She personally assisted us with shopping for appropriate dresses for a 8th Grader. Unfortunately we did not find a perfect fit, however, the selection at Dillards for evening gowns and Special Occasions is tremendous. I appreciate the fact they dedicated a portion of the store to Juniors sizes. Many of the other department stores have gotten rid of Juniors/ Misses and have merged styles with Women's clothing. Dillards has an abundance of designers, I just wish the price tags were reasonable.

The other day, I decided to venture off to Cameron Village. While some areas of Cameron Village pretend like covid-19 is not a thing, Madison did a great job making me feel safe. You can try on clothes, and I am pretttyyyy sure they sanitize the clothes after you try em on. I put back a shirt I didn't want, and I noticed they went back and grabbed it off the rack and took it to the back, presumably to sanitize. I love that. I had both receipts and the original tags. Despite that, a woman who I believe was a shift leader or manager approached the associate who was helping me and began inspecting the items in a way that felt unnecessary, accusatory, and frankly, demeaning. Mind you, the associate did not ask for her assistance and was in the middle of processing my return without any issues. I shop at this Marshall's weekly and spend a lot of money here. I have never had any issues with returns before, so to be treated like I was doing something wrong was completely out of line. The way I was looked at and spoken to made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassed in front of other customers. It felt like I was being racially profiled, and that is absolutely unacceptable. There was no reason for the scrutiny I received, especially when I followed every policy and brought the items back in perfect condition. Marshall's needs to take a serious look at how certain staff members interact with loyal customers and make sure everyone is treated with respect, regardless of their race or background. This experience was disappointing and embarrassing. From now on, I'll take my Black dollars elsewhere.

The two employees at the front were very helpful and explained the new policy regarding returns. At this point my return would be an expectation (due the new policy). Communication was good and clear - however, once I got to the cashier - she turned the experience upside down. Instead of asking one of the others about clear understanding of what was happening - she started to charge me for the plug when they provided it was an even exchange. The attitude wasn't needed - the I'll just give it to you. Ma'am - what are you talking about? Why are you frustrated as if I did something to you? Why the attitude at all? At this point, I am okay with not going to this location again. I am aware of the new policy and will govern my purchases going forward with that understanding.
