When you arrive you call the front office and let them know - and they will call you back when it's time for you to come inside - this is great because you can wait in the comfort of your car and also reduce interactions with other animals. The prices are reasonable, and the care is top notch. We will be clients of Dr. Clark for life!

He also has a hard time with strangers, so we were resigned to think we would never get away from the house due to his issues. Once we were forced to look into dog-sitting for an event we were required to attend, we realized finding someone to look after him was imperative. After emailing back and forth with Crissy, we set up a time for them to meet at our house, to see how they got along. Carson was his typical shakey, barking self, but Crissy's easygoing nature made his nerves settle down and he eventually took to her quite enthusiastically. Crissy has dog-sat for us on multiple occasions, on day trips and weekend overnights, and every time we returned, we came back to a happy dog, and a safe house. I feel confident leaving our lil guy in her capable hands, and will continue to do so. I highly recommend her to anyone with pets, and especially people with pets who have special needs, are old or injured, or have issues that put them out of the possibility of putting their lil friend in a kennel. Prices are reasonable, with prices by the hour, or by event, such as a one hour visit being $28, or an overnight with a mid day walk being $68. Absolutely worth it, Crissy is talented and wonderful, and will remain with our family for as long as possible.

After some research I can across good friends vet clinic and saw all of the good reviews. They are all being modest. Sincerely the veterinarians here are all fantastic and great at what they do. My girl isn't the biggest fan of the techs, but if they give her a treatie they became fast friends. There is decent availability and good working hours for my schedule. I also like how they are open on Saturdays. After I few appointments and feeling like Moose was in good hands, I scheduled her spay to be here. I was SO nervous to drop her off, but everyone made me feel at ease. I got two follow up phone calls and a detailed care plan for her post op. I also did not have to keep here there overnight. There weren't any complications and she healed very nicely & quickly. As long as I live in the area we will be coming here.

Once in the room the tech greeted Walter and I then asked if it was okay to whisk him away for a weight and blood draw. Once he was back in the room I waited about 2 minutes before Dr. Dinwoodie came in to do a complete physical and she carefully explained all of her findings to me. We waited another 3 minutes for blood results then checked out at the front. Everyone was efficient, professional and caring. Even though it's not Walters favorite place to be he did very well and was happy to meet the staff. As far as I'm concerned they did a fantastic job tracking care of both of us.

Our usual place was booked, so I was relieved to find another kennel in the area. Without many photos online, we took our chances. Will was friendly enough. When we checked in he apologized for the "mess" but the property felt dirty and unsanitary. Obviously it's a dog kennel, so I'm not expecting it to be spotless. But it felt filthy. When I came to pick up my dog, I arrived at the agreed upon time, only to find the building locked and dark inside. I had to call the owner to come, which took several minutes. When he opened the door to the kennel, he put on earphones (the dogs were barking THAT loudly) and turned on the light. There was at least a dozen dogs in their individual kennels, left in the dark? The owner couldn't recall which dog was mine, which felt like a huge red flag to me. I also thought it was crazy that you had to pay extra for play time. What did you do with the dogs who don't pay for that? How often are they let outside? It wasn't clear to me. Once we finally got out of there, I brought my dog home. It wasn't until I let her out of the car that I realized she clearly had a bad case of diarrhea over the weekend. Her rear was stained bright yellow, with feces clinging to her fur. It almost appeared like she had been sitting in it all weekend. Regardless, I wish the kennel owner would have given me a heads up with a proper "recap" of the weekend and how my dog did. Instead, we were rushed out there because he had somewhere else to be. We board our dog all the time at various kennels, including on our cross-country move earlier this summer. We always provide her food (she has a grain allergy), and she's never had a case of diarrhea this bad before. I'm not sure what caused it, if there was added stress or strain in any way? But the fact that we weren't properly informed, I just didn't appreciate it. That, combined with the dirty property, just left me feeling disgusting. I might be crazy, but these are not conditions I expect from a dog boarder.

We left our golden retriever Nemo at My Toy Kennel for two weeks (unfortunately we could not bring…read morehim on our trip). I had heard only good things and was expecting the best. I checked in with Bill twice during our trip and the response was "he is doing well". When we picked him up he had what Bill called a "hotspot" on his head. Looked like a painful sore. I was told it was not big deal and just to put Neosporin on it. I paid for a bath upon pick up but our dog was still wet. Bill said it's because we picked him up in the morning. Hotspots need to be kept dry so I didn't like that our dog was wet. When we got him home I noticed two spots on his paws. I ended up taking him to the vet and have been cleaning his hotspots and applying antibacterial cream. The vet was surprised that the kennel owner played off the hotspot as no big deal. She had to shave Nemo's head and the sore spots on each paw. The kennel is messy. When I dropped my dog off I was told that the mess would be cleaned up. It looked the same as when I dropped him off two weeks prior. When I paid Bill and I were chatting about Nemo's one on one time (I paid extra for that). He said he doesn't usually like golden retriever's. I thought that was an unprofessional thing to say to an owner of a golden retriever. Needless to say Nemo is not returning.

I have boarded our cat at Captain Kitt's occasionally over the years whenever we were to be away…read morefor long period of time. Last month was one of those occasions. As I dropped her off, I noticed her breathing was a bit labored but wrote it off as just anxiety. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Within a few days, she was in critical condition, and I was unreachable (my phone was off). Regardless, Val rushed her to the animal hospital where they got her stabilized and then spent hours tracking me down. Unfortunately, we lost our kitty that night, but Val and her team were absolutely great! I appreciated their heart-felt condolence card too.

Captain Kitt's is a very unique pet boarding facility that caters to cats. They have various…read moreboarding options, including views of bird feeders and fish tanks. No dogs or other stressors, just a tranquil kitty friendly atmosphere. We brought our prior cat here before he passed, as he had a heart murmur, and we wanted him to have more supervision when we were away. We now have two new kittens, who are both special needs, and wanted to make sure that medication was administered as needed. So even though it's 30 minutes from our house, we feel it's worth the drive for the care that they receive. Our girls (who are sisters) shared a unit. This helped with costs as the price is per unit, not per cat. The owner, Val, suggested a horizontal unit, because one of our girls has cerebellar hypoplasia and can't climb up onto other levels. It was thoughtful of her to think of that, I wasn't thinking about the implications of the unit shape or size, I just wanted them to have space and a nice view. The facility is very clean - when you go in, you don't smell cats at all...which is a major accomplishment when there are so many cats (and litter boxes) in such a small space. And they send photos and videos of your cats to you so that you know everyone is doing well. I am still healing from that and will now need a hip surgery so very limited in what I can do. Adriana and her team are wonderful! My dogs now wait at the door for Alex to come and hear her before she gets out of her car. All of the staff love dogs and really care about what they do.
