Shopped at Old Navy with my 13 year old granddaughter twice recently. They carry trendy clothes that she likes. The stock was well stocked for spring. She found the popular wide legged jeans she wanted plus several other items. I found shorts and shirts for my husband. Five Stars for amount of stock in this large store that was neatly organized and for the great staff! What we liked at the Niskayuna location: *Clothing etc. is displayed nicely. *Store is clean and orderly. *It is well organized and neatly arranged on racks, shelving, and tables. *Signs for sales were displayed prominently. *Staff were helpful and courteous. They were eager to provide assistance when asked. *When there was a customer in line as I was in process of checking out, another cash register was opened so she did not have to wait. *My cashier looked for additional discounts for me. *Prices are better than at the Gap and American Eagle. *Returns are processed quickly at store. Also, there is lots of continent parking. One improvement to this store and nearby Ulta would be to install automatic door openings (double doors) for better handicapped accessibility. So they do have some good sales but they also seem to do the bait and switch. Sweaters were marked 22.00. They were having a 50% off sale. In very small print they have the regular price with 50% off that. If it wasn't pointed out to me I would not have noticed it. Even the cashier agreed that it was very confusing to the customers because the credit card promotion is 30% off your purchase. When you aren't sure what is actually going to be rung up at the register that's when you lose my business read more

The managers were attentive and very helpful! Loved that this location is not too crowded like the Albany location and it's easy to find parking and all close by as it is in a plaza vs the mall. They do take military IDs and provide an additional discount that's always a perk. Bought some Cute summer clothes today and can't wait to be back in a few weeks for some more sales. read more

If I was a fan of old navy's I'd rate this a four because it's extremely clean and the customer service is absolutely incredible (that is for cashiers). The cashier was extremely friendly and helpful last time I checked out. Otherwise I'm not a fan of Old Navy in General, the sizes are completely off and I'm confused why I'm paying 20 dollars for cheap quality stuff. Forget that and its not terrible. This store is fairly small and has a limited selection, but the only two times I've ever been in it I've been able to find what I needed. read more

This was hands down the most well organized Old Navy I've been in. The whole store was well kept (even the clearance area) and there were many good deals to be found. I bought a brown tote bag on clearance for $7. A steal! A store employee even asked me if I was finding everything okay while I was looking through clearance. This is a first for me while shopping in an Old Navy. My only complaint is that sizes were limited in some of their sale styles. I know this is no fault of the store employees, though. I am writing to express my upset over a recent incident at the Old Navy store in Niskayuna, NY. I went to return a pair of pants which I purchased for my daughter. The pants were damaged at the zipper. I did not have my receipt, however all of the tags were attached and intact. I did have the credit card they were purchased with, as well as the appropriate ID. The general manager was able to find evidence of the purchase, the price I paid for them and the date they were purchased on the computer. I was told that I had missed the '45 day' return deadline for Christmas purchases, and as result I could not receive the amount I had paid for them. This despite the fact that they were damaged. I tried to reason with the general manager, Greg Towe, however he was immovable and inflexible. This was the worst customer service I have ever received. Given the fact that the pants were damaged it seems that accomodations should have been made to rectify the situation rather than digging heals in and refusing to assist. I will never set foot in Old Navy or any of it's affiliates again. Perhaps further education should be provided regarding customer service, being fair and cultivating relationships with consumers in the community. read more

Listen, the staff is super nice, and if I had kids I'm sure I'd love the place. There are a couple of things that we got but overall I'm not a fan. I shop at BR a lot and I find high quality stuff for a decent price. Clearence rack my friends, lol. The price is right though so I cant be a hater. I do like the location of this one. What I do appreciate is that parents who may not have a lot can dress their kids nicely for a reasonable amount. A pricetag cannot be put on that, we remember how ruthless kids are. This is easily the best ON in the area with amazing staff and a very clean store. The store is well organized and allows visitors to easily find all the necessary sections. The clearance section is great and often the top attraction. On a personal note, every year I go during the wintertime and spend $100-200 on cold weather items at the store. The clearance section provides the best bang for my buck with quality scarves and gloves. My only compliant is the recent crowding of jewelry displays around the checkout area which can make it cumbersome when shopping with a cart. read more
