We had the most difficult decision to make on June 18 that any pet owner ever has to make. Our 11…read moreyear old chokkie lab, Tucker, was suffering with lame hind end and laryngeal paralysis. We kind of thought it was time. It's so hard. I made an appointment for him to be checked out, and upon being shown to the exam room, Dr Kaminsky came flying in from another room because she heard his labored breathing, immediately asked if we had a lar-par situation and did he need to be intubated. We were kind of "used to it" (?) by then and said no - he always sounds like that. She excused herself back to her other appointment. After weigh in, talking to vet tech (Johnna or Gianna?), Dr Kaminsky came back and listened to us. Went over all possible treatments, that would have MAYBE bought him a little more time. She then had him walk up and down the hall. She said he's uncomfortable. That's all I needed to hear. Best dog EVER. He did not deserve to be uncomfortable one teeny bit. I'm sure they probably teach this in veterinary school, but she knew how to tell us, agree, that it was time. I snuck the question to Johnna, without my husband and son looking and she also agreed. Every employee there stood so still and respectfully as we walked past to the goodbye room. It was fast, as she said it would be, it was peaceful, and we were able to spend so much time with him after. On the way out, everyone was so kind and quiet and professional. Idk if I'll ever have another dog - though it's only been a couple of weeks. If we do, he/she will definitely go to All Friends. Thank you so much for your kindness and sympathy. I will never forget it. Tucker appreciates your loving care.

We transitioned from another local vet, who didn't provide good care or follow up from our visits, so we first saw Dr. Kaminski in December for a routine visit who provided great care to our kitties. Our old gal unfortunately was diagnosed with a life changing ailment and she provided lots of helpful information on her diagnosis and options to provide the best care for her to have a comfortable life. Dr. Kaminski was efficient, caring, and followed up regularly on her status and quality of life while we tried to pinpoint the root of her ailment. 10/10 would recommend All Friends if you're looking for great care and compassion for you and your four legged friends.

My older lab is never left more than a couple hours, he goes with me to most places and not use to being alone for long durations, also someone I could trust in my home. Crissy did an excellent job, my lab was happy, fed and let out to play. I will call Crissy's Critters for any and all future pet care. THANK YOU CRISSY

He also has a hard time with strangers, so we were resigned to think we would never get away from the house due to his issues. Once we were forced to look into dog-sitting for an event we were required to attend, we realized finding someone to look after him was imperative. After emailing back and forth with Crissy, we set up a time for them to meet at our house, to see how they got along. Carson was his typical shakey, barking self, but Crissy's easygoing nature made his nerves settle down and he eventually took to her quite enthusiastically. Crissy has dog-sat for us on multiple occasions, on day trips and weekend overnights, and every time we returned, we came back to a happy dog, and a safe house. I feel confident leaving our lil guy in her capable hands, and will continue to do so. I highly recommend her to anyone with pets, and especially people with pets who have special needs, are old or injured, or have issues that put them out of the possibility of putting their lil friend in a kennel. Prices are reasonable, with prices by the hour, or by event, such as a one hour visit being $28, or an overnight with a mid day walk being $68. Absolutely worth it, Crissy is talented and wonderful, and will remain with our family for as long as possible.

Maybe the problem lies in their definition of a "walk" and mine. I asked that the daily 30 minute activity be a walk, which they charge $25.00 for. If my dog doesn't have at least one "walk" per day, his digestive system shuts down. I walk him 3 miles per day to keep him regular, but expected at least one walk, on leash, to minimize the affects on him. I also expected a stress response but when they sent me a picture of him on day 2, I knew he was in trouble. Joe, the GM, called me after I sent an email discussing my disappointment and we had a productive conversation, and I had decided not to do this review. But then Robin, the owner called, to justify that they did nothing wrong and actually tried to blame it on my dog. That changed it for me. I'm sure if you have a dog with no special needs that they are fine, but beware if you have a dog that isn't normal. Make sure you talk to Joe so he understands what you expect from the visit and you may have a better outcome than mine.
