Not only did he catch it but he cut it up for us to take home! Now that's work.

My first fishing excursion with the fellas. Unforgettable!! So much fun. Shout out to the deckhands. They worked hard and the captain even got down and showed us a thing or two. My homie even caught a big tuna and a dorado in my face. Such an amazing experience simply watching the sunrise and fall while on the water. I'm just happy I didn't get tossed overbo

Just came back from an overnight on the Old Glory and I think it was one of my best fishing experiences in years. The crew is fantastic and really helps everyone get fish. The Captain, Clay is really amazing at putting you on fish. The boat got limits of bluefin and then we targeted and caught several yellowtails and even some yellowfin tuna. Could not say enough good things about fishing on the Old Glory

Fantastic time and fishing! Special thanks to the Captain Kley for all the help and good adventure. We will be back next summer!

The best fishing experience I have ever had. The whole boat limited out on blue fin and yellow tail. The crew worked their a** off the moment we stepped on the boat. Even if the trip wasn't as good as it was, I would be content with the work ethic they hold!! Definitely going to to plan more trips in the future once my freezer gets low!!

We had the best trip out on the Old Glory! The fishing was amazing, Dorado everywhere! But even better, the chef on board, Marcos, was phenomenal!!! We had the best boat burger and breakfast burrito ever! We've been out on the Old Glory many times and we're always impressed. I highly recommend!

I can never get this kind of peace as I do at a sunrise on the ocean.

Love the boat and the crew! I always get my limits on this boat thanks to Caotain Kley who will find you schools. The crew members are all very helpful!

Had a killer time on old glory. Went with 14 of my buddies for the over night trip and we caught 32 fish. The captain and all the deck hands were great. Super helpful and friendly. Had such a great time we're going back next month.

    Pre kill.

Hello everyone. I am here to tell you that Old Glory is hands down the best fishing charter in San Diego, California! I have fished on private and charter boats all over the globe, and I am beyond impressed with the boat, the staff, the fishing, the chef, the tech used and every other aspect of fishing with the Old Glory captain and crew. First off, my buddy and I went during a time of year when the fishing is slowing down. The captain of Old Glory had a wonderful piece of tech that he used to keep his patrons on fish day after day, until the fish had left the area due to water temperature and movement. He had a GPS device on a paddy in which was very productive for the season, and simply returned to his GPS device to catch fish. This was a day and a half trip, so we slept on the way out. The sleeping quarters were clean and easy to rest in as the boat rocked us steadily to sleep on our way out to the spot. Once near the paddy, I awoke to the bustling of the crew readying rods, reels and lines for all the patrons who did not bring their own tackle. They also were kind enough to set up the folks that had their own gear, so that they would catch fish (some people were overly prepared for marlin in winter and their line set ups had to be stepped down to catch yellowtail, tuna and dorado.) There was a couple on their honeymoon, I was on my birthday trip for the big 40, and there were several other guests with special reasons for being there. This trip was in late October, 2018 by the way. I went on deck, was one of the first to grab a set up and a kind gentleman, who I later learned to be the captain of the boat, set up my reel's tension, and baited my hook. I threw it over the side and immediately was hit. After a quick fight I started to see the bright and beautiful color of the first and only Dorado of the day, and the second biggest catch of the day!! A deck hand quickly came with a gaff and pulled the Mahi on board effortlessly. What a great start to the day! After that it was a full day of Bloody Decks!! We had so many fish on the boat, at the end of the day, we could not even keep them all due to legal allowable limits, which is OK, because there were many, many fish caught. I had just about every crew member come over and help me bait and cast into where the fish were located, and as I could not see them until they were caught, I was thankful for the help. Every person on this boat was able to toss a line in the water, and immediately start fighting a fish on the other end of the line because the line drags were set perfectly on every single reel!! Even the chef came out and cast a few in, only to be immediately gobbled up by a hungry blue fin tuna, big eye tuna, yellow fin tuna or yellowtail! At the end of the day I caught 1 Dorado, 10 Bluefin tuna, 6 Yellow-fin tuna, and 4 Yellow Tail!!! I was covered from my belly button down in beautiful fish blood, and the day was marvelous!! The fish were gutted professionally and filleted to perfection. When I got home and grilled up some of the fish it was perfectly tender, un-bruised and without a single gaff hole in the steaks (mostly due to the amazing deck hands on the boat and their flawless gaffing skills)! The chef prepared fresh sashimi with some of the tuna and walked around offering it to all the patrons free of charge, and after all that adrenaline, I could not even sleep on the trip back home, during which, we were able to take some amazing pictures of all the beautiful and delicious death we had created during the day and a half of EPIC fishing!! I would like to say Thank you so much to the entire staff, captain and crew of the Old Glory. I will surely be back soon to kill fish with, hands down, the best and brightest San Diego Sport Fishing has to offer on the decks of the Old Glory! You guys are the best!! If you are looking for a boat to lead you to the fish, this is the one. I have fished most of the charters in San Diego, and have never been impressed enough to leave a review. I don't know if that means much, but it should because these guys are amazing!! M

Great boat! Bunks are comfy. Skipper clay made sure everyone caught fish and had a good time. I will definitely be on this boat again.

The birds can be a bit annoying, but guess that comes with the great outdoors. Definitely a nice spot to chill, take a walk and get those steps in. This area feels safe and well maintained. When I went, there weren't too many people, so it was pretty peaceful. The trail can get busy and there are bathrooms along the way (I didn't use them though) There's plenty of parking here, but just be sure you leave on time for closing. I've heard they lock up and it can be an issue with getting out. (not sure how true this is but I won't chance it) There is more parking elsewhere with trail access too, I just personally haven't found it.

After entering the main entrance, follow the road and turn right where you will see a yellow locked gate. This is the beginning of the paved walking trail. There's plenty of parking at the main entrance, and the paved trail is perfect for walkers, runners, bikers, and even kids tagging along. It's basically a choose-your-own-adventure: bird watching, fishing (permit required), or just a casual picnic. Bonus perks: lots of porta potties and benches when you need a breather. If you're holding out for a real restroom, there's one just past the second baseball field--plan accordingly. Photo is attached to show where to locate this. Heads up: the main gate is closed every 2nd Tuesday of the month, but don't panic--you can still access the trail through the neighborhood entrance off Baltimore Drive. Hope you enjoy this walking trail as much as I do.

Good service from the landing, easy check in and since my annual Mexican fishing license had expired the H&M tackle shop was able to renew my annual Mexican fishing license on the spot. Trip price was great, $705 including meals for a 2 day trip. Even better was that I had some gift certificates that H&M offers each year before the holidays that give you $100 value for $80. So I used 2 gift certificates and brought my trip price down to $505 out of pocket. I'll fish out of H&M landing again in the future.

For example my rod tip eyelet came off after I boarded a multi day trip on the Relentless. This was going to be my main rod for the trip. I took it up to the tackle shop and pleaded for help. It was 15 minutes before closing. This young punk said he was the manager and told me they would not do it. The incredible Danny Wade fixed it for me anyway. Down on the boat some guy came running down, all in a panic, saying the manager was demanding $7.83 for the repair. I gave him $50 and told him to give the change to Danny Wade. I killed it that trip with that setup. When I got back in, I asked Danny if he got the change money. He did not. Grrr!
