Hibachi Grill with chicken, steak, shrimp and very little soy sauce.

First time here. I ordered the Hibachi Grill with Beef, Chicken and Shrimp with very little soy sauce and no salt. The steak was prepared medium rare as requested and reasonably tender, everything was cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and still moist as we're the shrimp. The vegetable were also cooked perfectly and still retained a good color and firmness (I despise mushy grilled vegetables). Plus it was still very tasty without the extra sodium. My server was prompt and friendly. She helped me pick my meal based on my likes. Even the fried rice was good and was light colored due to the very little soy sauce as requested. It was an excellent dining experience and much appreciated!

Small town cafe with one friendly waitress. If you drive too fast you might miss it. The restaurant looks like an older house converted into a restaurant. All food we ordered (see pictures) was freshly cooked, tasty and came in large portions. Tea and soda comes with free refills.

All I can say is that this restaurant is THE BEST. Restaurants near and far could take lessons. If I could rate them 20 stars, I would.

I got a Ham, Egg and Cheese Croissant and my husband got an Egg Sandwich. Both breakfast sandwiches tasted great! We also both got coffees that hit the spot! We're pretty plain re: coffees. We get either black cold brews or black iced coffees. We're just looking for the extra caffeine which V6 nailed!! Service was great- the employee we interacted with was so kind and personable! The shop itself was too cute and loved the decor around! One of our fav parts?! There was a cafe cat that was way too sweet!

First off, the address directions via GPS were not correct, it's actually a block down from where GPS leads you... so, after circling around a couple of times, I finally found it. It was worth the effort... I had both the Mexican hot chocolate and the matcha. Very yummy, and just the energy I needed early in the morning for the drives to Big Bend NP and back to Amarillo, respectively. A friend got the yogurt and fruit and found it very filling with a side of breakfast potatoes. On both days I got a burrito. They added avocado and sour cream which gave just the right touch to an already delicious burrito. The staff was so friendly and answered questions about menu items and customizing options. The house kitty was also very friendly. The cafe is small, but there was no problem with seating early in the morning. The artwork on the walls is interesting and western in theme. Everything was warm, clean and inviting. This is definitely the place to stop when you're in the area.

Our waitress was friendly, took our order and brought our orange juices quickly. I ordered the Western omelette w/hash browns (potato chunks) & toast and my husband opted for the breakfast burrito and coconut cream pie for desert. My husband seemed to have enjoyed his breakfast more than I mine although he didn't like the pie. My toast was buttery and there was no jelly in sight or our waitress to ask. Also, no salt & pepper or condiments on any of the tables like other restaurants. Perhaps because it's a senior citizen complex they aren't allowed to spice things up. Guessing here, perhaps government subsidized (501C3) so they are able to offer price reduced meals. The place was clean, quiet, ample seating and a nice menu selection. However, it's just not my thing to dine in at a "nursing home environment". I'm happy to see Main Street Cafe is available for those who are wanting cheap meals.

A pleasant foodie surprise in San Angelo!…read more I had to come into San Angelo for work and going into the trip, I was not too excited about my food options available to me as a vegetarian...but I did find Buttercup online and it seemed close enough to those "hip, city coffee shops", meaning I should be able to get some decent food! Unfortunately, a lot of their hot sandwich options were off the table since they seemed to have a broken toaster, but I was able to order a hummus veggie sandwich that came with seasoned potato chips, a side salad, and a stick of chocolate. I also got a vanilla cake bite (pop without the stick) and everything was about $18 with tip. I didn't feel like trying any of the drinks, but some of the coffee flavors sounded interesting and they have seasonal flavors too. The ambiance is inviting, and definitely feels like a cozy place for the community to come hang. If you ever find yourself in this part of west Texas, definitely keep this spot in your back pocket for close to healthy eats!

The coffee options are plentiful and they do their own take on both custom and traditional coffee drinks. You will find all your caffeine needs here. They also have a good menu. There are a few good coffee options in San Angelo and if you are in Buttercup's part of town, this is your stop.
