Liam and Kate were so helpful and went above and beyond at my visit yesterday. They gave me a time frame of when I would be called via the intercom. The selection of books, CDs, DVDs, video games, and other exciting things were all presented with visual aesthetics. The rest of the staff assisted me with where the restroom was at and another person helped me out with where to go by directing me to the way to get there. Liam again helped me out with my books I placed on to the push carts. Kate was there to help me out at the cash register after I found a few books I have been looking for at other book stores and online. I would like to highly suggest any book readers or book worms, any other physical media, or nostalgic items to come to this store and support a great collection of not only books, but a very professional team and staff at this particular store location. I understand stores gotta make money. Most items were close to retail. However, somethings I did like. Their graphic novels I felt were priced faire. Their dvds and blurays were priced fare. I would comeback again. While I had some minor issues on certain prices, I am glad to see more brick and mortar based stores still exist, Stop shopping on amazon and support real businesses'.

Then check out the Friends of the Library Bookstore. It's located inside the Folsom Public Library building. They sell all sorts of categories. Children, cookbooks, young adults, sci fi, mystery, and nonfiction. Plus CD, DVDs, and audio books. Prices range from free ( aha... giving it away with nothing asked in return kind of free), a quarter to $3. When they have the monthly pop up sales, recently decommissioned library books are 10 for $1. Yes... I did a double take too. 10 books for $1!! The proceeds goes back into the library programs. Bookworm has plenty of authors for every subject. The genres range from sci fi to legal aid to romance to just about anything. I went to purposefully look for parts of series that I was missing. I totally found what I needed at a good price. The used books range in quality from rough to new-ish. The ages also range from '70s to this year. The staff was super nice! They helped me find things and told me about the store. I loved the packed feel. It made me feel like I was in an overgrown library. The books like plants slowly taking over the store. I'll definitely be back. They even had books in the hallways. It was easy and fun to browse the shelves and the titles weren't too esoteric, not just hard back Shakespeare but plenty of beach reads and quality adventure novels to sink my mind into. They always have present employees that are so kind and helpful. When you ask for a book not only do they show you where its at the make sure you are getting the exact book you asks for. At the registers they make sure you know about any and all promotions they have going just in case you wanted to jump in on any. Did you know that Barnes & Noble has so many games and puzzles and other fun gadgets? I for one didn't as I walked throughout the store I was blow away by see all this new stuff to me. If you are into coffee stop by Starbucks and read a book and enjoy your drink. Well next time here take a walk around the store and see all they have to offer. Where my mom lives they don't have a similar bookstore near her so this was a treat for her. They had a lot of items on clearance and good stuff too. Books, photo albums, games, ect. A new item I've never seen before was Old Testaments with journal aspects included in each page. The book is extra large and they have margins with blank lines in it for journaling. They also have all sorts of styles. The one that caught my attention was the one with flowers on the front. I think this is a great invention for someone who love studying the Old Testament and wants to take notes so they can refer back to them. I believe they have this for the New Testament too. They also had a great assortment of men's ties and socks. That was a new addition to a book store. They had beautiful white handkerchiefs with the Temple Embroidered on it in white. They also carry drinks and snacks, that's a new addition. And I was surprised to see food in a bookstore. They also carry games for all ages. This is a really nice bookstore and it is a one shop stop for you Church needs.
