For $10+ and being a bakery I was hoping for fresh sourdough bread. I almost did not get it when I noticed how heavy it was. When I got home and went for a piece I noticed it was dark around edges. If I lived in LR I would have taken it back. read more

Went in to check out their bread selection... it looked good but didn't have everything out. Discovered they made sandwiches and soups. The Roasted Garlic Tomato Bisque was tasty. The sandwiches we had were The Early Bird and the Pesto Chicken. The pesto chicken had great flavor... wish the bread was slightly more crispier it was a bit soft. The early bird was ok. overall a nice family style bakery. ill be back to try their bread. read more

Great, local place. The Woodstock and sourdough breads are my favorite breads but I will also give a shoutout for their cookies and scones!

Seems like it is an old school Little Rock establishment! Traditional bakery storefront with an array of bread options and lunch options - think soup and sandwiches. I'm a big fan of the biscuit-like scones! Planning to come back for lunch sometime soon. read more

I stopped by for lunch. Potato soup had weird taste as if it went bad. You know that acidic taste when food goes bad. The sandwich is not so good. I was charged with weird things like card process fee like the other reviewer who used to work there says. It's expensive for what you get. read more

So glad we stopped by to pick up breakfast on our way out of Little Rock! We ordered breakfast sandwiches, (fluffy eggs are made fresh!!) scones, and their famous cinnamon rolls. They were so kind and gave us a slice of their toasted and buttery, orange cranberry toast while we waited for our breakfast sandwiches. We loved the bread so much that we bought some before we left. :) Their baked products are so tasty!! PS- If you warm up the cinnamon rolls and slather on the buttery icing they will taste fresh out of the oven! read more

This business is unethical. They sneak extra fees onto you bill. There is no sign to tell you that they are going to charge you a fee for using a credit card. Worse and maybe even against the law, they put a fee on to cover their rent. These two fees are listed on your receipt with the taxes as add ons. I guess they hope you don't notice. Wow!!! I wish more people knew how amazing Old Mill's bread and food is... Their bread - top notch. The process they use to make the bread and sweetening it with honey makes it literally the best bread you can get in Little Rock. We're dang lucky to have an Old Mill in our neighborhood. There's not much to say about Old Mill - but what there IS to say is that this is the best dang bread out there, hands down. I haven't tried their sandwiches or drinks at the bakery, I've only come in for their bread, but that alone is worth a 5-star in my book. Old Mill consistently makes incredible breads with not only great flavor, but top notch consistency/texture. Most breads get crispy when you toast them, and quickly get to the point where it's like eating shale rock. Old Mill's bread keeps an ever-so-slight juiciness to it, even when you overdo it a little. My personal favorite is the Tomato Herb & Cheese loaf, which makes the perfect breakfast toast to go with eggs. I know they're making a name around town, but so far the only place I know of to buy loaves outside the bakery itself is the Whole Foods up the road. Seriously though, do yourself a favor and come in to get a loaf! read more

My only regret is having lived here, about 6 minutes away, for a year now and not have enjoyed their sandwiches and bakery before now. This little gem cured my fix for a nice deli sandwich and that smell of fresh baked bread I mean...cmon. Heaven. Will definitely be back!! Prices are great too! A new favorite lunch spot! So many yummy selections on the menu, I'm glad they have a pick two (or in my case, three!) The bread is freshly baked, and the soups are a delightful complement to the sandwiches. I had the Centra Coast on Spinach and feta bread, tomato and cheese soup with tomato herb bread (gotta dunk it!) and a salad to round it out. This little cafe is in the middle of all the medical Mecca in Little Rock. It's very subtle, inside and outside the shop. The food was amazing, though. Their bread was spot on! I got the chicken pesto sandwich and chicken con queso soup and both were great. The meal came with another side of bread and a cookie which were both great as well. Service was great. Old Mill has great lunch options. Everything is fresh, although it is a little on the pricey side for basic sandwiches and soup. You can choose from a variety of breads and toppings. We love the four cheese rotel bread. My husband loves the turkey apple swiss sandwich. Cookies and pastries are good, too. You can also purchase "bread of the month" cards that make great gifts. And you are almost guaranteed to find buy one, get one free coupons for Old Mill in the entertainment book each year. read more

I have been going to the Old Mill for many years. Lately I have been very disappointed. I think the ownership must have changed in the last few years. My favorite things to buy are the bagels and jalapeño and cheese bread. Lately the jalapeño bread has not been fresh and there is a drastic reduction in the amount of peppers and cheese. I bought bagels there last Saturday morning and they were literally stale. Apparently, they don't bake on Saturday. I think bagels are like donuts-if you don't sell them that day then throw them away. I love to support local businesses but I think it's going to be Panera for bagels until things change at the Mill. read more

I do still really enjoy this place. Been there many times now. I'm disappointed with a few things after today's visit. First off I found out that they offer a rewards card. Hahaha I have been here a lot and NEVER told about it. Let me top it off the lady who brought our food to our table did spill some of my soup she said oh I spilt some sorry and when I got to the store I went to pull stuff out of my purse to realize she spilt it all over my purse!!! Panera Bread and Wildflower does not even compare to this place. As soon as you walk in, there's a warm welcome from the gentleman (mark hamel)in the back. I ordered the Old Mill panini with broccoli cheddar soup. As we were eating in, the gentleman offered to taste their cranberry pecan bread.... OMG it's amazing! I am so full off of my half sandwich and soup, I'll be taking my blueberry oat muffin home with me. I can't wait for that treat! I live about 45 minutes away, I would make a trip just to come here.... it's def worth it!!! read more

I always get fresh bread here if Im in the neighborhood. The smell alone is worth going. And the people that work there? They're bakers. Warm, friendly, sharing(literally there's always buttery samples) people who bake bread and serve people, makes me think if I bake some bread more often Ill be a better human being, literally great people.The food is fresh and filling. If there were more places like this around, people would never buy bread at superstores, fresh bread daily and not expensive! It's what Panera bread would be without the "seasonal-strawberry-gluten free-vegan-quinoa and kale root salad in an edible cardboard cup" pretentious frills.(I have never had bad food at Panera, something about it over the last few years though... they're just over doing it and over charging) But THIS place is a bakery, a bakery with perfect delicious bread being made all day. It's a bakery that also happens to serve delicious sandwiches, soups, and salads. I love this place, it's a cute little place where you can sit and get a nice sandwich or pick up some delicious bread for later. I got the half sandwich and old mill salad and it was really great! The staff were all so were sweet, personable and attentive. I would recommend it again for sure! My only suggestion would be to add some more art to the walls, the big mural on the wall is really nice but it needs a little more! I'll be back again for sure! Keep up the good work guys! read more

Excellent fresh baked breads etc. we have eaten here several times. We are vegetarians so we always choose the veggie options. It has been very good every time. Sandwiches come with a bag of chips, pickle, and a fresh baked cookie. Reasonably priced with outdoor and indoor dining. read more

My wife and I try to eat food that is not processed, with no preservatives, and no artificial junk that's in 99% of the Western diet. We go to Old Mill weekly to get our bread, and it's the simplest of ingredients, but so much better than store bought. You'll spend twice as or more than a standard loaf, but it's more than worth it for a small family. If you have 5 kids - it's probably not financially feasible, but for most families, it's worth it. The other fresh breads, bagels, cookies, etc. are fantastic. Try the cinnamon biscuit sometime. Unbelievable. Their lunch options are fantastic as well. read more
