DO NOT waste your time going here if you have a large party. The staff is rude and very rigid with their check policy (can't have separate checks with over 14 people). The service is slow and they seem to not know how to manage a restaurant by the unorganized manner they operate. I could chalk it up to being busy, but they had numerous tables available. The owner did not seem interested in our business as she was somewhat rude as well. The place needs a bar/restaurant rescue. I coach baseball teams and come to the area a few times per summer and I will not be coming back to this restaurant. It is a shame, being that it has a nice atmosphere. read more

Maybe I'm spoiled living in southern California, so this review is based on local conditions in a small town in Pennsylvania. Had the snapper special. The fish was delicious and perfectly cooked. The haricot verts was done just right, cooked perfectly, garlicky and seasoned exactly right. The rice was a little over but not enough to complain to the server. Still tasted good, and the portion sizes were good. Would have been happy with a little bit more of the green beans, but that's because they were so well done. The mixed green salad was ok, the vinaigrette was ok, but this was a very old school type of salad. Too many red onions. It was a little wilted. Need to update this dish. The oak vineyards Cabernet was meh. It was red table wine. Once again maybe my California coming through. Not terrible but it didn't say Cabernet to me. Tortilla wrapped cheesecake. What can I say. Never heard of such a thing. Imagine a piece of cheesecake stuffed inside a cinnamon churro, with a caramel dip sauce and some very good ice cream. This is good. Too much for one person after a meal. If you came just for this you could eat it all. It is delicious. If there are two people, this is a perfect dessert. Service was really good. Top notch for anywhere. Great place to eat if you're looking for a more upscale menu; however they do have simpler options on their bar menu as well. Drinks are always made well. The only issue is my boyfriend used to love the lobster penne, but when they changed the menu, they must have changed the recipe for it and it's not as good. We had a group of 10 persnickety eaters. Almost everything was perfect. I commend manager Steve, waitress Jenn ( who was FABULOUS) and all others who helped. Danielle (bartender) recommended Old Corner because new spring 2018 menu had just come out. All in all, we were very pleased . Drinks were good, food was very good and a nice selection of entrees. I had Caesar salad, so did the person next to me - we both felt needed more dressing - very dry. A friend had duck rare and she said it was greasy. I had lobster and penne which was perfect and piping hot, hubby had gnocchi, again, perfectly cooked. Several got scallops - they said perfect. Had a nice dinner here. When we walked in we walked into the bar side. It was busy with a good amount of people. The hostess asked which side we wanted to sit at. We sat on the casual side which was very nice and clean. The decor is decorated with past history type of items. The floor reminded me of home in what used to be used in the 70's. The only thing that I had a hard time getting used to was the loudness in the restaurant. But you can't do anything with that. We ordered the lobster dip with triangle pita bread. Then we ordered the lobster penne and the filet mignon with Gouda mashed potatoes and balsamic dressing and then the hamburger which smelled really great but will have later on. Then we ordered the cheesecake wrapped in a tortilla and deep fried. I have to say our meal was delicious!!! The cheesecake is ok not as great as I thought. It was tasty but next time I will skip it. Seasonal specials with a chef that actually puts thought and craft into the food and its presentation. This is rare to find in Williamsport as no more than a handful of restaurants actually hire chefs, and not "cooks" from one establishment to the next. You can tell the chef sources his ingredients locally and treats them with respect. While the pricing might be a bit high the food is well worth it, as well as the staff and the dining room area which is well maintained. Dining at the Old Corner is more than just plopping down and expecting hot food. Its an experience and something I hope the owner and kitchen staff maintain and continue to improve upon. read more

Definitely seemed to be a very local bar. Around 11 on a thursday had a pretty good crowd, mostly in 21 - 30 age range , people who acted like they went to high school together and were not too curious about meeting new people. This is your classic bar. I travel to Williamsport for a week every other month. My experience is the local crowd knows each other. A strong sense of community. As an outsider, it can be a awkward moment. However, the later it gets the crowd tends to open up more. I have heard many stories of people getting food poisoning here. You won't see many of the guys at the bar eating. The beer selection in decent. The bar tenders and staff are excellent. They won't let you leave thirsty. read more

I got into town late and was looking for bar food. OCH was just the ticket and a short walk from my hotel. I had the cheese steak which was excellent although not a classic Philly which is great because there are many ways to make an excellent cheese steal sandwich. I will say the roll was great - didn't fall apart but was soft with a nice thin crust. Locals seem to frequent the joint for food and drink which is always a good sign. While traveling for business I asked a coworker who was familiar with Williamsport where the best steakhouse was. He immediately said The Corner. I had the Filet and it was incredible. The whipped potatoes and grilled asparagus complimented the steak wonderfully. The atmosphere was very cozy and laid back. We are in the bar area. Fantastic steak! We go there every time we are in Williamsport. They also have a goo selection of bourbon.

This was a sweet little place. There was a bar/lounge with a jukebox and a patio (weather allowing) and a more formal dining room. My hubs and I had the steak salad and it was quite good. There is a very large price difference between Yeungling draft ($2.75) and a craft beer ($6) but other than that the prices were average (not expensive).
