this place was nice. It's a little cluttered, but has almost everything which I'm looking for. I will say the prices here were better than some other places less than a few miles down the road. The service was good wasn't great. No one asked if I needed help finding anything, and I don't believe they welcomed me into the store. pretty nice sized package store right outside one of the gates near Ft. Dietrick. Mom sent me to find her something called a Coors Silver Bullet, and when I asked the guy if they had it, it just directed me to the Coors single cans section. I was expecting the can to say Silver Bullet, and it didn't so I wish he would have taken a moment to explain to me that I was purchasing the correct item. But nevertheless, I paid and got out quickly. Pricing seems comparable with what I pay in Atlanta, but i think liquor prices are sorta regulated so I didn't expect to pay much more. Very happy to find some different flavors of Hard Mike Lemonades that I hadn't seen in Atlanta, so overall a successful package store run . read more

I've looking for Mamamango Moscato + Mango and the only place I knew to get it is a beer and wine place in Flower Hill (Gaithersburg). Had no idea it was so rare. I tried calling a couple different beer and wine places near me in WV and near my work in NoVA with no luck. I tried emailing Old Farm Liquors and I received a response in under 10 minutes saying they carry this wine. I called them to check again today before I drove all the way out there, and the employee confirmed that they carry this wine. He said there were 10 bottles out and 2 more in the cooler. He said if I bought a case, he'd give new 20% discount on each bottle. I told him I'd decide when I got there. When I walked in, the store was well organized and I found the wine I needed quickly. The employee at the register was friendly. I bought 5 bottles of the wine and she gave me a discount without me even asking for one ($10 off my total). The employees I dealt with via email, phone, and at the register made this quick and easy for me to get this hard-to-find wine. Great customer service! read more

Despite living in Frederick for a number of years, I never explored this store until about a year ago, when I was looking for a wine which had been recommended by a review in the Washington Post. I'm glad I checked it out, because Old Farm Liquors has become our favorite liquor store in Frederick. They have an excellent wine and beer selection and stock many hard to find types of alcohol. They often have good sales and offer coupons on their web site. They even carry your purchases to your car. read more

The name of this place doesn't sound right as they don't serve food and they don't have a deli. But they sure do offer a very good variety of local and national micro brewed beers and tasty imports at reasonable prices. Sure, the place up on 7th street may offer more choices, but why drive the distance when there are plenty of tasty brews to choose from right here in my hood? A solid selection of liquor and wine is offered as well, including a few of our favorite fruit wines from nearby Linganore Cellars. read more

I was looking for Ice Wine, and called around town. Old Farm's price was about half the price of the only other shop that had it. I walked in and was immediately blown away. Their selection is incredible, and their prices are quite reasonable. The owner gave me discounts that I didn't even know were offered, and then they carried my order out to my car for me. They have many cool imported beers available in single (larger) bottles so you can try things that you normally have to get in a specialized bar - for about 1/3 the cost! This is now my favorite liquor store in Frederick, even though I live WAY across town. I have to drive about 10 miles to get here, and pass at least 20 other stores on my way! Old Farm has a good selection of unique beers and they offer a 10% discount if you buy four or more big bottles. We've found that the prices are really good compared to other liquor stores in Frederick. I also like that they have a large selection of generic alcohol brands, so I can get some cheap flavored vodka, schnapps and coconut rum. read more

Excellent selection. Staff is always friendly. Surprisingly reasonable prices too. They even have shopping carts. Lol.

The employees all know the product and are willing to make recommendations based off your tastes. They have a lot of locally brewed beer and are the only place I can get some of my favorites. I would highly recommend this place. read more
