room

We just returned from our yearly trip to Myrtle Beach. We always stay here. We were a little…read moredisappointed this year.We were in villa 3. Side view and very small 2 bedroom. There were 5 of us. When we got to our room there were 2 ladies still fixing it up. There were roaches in the kitchen that grossed us out. They were little but, no excuse. The air conditioner wasn't hitting the master bedroom very well. Also, the room gets very bright when the sun comes up. The gym is still lame and borderline liability. We usually stay in the towers, which we requested. The pond in front of our room didn't work the entire time. There was garbage floating in it. Not appealing at all. We asked the lifeguards a few questions about renting chairs etc. They were very rude. I m not sure who hired them. Just be kind. We are on vacation. This is the first disappointed trip here that we have had. Is the place going downhill? Feeling very unfulfilled. :(

It's at the beach with high volume, younger guests that probably make room upkeep hard to do. Our room was spacious, clean, had a washer and dryer, kitchenette and a great view. The down side was no room service, a icky looking restaurant and a terrible parking garage. Parking was an extreme sport, tight spaces and bling corners. We will be making this place our go to hotel for Myrtle Beach.

Clientele, is off course are those budget friendly and you won't spot any bankers or managements personnel here. However, the biggest issue here which drives the rating is security, it's seems anyone from the street can just enter the hotel and go to any floors. Additionally this neighborhood is not the best. For that, I think should be a serious consideration for anyone thinking of staying here and keeping it rated any higher.

Upon entering the room, it did not appear to be properly cleaned. The carpet was old, worn, and dingy, giving the entire room a dated and neglected appearance. The furnishings and technology were equally outdated. The air conditioning unit looked more like something you would find in a roadside motel than in a resort hotel, and I was surprised to find a DVD player in the room in 2026. Even the lamps and other room amenities felt old and overdue for replacement. Basic hospitality touches were missing as well. There was no complimentary bottled water provided in the room, and room service was poor. Despite arriving with two large suitcases, no bellhop assistance was offered. What was most disappointing was the customer service. When I approached the front desk with concerns about my room, Andy showed little interest in understanding the issues I was experiencing. Rather than listening to my concerns or attempting to find a solution, he immediately stated that there were no other rooms available without making any apparent effort to check for alternatives. I left feeling dismissed rather than valued as a guest. Overall, this property appears outdated, poorly maintained, and lacking in customer service. Based on my experience, I would not stay here again and would not recommend Island Vista to others visiting Myrtle Beach. This version reads like a credible review that will carry more weight with management and future travelers.

Very nice layout out plenty of chair and areas to sit and lay around the 2 outdoor pools. The indoor pool and lazy river were great!. Two working hot tubs one inside and one outside, the beach was amazing, very clean! The restaurant and bar area were great, outdoor Tiki bar with live music during the day from 1 to 5 and again from 530-830 at night. Steven the manager at the front desk was very helpful when we needed to change the reservation around. All of the staff are amazing! Friendly people. Oh and yes secure parking in their 2 garages and they have security on premises 24/7. The rooms were spotless the hallways and lobby area were clean along with the bathrooms in the common areas! Will definitely be back!
