I'm disappointed in how little compensation they give for the clothes that you sell. I've sold some really nice brands of clothing that don't fit me anymore and got very little in return. Plato's closet is definitely my #1 choice for selling used clothes. They give way more cash in return and accept a broader variety of brands and types of apparel. Unfortunately there's only one plato's in Cary and Uptown is way closer to me.

But the lady at the front desk didn't even look at them carefully, so she randomly chose two pieces and gave me a dollars. And they told me you can take all of them back with you or leave it. Maxx & HomeGoods with three business tops, a pair of shoes, and a travel pillow. It is nice that both T.J.Maxx and HomeGoods are together in the same space - it makes finding unique buys and deals easy! It is a clean and beautiful store with friendly staff. The cashiers are warm and you can easily find staff around who can help you find things. It is well-stocked and has a large variety of unique finds, so every store visit is like a treasure hunting experience. I also feel like I'm getting great deals and bargains when I shop there because they sell quality items that last me a long time and at great prices. I went in to purchase a few items using my Kohl's Gift Card along with a 30% off coupon that Kohl's regularly sends to its valued customers. The register accepted both without any issue. But then the sales manager stepped in and told me that if I used the 30% coupon, I was not allowed to pay with my gift card and would be forced to use a Kohl's Credit Card instead. Even when I showed that the system allowed the gift card, the manager said: "Even if the system allows it, I will not allow it." This felt extremely unprofessional and honestly scam‑like, as if they were trying to push customers into opening or using a Kohl's credit card. The incident happened in front of other customers, causing unnecessary embarrassment and wasting my time and trip. If this is how this store treats long‑time loyal customers, I strongly recommend others avoid this location until Kohl's addresses this behavior. No customer should be denied a valid payment method or pressured into using a credit card they don't want.

As I got lost in the unlimited supply of Stanley Cups they had in stock, one of the workers approached (Mike, I think was his name and he must have seen my expression of pure overwhelmed! I don't own a Stanley so this would be my first) He pleasantly acknowledged my plight, guided me on styles and also directed me to the new Calia Stanley display up front. I also like that there's a CVS pharmacy and a Starbucks inside, which is super convenient. One of the main reasons I go there is their fresh produce. It's usually really good. Ordering online with drive-up pickup is also very quick and easy. Another thing I like is that you can even do returns through drive-up, which is perfect for lazy people like me.. lol! They're open until 11 PM, so if you suddenly need something late in the evening, you can usually rely on Target. Overall, it's one of the stores I depend on regularly.

I go in fairly often for tailoring and repairs, and they are always welcoming and willing to listen carefully while I figure out exactly what I want done. Today really stood out. I brought back a pair of pants that had been hemmed and looked great, but just didn't feel comfortable when I wore them. I was worried I was asking too much since I'd already been in a few times about these pants, but Ping couldn't have been more understanding. She insisted on letting them back out while I was there, even though it was near closing time. She also noticed a jacket I had and tightened the buttons on that too--again, on the spot. She was so kind, accommodating, and generous with her time, and she wouldn't even let me pay. That level of care and customer service is rare.
