    Breakfast quesadilla
    Lisa L.

Tucked away in the lower level of Baptist Hospital, McBrides offers a large array of breakfast and lunch options . Standards such as a bagel and cream cheese to the over-the -top breakfast quesadilla. I ordered the quesadilla. I would have loved a spicier sausage or black beans in there, but in a pinch, it does satisfy. The portion was generous and it was overly cheesy and appropriately gooey. Served with a side of sour cream and salsa, again, not spicy. I get it, many don't like spicy food. The coffee was hot and delicious and there was everything for add ins. The service was fresh! Definitely a man who loves his job, so stop in If not just to say hi! I will definitely return when I need to spend time with a family member at the hospital again. Maybe lunch next time

The food was delicious and surprising, in that an item which might sound ordinary was absolutely and delightfully not. The serving sizes were so generous as to require either a large appetite or a desire to leave with seconds. The decor is bright, colorful, quirky-fun, and cheerful. I cannot recommend The Root Cafe highly enough.

Traveling through a Little Rock for work, my group decided to grab breakfast before flying out. We came in due to the raving reviews from a multitude of online sources and they did not disappoint. I ordered the Root Benny and the blueberry muffin based on the host's recommendation. First cut into my poached egg and I already knew it was the start of a culinary journey. Absolute flavor and texture perfection. The seasonal greens (steamed kale?) paired so well with the greens and the crostini was the perfect vehicle for yolk dipping. The blueberry muffin was small but delicious--exactly what you should expect from a muffin. I wish I would've remembered to order the cookies to go. I suppose I'll have to come back.

One of our friends (and a Little Rock native) recommended Boulevard Bread Company, and we're so grateful that we stopped to check this cute spot out! There are a few Boulevard locations in Little Rock, and while this one wasn't the most convenient to the highway, it was still open for lunch as we were driving through the city around 2:30 PM. I placed our order online from the road, so when we pulled in, our sandwiches were ready and waiting! I'm glad we did order ahead, as they were still pretty busy when we arrived. We grabbed a table and enjoyed our lunch inside the cafe. We split a couple of their signature sandwiches, and our favorite of the two was the pastrami. The rye bread pairs quite nicely with the roast beef. We also shared the turkey sandwich, which was good but not as memorable as the pastrami. I can confidently say that we'd make Boulevard our new go-to road trip stop in Little Rock! From the freshly baked bread and tasty sandwiches to the friendly service, this is a solid spot for lunch.

I got the Meat Lovers Omelette. Not the everyday omelette. What set this one apart from others was the smoked turkey and the thin, fluffy, crepe like egg that surrounded the meat. The one change for me would've been the potatoes. Although delicious, just a few more onions and peppers would've helped. My wife decided on the biscuit, sausage and cheese sandwich. Fresh made biscuit with the just right cooked egg and sausage made this delicious. Friendly front counter people and just good spirit. I say some of the locals are missing out, because this was a cool find for us.

We waited in the line inside the store for 15 minutes to be told There was a 20 minute wait on food due to the backup. Given its rush-hour on a weekday, I would advise avoiding this unless you have plenty of spare time, or ordering online prior to heading there. There was one person working up front managing the phone, register and barista work and one in the kitchen. We ended up grabbing coffees and leaving as we didn't have time to wait around on food.

This was my first time visiting a Cheba Hut, and I have to admit, walking into a restaurant that is completely marijuana-themed is different, but honestly kind of fun. The vibe is unique, laid back, and memorable without feeling sketchy or over-the-top. The cashier was on the quieter side, but she was extremely polite, respectful, and genuinely helpful while ordering. Customer service overall was solid. Now for the food and pricing, this is where things get a little mixed. My total came out to $21.38 for an 8-inch sandwich, a drink, and a Goo Ball. At that price point, I expected something close to one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Unfortunately, while the flavor delivered, the portion-to-price ratio absolutely did not. I tried the Goo Ball first: Krispies, peanut butter, cocoa, honey, butter, and marshmallows rolled into a ball. Honestly? This thing was $3.59 worth of disappointment. It was bland, underwhelming, and somehow managed to taste like almost nothing despite all those ingredients. Maybe this hits differently if you're stoned, but for me it just wasn't worth the money at all. 2/10 For the sandwich, I ordered the "5-0": Smoked ham, Genoa salami, prosciutto, pepperoni, bacon, giardiniera peppers, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Shake, and house dressing. Food came out in about 9 minutes, which is pretty reasonable. Flavor-wise? The sandwich was actually really good. The meats and dressing worked well together, the bread was solid, and overall it tasted fresh and satisfying. I'd honestly give the flavor an 8/10. But the value? That's the problem. For a $12 sandwich, the portions felt skimpy: - 2 slices of pepperoni - 1 slice of bacon cut in half - 2 slices of salami - 1 slice of cheese - 1 tomato slice cut in half - maybe 1/8 of a pickle slice There was genuinely more lettuce than every other topping combined. It felt like a sandwich built to look full instead of actually being full. If this sandwich were priced around $8-9, I'd probably leave happy. But at $12+, I expected a much more generously stacked sub. Cheba Hut has a cool concept, clean restaurant, and tasty food, but the pricing versus portion size keeps this from being a place I'd regularly come back to. Great vibe, decent sandwich, disappointing value.
