This Old Navy is in Lincolnwood Town Center mall and while it's often a mess and the line is always long, it's a very convenient location when you need an outfit or particular piece. It's great for jeans, tops and other casual clothes, for everyone in the family. Every transaction yields a survey on the receipt which gives 10% off on a future purchase. I usually have several of those in my wallet, and when combined with their reward dollars, we sometimes pay next to nothing for clothes! (The reward dollars are issued when you have their credit card.) Yesterday the whole store was on sale and I bought 6 baby outfits for a shower gift. After all the discounts were applied, I owed $1.16! When I realized that literally EVERYTHING in the store was marked down I went back and got 3 more outfits, and still paid a total of under $30.00! Beware really stingy attitude on returns. Licolnwood location In Chicago. Had receipt for 2 items outside the 30 day policy. Manager Edith at first refused any credit at all and then credit only at current price ($8 instead of $19.99) even tho i had receipt showing original amount. And said only if i used all the credits today. Why would you not honor the receipt amount?? No thanks. I'll donate items and go shop at Target now. read more

Old Navy isn't my favorite brand, but hubby constantly needs khakis for work. Well, I should say he's most comfortable with Old Navy Khakis. From what I could remember, sizes at Old Navy did run large. However, I believe the sizes now do run true. This finding at least applies on men's Khakis, so I wouldn't say the same for women's apparel. In terms of customer service, one will most likely need to be self-sufficient. We came in at around 1900 hour. It's the beginning of straightening, folding, and dealing with the go-backs from the fitting rooms. I knew sales associates would be fairly preoccupied so that they would get out of the store early enough. For those who are in the retail business, tomorrow will be another day, another dollar! Anyways, hubby found what he needed: two (2) pair of khakis and one (1) pack of underwear. I guess owing to the back-to-school season, the classic khakis were on sale for $19. However, the color khakis were priced higher, $34. We got to use Old Navy credit card reward certificates, so that was a $20 discount off the total purchase. Overall, I don't have much complaint shopping at Old Navy. It, nevertheless, can potentially be a one-stop shopping for the entire family, as long as you're not stuck in the check-out line for another ten (10) to fifteen (15) minutes. read more

Lots and lots of sale summer dresses in a broad range of sizes, colors, prints and lengths- all cheap? You need to go shopping. The staff was busy. The shelves and racks were loaded. The store was packed. Double check those sizes. Yes, They run a bit large but I tried on a silky, pretty blue printed maxi dress, marveled at how well the support was constructed (wow, boobs look great!) .... And realized on looking for the price tag, read the size tag: I had tried on a maternity maxi dress. Gaaaaa... No thank you, not pregnant, I don't need that- put it back right away. Cue the canned sitcom laughter. No! Eeek, no, not yet! Lots of cute accessories like scarves, sandals, flip-flops and even dog toys. Yes, you can buy dog collars, dog shirts, dog bandanas, even chew toys or frisbees here. Awesome. I found a strapless dress with a blue print that reminded me of a China Pattern. Today I went into the Lincolnwood Shopping Center for my favorite lunch of PretzelDog and lemonade at Auntie Anne's Pretzels, but, to my dismay, I found the line to be very long. Little did I know that this long line would result in my lucky day. I proceeded to wander past Auntie Anne's and found myself looking at a massive retail metropolis labeled OLD NAVY. I meandered through the store and found many different items. There were many types of shirts and also in many different colors. Shirts without collars, shirts with collars, and even collars with shirts! There were also many pairs of pants. Pajama pants, underpants, and pant-pants. Many of these pants also paired very well with the aforementioned shirts. An infinite amount of combinations! To validate my theory that God himself dropped this little slice of heaven at the Lincolnwood Shopping Center, I learned that the pants also come in a variety of sizes. Sizes for big people and for small people and short people and tall people and even pants for me! So much excitement was had that I accidentally urinated all over my pants, but I am of the belief that it was a subconscious act, as I was forced to buy a new pair of pants. I sauntered out of the OLD NAVY in my new track pants (on sale for $8.99!) and skipped back to Auntie Anne's for my PretzelDog lunch. By the time I got to the front of the line, I realized that I had spent my PretzelDog money on my new ActionFleece TrackPants, but I was not disappointed with my choice. Aside from the initial embarrassment of urinating and the resulting finger pointing and projection of blame on an innocent child, I have no regrets. I went in this past Monday and had a man named Savvas take care of me for an on-line return, which was actually an exchange like I have done in the past. He said there was nothing he could do for me, I asked three times, and three times he said it was impossible, I can only return. I thought, ok I guess policy changed, so I accepted. not 30 seconds in the cashier next to us ran an on-line return with funds onto her gift card so she could run her exchange right on the spot. I thought I might have heard wrong, so later asked who I'm guessing is a manager of sorts if that was still an option, she said "yes, we take the return, add it to a gift card and match the on-line price" This man went out of his way to be rude, dismissive, and possibly racist, cause I can't imagine what else would trigger his behavior, we did look messy, as we were currently working on house projects, but if that warrants a nasty attitude, then how sad for you. Trouble didn't end there however, on my receipt only 5 of the 7 items I "returned" show up, I had to call and ask what happened, lady says they show as returned, but maybe he didn't give me that receipt. Ok, Savvas, did my family do something to you that I am not aware of for you to think you can look down on us??? How sad that after years and years of happy shopping at Old Navy, I had to run into this guy. I don't shop at Old Navy often but when I do.. this Old Navy is my LEAST favorite store to go to. My biggest issue with this store is its always a MESS and looks like a teenager's messy room but only in a form of a store. Sizes are scattered all over... in no precise order.. unfolded clothes laying around everywhere.. clothes on the floor...plus the selection is abysmal.. I can NEVER find anything in my size or my kids sizes. It seems this store is not adequately staffed and there is always huge lines with ONE cashier mostly. Although the sales associates on the floor have been helpful the times I have gone.. the hurricanetype mess of clothes is enough to give me anxiety. I know it's not completely the store's fault the people that frequent this Old Navy are inconsiderate and do not put things back where they belong etc., the store should be better managed so that the store is kept in order. Otherwise... I'd personally rather drive to a farther location than deal with the hot mess that is this store. read more

Love old navy but hate this location and customer service. Returned a purse that I never opened ( bought it for a wedding but my husband got me one so I didn't need it). Anyways, while I was returning it the cashier opened up the bag and saw sensors in it. She kept making comments that it was strange I never opened the bag and saw the sensors. She was insinuating that I was doing something fishy ( although I had the receipt). I have never felt more uncomfortable and disrespected by a cashier. I called corporate and they fixed the issue by issuing my a gift card. From this issue, I will not be returning to this location. read more

Horrible customer service! I bought A fair amount of clothing there prior to Thanksgiving. Upon getting home and putting on a new cardigan, I found a giant hole in the arm. Just attempted to bring it back and the store that sold it to me with the hole in the arm also sold it to me without tags. They refused to take back a sweater that they sold defective and ended up losing out on a huge purchase simply because they were incredibly rude and unhelpful. WARNING this will be long. I don't really shop at Old Navy often so this review will be based on a single encounter. I brought my nephew here to get some clothes for him. He's 3 years old. Got some shirts, pants and a jacket. As people with kids know it's not a very easy task to get a child that young to try on clothes. I convinced him / bribe would be closer to the truth/ to try on the jacket only. Big surprise, now he won't take it off. When it's our turn at the register I nicely ask the young lady if she could take the sensor off and scan the tag while he has the jacket on. I volunteered to pick him up and hold him so she won't have to come around. She said no. I tried taking it off,but no luck. She proceeded to talk down to me and her other coworkers joined in and were making rude comments as well. It literally took other shoppers behind me telling them that their behavior is unacceptable. And a young man with kids demending they help me /bless his heart/. After that she was able to do it. I was so embarrassed and feeling like an idiot. I would have left the clothes behind and been outta there, but somebody was little too attached to his new jacket. Based on previous reviews I'm not the only one who had issues here. read more

Hands down THE worst customer service experience. I've been shopping from Old Navy for over 12 years and just last night dropped almost $300 online. I happened to be in the mall and saw sales. So I went in and grabbed some items and saw there were two lines for the register with their green lights on. There was no line, but one person was being checked out at Register 1, so I went to Register 2. I waited 5 minutes there for someone to show up (because the green light was on saying the register was open). Only for a woman employee to come and tell me that I needed to go to the back of the line (that had now formed) and wait till I was called. I had no problem with that, my mistake, I went to the back of the line. I was served by a gentleman who informed me that I could save 30% if I used my Old Navy credit card. I didn't have it with me, so I declined. He then told me he could look me up. So I agreed. He couldn't find me. So I asked if I could call my parents and use their card to get the savings. He told me "yes". I then followed up and asked if I could use my dad's GAP card. He said "yes". and then suspended my transaction so he could help the next person. I got the card number and asked if I should go to Register 2 so I didn't have to wait in line. The male employee said, "yes, she can help you". So I go there and she promptly tells me that her transaction is going to take a while and I needed to go to the back of the line AGAIN. No problem. I go to the back of the line and wait. and wait. and finally she calls me over saying that she can help me now. I explain to her what happened and asked if she wanted the phone to get the card number from my dad. When she tells me she won't take a credit card over the phone. SO rude- to the point where my dad told me I needed to talk to the manager. I'm 28 years old. I'm not going to beg the manager to use my credit card- I wanted to save $30, but I paid for it with my Visa and left. SO RUDE, will never go back. read more

While the staff is usually very friendly, I was put off by a certain woman yeseterday who felt it was necessary to use that huge metal staircase/ ladder thing within several feet of me and my kids. Whatever she was doing was way more important than giving us a little personal space while we browsed the toddler sale section (as she shifted that monstrosity every which way around us - clearly we were in her way). I had not visited in a while and they changed the store layout. It used to be two entrances and the store made a semi circle, I thought flow was good. The store used to be clean and you could see the clothes displayed. Now, it's one entrance, right away manequins and a wall and you need to get around this to get to the store. Tons of stand alone racks that clog up the aisles and don't let you see the clothes. Everything was messy, in piles or on the floor. Kids' underwear packs were opened and spilling. Horrid selection of clothes. It was depressing. read more
