Our family has been going for many years. Once Dr Horne started his concierge medicine, I felt like the services were not as good. I usually feel like I'm a bother to staff. I will say that Patricia Leighton is wonderful. She is usually available for an appointment, which I appreciate, and I never feel like she's in a rush when she's talking to me and answering my incessant questions. I will also add that they don't give you a bill. They use a billing service and that makes paying a bill more complicated. Why can't I at least have a copy of the services rendered? read more

Our family's experience here has been great. The NP Patricia Leighton truly listens to patients to understand all issues and does not rush us. Although the front desk always seems to be overwhelmed with calls, Yolanda juggles it well and has always followed up to help us with appointments, referrals, and billing questions. My mother likes the feeling of an old-school medical practice based on talking to patients instead of rushing people in and out or making them come for multiple visits just to charge more. Beware, all in need of medical help. Let me start by saying that the low rating above is NOT for the doctor, but for the front desk staff. Never have I encountered such rude, apathetic, and lazy people as these. Their entire goal seems to do as little as possible, and upset anyone who should dare to call their office. They WILL put you on hold when you call, sometimes multiple times before hanging up on you. Should you need a prescription, they may outright refuse to help you themselves. Heaven forbid it may be urgent! The doctor I see at this office is good at his job, and my experience with him has been entirely positive. It's just not worth climbing the wall that is his front room staff to actually GET to him, or his services. Don't say that I didn't warn you. read more

I went here as a child and now I am turning 40 and live back in the area and have the pleasure of coming to this business for any of my health needs or concerns. I love the staff, they treat you like family. I go to Dr Horne and am so glad he is still practicing medicine. I truly know they care about me and my health here. It's hard to find a doctor that makes you feel like you matter. Usually it seems they only go through the motion of looking like they are listening and nod their head and push you along with not much explanation. Dr. Horne listens to everything you say and offers professional advice and obviously has a passion for his job because he could be retired and is going strong. I'm so blessed this place still exists and have been happy with their all of the employees. They do get busy which is a good sign. I ended up walking out of this place before I even saw the doctor. The receptionist was rude and abrupt. When I was unable to find the location she was unhelpful. Upon arriving they said they would not see me because I was not early to the appt! read more

Dr. Cuttica is a friendly doctor- when you see her on a good day. I had a great experience with her the first couple times we met; however, the last time we met was much different. The care during the visit was fine but I was given less than five minutes of her time and was purchased out the door because I was "fit-in" to her schedule. I was told that multiple appointments were available when I called that morning?? This could be the front desk ladies error...? Regardless, this should be addressed. I would rather come back another day when the doctor has more time to see me. read more

Dr. Horne is an excellent doctor, I've been seeing him for many years now. If I'm ever sick and need a quick appointment, they've always been able to fit me in (same day) with one of the Nurse Practitioners. After moving here and needing a PCP I tried 3 others with varying issues before I even made an appt. 1:they didn't need my previous records, 2: moved my appt without telling me, 3rd wanted to charge me two visits if I saw a dr and a nurse prac on the same day. So I set up an appt with Dr Horne here. Pleasant discussion concerning the book I was reading, where I moved from, and where to go on my future trip to Italy, I informed him that I have a heart thing just so he knows and he will see it in my records when he requests them. You can imaging my surprise when I got billed 200.00. When I called to discuss changing it, I was given the run around for over a month by billing, spoke with the office mgr who said I should have kept him on track. Sorry...but 200 to be set up as a new patient when LITERALLY nothing happened but a stethoscope and blood pressure? Thanks but NO THANKS! read more

I read all of the reviews post and I noticed most of the negative reviews were post several years back. I do not understand the issues those people had. I have been with this family practice for going on 40 years and have never had an issue with them. I have found all the doctors, nurse practitioners, and front desk staff to be excellent. Unless there is a crises/emergency, I am seen on time by the Doctor (Horne - yes, he does see patients in the office) or the NPs. They have always explained every thing in terms that I can understand, which I find very helpful. Dr Horne has always been an old fashion down home type of Doctor and over the years has brought in other doctors, NPs, and office staff who have the same work ethics. An example of that would be Sara Wassel who I believe is the newest NP. read more

This doctor's office is horrible.. I have been seen there for over 10 years and they do not follow up with their patients and honestly I do not even think these "doctors" care about their clients. The Staff is RUDE and not professional at all. I have seen them pick up the office phones and place people on hold for NO reason, tell me.. Is that what you should do when these patients are in pain, trying to get better, receive advice from their doctor? I think not. I have worked in the healthcare field for a long time.. This place is terrible. They have no concept of customer service. I waited over 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment time for the NP to see me. When she finally showed up, she could sense I was irritated and asked me, "is there a problem?" I said "well since you asked, my appointment was at 11am, and it's now 11:42am." She glared at me and said, "welcome to primary care." I asked what that was supposed to mean, and she again repeated "welcome to primary care." At that point, seeing that there was was no getting through to this person, I thought to myself "thank God she doesn't work for the Fire Department" and resigned myself to getting through the unpleasantness of dealing with her poor attitude while resolving to never set foot in this awful place again. read more

This medical practice is horrible. All members of the staff from the receptionist to the doctors are rude. Customer service and providing competent care is severely lacking. After attempting to have documents sent this office and they repeatedly getting lost I was very upset. When the doctor came in and asked if there was a problem - I stated that there was. She proceeded to slam my examination door while I was speaking - and then re-entered the room several minutes later and stated they were refusing to treat me because I was rude and "had turned the office upside down from the moment I walked in and was rude to all personnel". I never spoke to the rude receptionist (while in the office - all dealings were over the phone) and only really spoke to the nurse. I will be leaving this practice - and all friends and family are also leaving. read more

I've always had a good experience here. Yeah, sometimes you have to wait a while--especially if you are sick, and called the morning of to get an appointment--but they take my insurance and always give me good care. read more

Dr. Horne is great, a wonderful doctor and a good person. If you can get in to see HIM, be assured that you will get great care and advice. But, since Dr. Horne started his Medical Concierge service, where you pay about $1000/yr or more, and you have better access to him, he is very difficult for non concierge patients to see. This leaves the rest of us with his nurse practicioner. RUN in the other direction. I went there on Tuesday with a staph infection on both my ankles. There were open sores, and I clearly needed antibiotics. This came out of nowhere, at first I thought they were bug bites but I never scratched them and they kept getting bigger and worse. The NP took a look, said "we better culture that", and even said it was either staph or strep. I left there with a prescription for an antibiotic cream, and was told to wait until Thursday for lab results (after she thrust a cotton swab into the open wound). On Thursday, I could barely walk, the pain was so bad. That woman is INEPT and negligent. She basically hung up on me on the phone, saying "I have other patients to attend to, you better go to the ER or Urgent Care"....!!!! I asked her how she could let someone with this serious infection leave the office two days before with NO oral antibiotic. The infection is on the inside!! That's when she hung up on me. On a positive note, I went to Old Dominion Urgent Care, near Chesterbrook Shopping Center, and had a fantastic experience. Dr. Reza was quick, efficient, and took one look and said, yes, let me give you an antibiotic pill and a new cream (antibiotic as well). There was no wait. He told me how to care for the wounds and asked me to come back next week. Two totally different experiences!! I still have to get this infection healed, but I feel that I have the right doctorand the right meds now. When you are this ill, you don't want the run around, or to deal with someone who doesn't know what they are doing. I have, on two previous occasions, had this same NP and been dissatisfied with the experience, but this time, I am leaving the practice. My health and well being are more important and better care is out there. This practice was great in the old days, but with the doctor seeing his Concierge level patients, you will be stuck with the NP. I would rather pass entirely. Dr. Horne is amazing and the Nurse Practitioner is also unbelievably kind and considerate. Astonished about how many poor reviews there are and primarily the front desk staff which unfortunately seems to be prevalent in most Dr offices these days. Wonderful group of medical professionals..right in our backyard so very convenient, too! read more
