Went here to return a few items we purchased from another store. It was the nearest location to us, and was over 30 min away. I guess Birmingham doesn't like Old Navy much anymore. I haven't been to this location is several years. I was recently here with my niece shopping for a few work pieces. She found a few pieces. I bought a few things also. I broke my rule of trying on anything before I purchase it. That being said, I have to return 1 of the 5 items I purchased... not too bad I guess! 2 of my items were final clearance and can't be returned. Those items fit properly. This location always seems overcrowded with too much stuff! There was lots of clearance stuff with decent prices. At checkout the young lady that assisted me was professional and informative. My mom didn't receive the same experience with the associate that assisted her. read more

Jennifer was awesome!! I went in to get some pants for my 13 year old who is now in a men's size. What was hard was that I was trying to find some pants that would replace some school uniform pants that we get from Lands End. The pants my son wore to school they had a hole in them. This is the closest Old Navy to tilde Birmingham Metro area, and for those of us living North of Birmingham, this really isn't close at all. The only reason we came here was to return items that we hadn't tried on (my fault) at a store in Florida. Had I known that the nearest Old Navy to return items was 1 hour away, I would have passed all together. That being said, the store itself was clean and the associate who returned the items was polite. Store seemed fairly new, and there was plenty of parking (even on the tax free weekend). I buy pants here and that's pretty much it. My son gets pants here. My hubbie well he is fine with George at Wallyworld. The price isn't bad especially when they are on sale. Where they lack 1. Keeping my style and size in (must b popular but they dont restock) 2. Sometimes not having enough cashiers (the line can get long) 3. Don't buy anything up at the front(by the cashiers) They mark that stuff up !!Don't impulse buy. I bought a trial size petroleum jelly for my lips 5 bucks! What the heck why? Wallyworld its 3.65 which I was thinking in the 3 dollar range . Why the mark up? So for pants I come here. Now shirts not so much my style nor do they last anyways. Hubbie used to get vacation tshirts here they lasted a year maybe . Eh I come here out of necessity ONLY! My son still needs pants that are adjustable (other places dont carry) I must also mention they hounded this poor Indian man w/ child. I didn't appreciate that at all. Their security thing dinged , they searched and found nothing. It was quite absurd how long he was kept there. I checked out and he was still held there. A quick search was all that was needed. Then let him go .. At least the man was patient about it. read more

One thing I will never understand is the quality of old navy clothes and the cost of old navy does not match up. Athletic Pants for 49.99 is insane when the quality is the same as Walmart. read more

Old Navy is jeans and khaki head quarters for my son. My daughter loves the PJs. When my son was young a tremendous amount of his clothing came from this store. My daughter still gets little sundresses and some clothing but not nearly as much as we used to purchase. I realize that this is the bottom of the barrel for this clothing company. Top tier being Banana Republic followed by the Gap and then Old Navy. Old Navy has some good quality inexpensive products; however, the good quality products are getting harder and harder to find. I have a couple cheap pairs of khaki type shorts that I wear from here. They're comfortable. They're decent quality. Men's shirts are cheap but they're extremely poor quality and they shrink. This store is cleanish, decently organized but largely devoid of employees. No one in the depts, no one in the dressing room and a single cashier. I'll continue to buy jeans here for my son but that's almost it. read more

Great day at Old Navy. Went around 5:30 and closed the store out. I went specifically looking for items to take on my trip later this month and found almost everything I needed minus a white dress. They had the linen pants for $10 yesterday only and I put them capri pants down and got pants. Lol. You can't beat that sale. I hit the sale racks and found some great buys. A long maxi dress. Lavender capris. Sweaters. A romper I've been wanting for ages. I got some really nice items on clearance. Sweaters for later this year especially. The staff was beyond helpful even while checking us out after they had closed at 7. read more

I use to have respect for this entire store/company until I worked for them. They have very good quality clothes and have a good work ethic but until I was "let go" over the phone, on the day I was suppose to come into work, by the "head manager" was ridiculous. They never have had any respect for their employees. I would never recommend working here unless you wanted to be picked as a favorite. This is the second location of Old Navy we visited today. Maybe it's the contrast to our other experience, but I don't think so...this store was a pleasure to visit. We were greeted warmly when we entered and the store was immaculate. The items we were looking for (specifically a pair of skinny jeans and a pair of khakis for my son) were well-signed and well-stocked, the fitting rooms were clean and staffed. The checkout line was also well-staffed and neat. The staff there were also friendly and quick. Alabaster is a pretty decent trek from hoover just to go to Old Navy, but it's worth it to me to avoid the chaos at The Summit and the utter mess of the Galleria location. read more

Great Old Navy. Kid's, Men's, and Women's clothing store. Always a sale and good looking clothes. This store is CLEAN, well kept and staffed by friendly helpful people. Large selections and well organized. Not much to say about this sight other then if you don't live close it IS worth the drive. read more
