I live in CT and can't say this was a bad experience as others have. The response time from sales and my quotations being answered was great. I got to custom pick a layout and colors for a price that would've gotten me half the size at other stores. I was quoted 4 to 6 weeks and it took about 8. First, the good. The distributor, Patriot Structures in Lebanon, TN, was great. Jessica got us just what we were looking for at a reasonable price. When there were service issues (and there were) she intervened. And when there were more issues, she continued to push Old Hickory to get them straightened out. My actual dealings with OHB ranged from poor to unbelievably poor. There were some issues with the construction of the shed that needed corrected. I submitted a claim within 2 days of delivery with pictures. No response. I reached out to OHB by phone. No response. I reached out again. They finally got back to me. They assigned the delivery company to come out and do the repairs. The problems were not done on delivery and they should not have been assigned to the delivery company. They then assigned the right people. It took about 6 weeks, but someone finally came out to fix the shed. I could not tell you how many times I tried to reach them and failed. Their communication was terrible. I finally received a call from Alan at OHB on July 25 saying they would be out on the 27th. I'm not sure his title, but he was supposedly in charge. He said he had just learned of the problems that afternoon. Funny, since the information I received said he had been copied on internal emails dating back to early July. I believe he had also received a message the day prior and a phone call that morning. The next time he accepts any responsibility for the matter will be the first time. The repairman was not shown the pictures of the problems and really didn't know what he was supposed to bring or be doing. If Jessica from Patriot Structures hadn't called him to make sure he brought the right materials for the job, he wouldn't have been able to complete the job. The shed - Ok. Not perfect, but not terrible. The customer service, including supposedly "management"? Awful. read more

Complete rip off. I was moving. I took a picture of current building that I loved. Went in and said I wanted the same thing for the new house. That I had to have some place to store my GOLF CART, mower etc. Lady was nice found me what I was looking for. Then issues w delivery. The building looked like it had been sitting in clay mud. I asked for it to be cleaned. I was told they have no water. I have asked multiple times for a receipt. No one will provide me w one. Now the major issue. The golf cart won't fit in doors. So I called back. Let me note i have a mini cricket golf cart. Not full size. I was told they sell them all the time and never had this issue. I call bull shit. I just bought a $5900 paid in cash brand new building and no one ever thought to tell me the doors wouldn't work. I don't know the buildings. I simply said what size length i wanted. So I just had a very interesting conversation with Customer Service. The person I spoke with had the most non-caring demeanor on the phone. She basically said Old Hickory could careless about it's customers and more about screwing them out of their money. I wanted to order a cabana without benches. Was told that they are standard and that I could have them not added. But I was still going to pay for them. So when you ask them about it, they have the I don't give a shit attitude of if you don't like it, don't buy it cause 99% of people just suck it up and will pay it. So us 1% can pretty much go to hell cause they don't need our business. One thing you will learn is that where I am from word spreads fast and us old time New Englanders don't just put up with that shit. We will go someplace else and we also make sure friends and family also go someplace else. The real sad part is the dealer, was amazing and after being a part of this is considering changing companies. My experience started off terrible. Nick the salesperson is hostile, angry and blamed me for a problem. When I demanded to speak to a manager Jacob called me and that's when this whole experience started off right. Jacob helped me get the shed I wanted and delivery time was accurate. David delivered my shed yesterday and I am impressed. He brought his two sons and they built it in 6 hours. It's perfect craftmanship and exactly what I wanted. Not very good service with Wesley I believe his name was in Redmond. He told me he would call me back regaurding prices and while I waited for several hours the shed I called him about they marked as sold because it was apparently listed too low. When I noticed the shed I said i would buy at that price listed was changed I called him back and he said that wasn't the price, but they did honor it still. After delivery, noticed skids are cracked and broken. Notified warranty link on their website three times and the dealer who sold it to me, but I never got a reply. They never fixed anything. Have had it several months now. Also, has crooked studs and window built out of square. Floor squeaks. Probably related to the broken skids. Delivery driver hit a tree with the top of the roof edge and mangled the edge during delivery. They said this was covered by their warranty, but they never fixed it. Structure quality is mediocre, but its a back yard shed meant to keep rain and snow of my garden tools, so not that big of a deal. Unfortunately their sales person out of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada (Ross Penner) has zero customer support or service. Was told it would be 3-4 weeks for delivery, and after repeated attempts to contact the salesman and delivery driver I finally get it after 9 weeks. Salesman intentionally screening and ignoring my calls, and then passes blame off on others for the lack of communication. Old Hickory Shed Delivery Fiasco Working with Tammy & Tom, the distributor for Old Hickory Sheds in Eynon was a pleasure. However once they sell you the shed the delivery turns over to Old Hickory. Our experience was terrible. We bought the shed "off the lot" on March 15. We live approx 8 miles away and it is supposed to be delivered on April 7!! The main issue we had was when we told the delivery company we were able to take the shed on March 24 no one contacted us. Then we hear the delivery company people were sick. Ordered a building to replace an storage shed in our yard which was destroyed by a falling tree. We customized one online, followed up by visiting a dealer to process to order (Holder Building and sheds; Broad Street in Murfreesboro, TN). Upon ordering we paid for the building and had several questions regarding delivery. We wanted this building to be in place of the old building and we were ensured this was no obstacle as they can maneuver the buildings in many ways, even in challenging environments. This was not the case. After waiting nearly 4 weeks for the building to be built, delivery day arrived and the driver was very unprofessional, condescending, and unable to complete the delivery. He stated the terrain was too "steep" and he was not able to maneuver the building to the poured concrete pad in our backyard. We had already demolished a section of our fence for this building, and we live in a large neighborhood. They terrain in our yard is not steep by any means. On the delivery day, the driver took the building back after making several negative comments to me. I reached out to Old Hickory buildings when the only solution they could offer me was to wait 5 days until the owner of my franchise was back in the office. After this wait, I was told the options were to have a "build on site" which would not be a building to the specs we are wanting (while still being charged more money), or refund completely. I shared pictures of the delivery site, and my insight from the delivery day. This information was also passed along to the Territory Manager, Allan; who was less than helpful or kind. I have never experienced such poor customer service from a business of this caliber. There, at any point, has not been any thought or consideration to find a viable solution which would satisfy our needs. I would not reccommend this business to anyone looking for customized solutions, looking to fill a space that is any further than a sidewalk from the road, or any resemblence of acceptable customer service. I will share my experience on every platform and can only hope my negative experience will raise awareness for Old Hickory Buildings to improve their internal processes and communications to their customers who allow the business to sustain. read more

The sales people were good. We bought 2 sheds from them and the first one we bought 3 years ago had a few issues but were addressed and fixed quickly. This last one we bought was supposed to be covered in metal siding and had 5 areas that were bad and had bare wood showing in 4 spots and day light coming through the tar paper on the roof. It took them a month to finally get out to fix these areas only after i had to call them 5 times. Even when they said they would get back to me on the phone they never returned my calls, i had to call and call to find out what was the hold up. There is no quality control checks what so ever before these sheds leave the shop any longer or else these issues would have been caught and fixed. I would not recommend buying a shed from this company and i sure will not be getting another one from them. read more

Response and follow through BAD I had a very small issue that was there when delivered, and it took 3 weeks of My persistence to get it taken care of. If you buy and pay for something from someone that person should take care of everything from start to finish. NO HELP at all and insisted on passing the buck, I finally spoke to Darlene in Bradyville and she was right on it. My seller should have said "Call Darlene", that would have saved me 3 weeks, although she should have called Darlene herself!! I love the shed but I would be afraid of referring someone without caution. I would search for the "builders" directly if I had it to do over. TOO many channels to go through if you have issues. I have been trying to get help replacing some trim board that was damaged on my shed for almost a year. Now they have told me I can get it at Lowes--which I know to be untrue. So after a year of them telling me that I can get replacement material through them--I have now been told to figure it out myself--very poor customer support. When I went in for the initial estimate, I was told that the extra cost for the onsite construction because I didn't have access for cranes and heavy equipment would be $400 and was included in the cost estimate. I was told that again during the meeting to finalize the purchase. I didn't learn until after I had signed on the dotted line and left, by email, hours later, that not only was the onsite construction cost actually almost $600, it also wasn't included in the contract cost. What I received clearly called it out as an an unincluded cost. I was misled there. The contract builders were very professional, and the shed is solid. However, I asked on multiple occasions during my meetings with the sales people whether the shed would have ventilation. I was told multiple times that it would in the upper part of the back wall of the shed, and yet after installation, it didn't. Finally, the trim on the upper portion of the doors in the invoice was far different than what I actually received. I have photos and diagrams from the sales contract to confirm.
