Wifi was fast and efficient, the selection of breakfast pastries and toasts good and efficiently priced. I look forward to coming back here again and getting more of a feel for the place. Or if you're elderly/disabled and don't really fancy leaving your meal behind to do a little bit of hiking (it's not next door, btw) on a full bladder? Or if your child has an "accident"? Ok, I did get the butter on the side, BUT the big, fat teacake I received was burning hot (literally, I couldn't even hold it), the butter was at the perfect temperature and there was *lots* of it. We managed to drench two sets of teacakes in butter using only half of one portion. All my thumbs up. My other friend ordered cake. She declared it "just ok". I didn't try, but I will say that even though the slice was so huge it was borderline comic, it wasn't so enticing looks wise. I *might* be a bit of a cake snob, yes, but I can usually tell if a cake is good just by looking at the texture. And those looked like hard polenta. A pity, since it's a (very) well served portion. And the coffee is great - as in, not bitter. Bitterness also absent from service; apart from that ludicrous suggestion, I was treated with kindness by a smiling staff. But shall I remind you again? NO. TOILET. Really.

The staff are lovely, and there's a small, yet still fairly extensive choice of cafe style breakfasts and baked goods. The last time I came was just before Christmas, and despite being a small space, still feels covid safe with massively doctoring the atmosphere, which definitely needs some kudos, as it can be a hard balance to get!
