Came here with my husband to get him fitted for a tux rental. We needed an option that we could pick up in another state for a black tie wedding. Men's Wearhouse works perfectly since it allowed him to get measured and order the rental locally, but pick it up near where the wedding will be, out of state. The process was super easy and didn't take very long. We were greeted by someone almost immediately after walking in, and he was the same person who went through the whole rental/measurement process with us. There are lots of options, but he made it very easy. We walked in to rent a tux and were greeted moments after walking through the door. That was to be our salesperson for the rest of the night and he was wonderful. He knew the products inside and out, walked us through the whole process, answered all our questions, did a great job with the measurements, and helped me put on and adjust the clothing. It's funny after all of these years of never having been in a Men's Wearhouse after seeing all those commercials that they ran for so long. I finally had the need of going to one for a friend. My buddy had come in from Japan and needed a dress jacket. He had forgotten the one that he had and it was important for an event. We looked around at about three or four different shops online for a sports coat. Then we saw the sign men's Wearhouse ,when we were looking for one of those other places and I went man these guys have everything. When I was calling the store directly to find out what their hours were a very nice young man answer the phone said that they were open with plenty of time for us to get there, and he would make sure that they would have some coats selected out in the sizes we were looking for. When we got there, we were greeted by this young man and a staff of two other women and it was about a half hour before they closed and they were all so very helpful. Getting us the right size and coat for this event. We didn't have to look anywhere else we we got excellent customer service, smiling faces, and happy employees. We bought the jacket. It was a very high-quality jacket. It looked great on him and it turned out that he needed the jacket for my birthday party that was going to be a surprise for me the next day. A few days ago, I purchased two dress shirts for $124 using my bank card. The terminal flashed approved then the system went down. The clerk then used another terminal and charged me again (I used my Visa card then). The clerk insisted that I would not get charged twice, but if I did, bring in proof and they will credit one of my cards. Well, I was indeed charged twice, brought in proof today and both the sales associate and the manager (who was present when the system went down!) both shrugged off my proof (as if I was lying) and went on to other customers. Noticing that I was not leaving (by this time, I was not a happy camper), the manager called customer service. They are expected to issue a refund on Monday. If I don't receive it, I am going to my bank to reverse the charge or contact the NYS Attorney General's office. I should not have to do this, but the two gentlemen were beyond RUDE and could care less how loyal a customer I am. Ironically, my son and I were there to purchase suits. I will avoid Albany and try Clifton Park this week. Never did anyone apologize and say they would handle it and then offer to sell me the suits. Customer service? What customer service? This place is a mess and their customer service is a joke. Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. Considered using them to get a custom suit and several suit rentals for a wedding but after going in for the measurements and talking to a salesperson we decided to look elsewhere. We experienced so many of the customer service issues stated in other reviews. We walked in and were ignored. We waited for someone to approach us, we were ignored. We walked over to the desk area. We were ignored. A couple walked in after us, they were acknowledged, escorted over to the service desks where we were standing, were seated and started being interviewed. We were still standing and being ignored -just 5 feet away from these guys. Yes, eventually we were helped. They have a 2-person system -one guy measured my son, and the other guy filled out the paperwork. Both gents turned out to be pretty personable. But this location really needs to have a staff meeting about what to do when someone walks into the store. Or hire a doorman. read more

when your job is mens suits and you cant even get that right should you really call yourself a mens suit store. out of 5 suits for the wedding party not one was correct on the pick up day not to mention some werent even the correct city. The ones not at the local store were 5hrs away. So not only did the local store screw up but 2 other stores in different towns did as well. Luckily we thought well some friends could grab them which they did however items were missing and even the wrong size vest for the groomsmen. Sorry only goes so far and when your trusted with making the special day perfect with your suits and you fail this bad it might be time to reevaluate your line of work. For the third time, my fiancé and I stopped in to Men's warehouse to order suits for our wedding and I will never be able to explain why I thought that the third stop would be any different. We were not greeted or told someone would be with us shortly. After standing there looking at suits and ties for 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us, we once again decided to walk out. We even stood within feet of two employees and neither of them said a word to us. While we loved the suit and tie combination that we were able to put together, rest assured I will find it someplace else where customer service is a priority. Went there this holiday weekend with a male friend who needed a dressy casual outfit for a wedding. The salesperson, Justin, that helped us was quite knowledgeable about sizing to get a great looking fit. He was very patient with my friend, who does not dress up at all and is extremely picky and difficult. I have a wedding party coming up and was told to go to a men's warehouse to get measured for a tux, then fax the measurements to the tailor the party was using. Wasn't sure how that was going to go but I went into this store and I explained the situation. Have you seen Judge Dredd the film? Yah, neither have I. But I do dread the judgements by men's wearhouse customer service. It's dreadful because of its lack of customer service. And this has been true for all the men's wearhouse I've been to (one in Rochester). They only seem to want to help the rich and famous, even when there's no one else in their store! I walked in with the impression that their stuff was of moderate quality and was sold for a deal boy was I wrong ! Let me start with the store was completely empty and when we walked in the sales associates looked like ravenous lions chomping at the bit for a sale. The salesperson picked out some clothes, I didn't like them at all and they were really of poor quality. They were not name brands, pants ran around $100 and the hideous shirt was $80. No sales or nothing. The shirts there were tacky, cheap imports. Also she said my arms were stubby....then she corrected it by saying "but they are in proportion".... Something you already know. No business can afford to offer a buy one get one free deal the way Men's Wearhouse does. They take $200 suits, put a $599 price tag on it, and let you "Buy One, Get One Free!" Woo Hoo! Overall quality of everything but suits is poor. Customer service fail. Wedding parties looking to purchase suits beware! Whether they have requested that you take all of your groomsman's suits on the spot so they are not lost, or stolen? Maybe they have mislead you by telling you in order to make a payment on a suit for a wedding you must come in to pay or else you will be charged a fee for being late. This is not a company policy, you can actually call and make a payment over the phone. We had moved out of the area and lived closer to the Clifton Park location so we called to see if we could make the payment there or over the phone. The sales woman we worked with said this could not be done. Well upon arriving at the location a week or two after the conversation to make the final payment and pick up the suit, we found out the saleswoman had moved to the Niskyuana location and took the suit with her! So not only did we go out of the way to pick up and pay for the suit but she took it to a location that was even more inconvenient. Upon speaking with another employee we found out that they could ship them between stores for free. Needless to say we requested it to be shipped to Clifton Park. We have experienced the latter with them. Would love to have an experience that warrants an update to this review but the last 3 experiences have them stuck at a 1. read more

If I could leave less than one star I would. To the point where the associate Monir was yelling across the store at me as I tried to leave. I opened telling him I had gotten my last suit from them and I really liked it so I came back!!! I was excited to get a new suit that day as well! He hands me the first suit $700 suit and I told him I wasn't looking in that price range. Automatically I could see the care leave his eye. He then just handed me things and didn't care at all about the sale. Fed up with his rude behavior I took the suit off and said I wasn't interested. Without looking at me he snatches the jacket and said "Fine." At this point I just started laughing at the situation. I started walking towards the door and he yells across the store "What's so funny?" I replied "You're a horrendous salesman and didn't care at all." He reponds with "Well you were wasting my time anyway." "I said back "I'll never buy a suit from somebody who only cares about getting the highest sale possible." I told you I was there to buy a suit. Would have loved to have bought one, but instead went right down the road to your competitor. Monir has just ruined the entire company for me. I have nice suits from Brooks Brothers that I bought on Madison Ave. (so not the cheap outlet version) but I was in Albany and I needed a suit for a last minute unexpected event. I didnt know where to go so I tried Macy's since I know they sell Men's suits. I wasn't happy with the selection so I left Colonie Center Mall and I saw Men's Wearhouse across street. I dreaded the thought of walking into Men's Wearhouse...its the type of place you go when your life goes to hell and youre selling used cars. But I was desperate as I had less than 24 hours before my event. So I walk in and George greets me. First thing I notice is that he has long nails like Freddy Krueger...pretty disturbing....anyway, I decided to get a suit that I would likely never wear again. I told George I only needed one suit (as I was only there out of desperation) but George informed me that the price is the same if I get 2 suits as they were offering "buy 1 get 1 free". In looking at their selection, its all the low end brands...Lauren by Ralph Lauren (basically his TJ Maxx line), Joseph Abboud (which is carried in every discount retailer) and other brands you see when bargain shopping. I noticed they had no prices listed nor did George tell me...but I was thinking, its Men's Wearhouse...what's the most it can be...$250 - $350 maybe (Their current commercials say the suits are $199 which is a fair price for the garbage they sell here)? So after having my suits marked by the tailor I start to walk up to the register and George tells me I absolutely cannot wear black shoes with my suits ( I tell him I have lots of Louis Vuitton shoes so Im all set) . He then had various ties and shirts laid out with my suits and he was trying to tell me he was my fashion consultant....backoff Freddy Krueger with the bad suit. Anyway, I reach the register and I again, I am not even the least bit concerned with the price. So George has his colleague ring up the suits and he tells me $900!!! I was like, is this a joke...you're telling me one suit from Men's Wearhouse is $900...please. George tries to tell me that because of the alterations the price was higher. I laughed and said "bye bye". Honestly, this was the biggest con job I have ever seen in my life. George tried to play me like a fool and everyone knows that any place that offers "2 for 1" anything and has commercials that say "You are going to like the way you look" (while buying a $150 - $200 suit is not going to look good) is where you go you can't afford to go to a quality place. I have since shared my story with others about how Men's Wearhouse tried to sell me a $900 suit and we all laugh. What's next, the $200 hamburger at McDonald's. The $700 shoes at Walmart. read more

NEVER AGAIN will I purchase a suit or rent tuxedos from Men's Warehouse! My son married over the long Memorial Day weekend. The wedding, fortunately, was on Sunday. The tux for 2 dad's arrived in the wrong color (at 2 different stores), my other son was measured in Wilmington NC and was to pick up his tux's in Albany NY. That didn't work out either. His tux went to Dixon NJ! 1 day before the wedding we were stuck waiting on 3 tuxedos. Issues at 3, yes 3 different stores almost ruined my son's wedding and definitely caused a great deal of angst! After trying on the tux's, the best man and my other son had high waters, the junior grooms man's shirt hung down to the middle of his hand while his tux sleeve finished off a good 3" above his wrist. One of the late arriving tuxedos arrived with the wrong color shoes. Far too many screw ups to entrust them to do anything right ever again. Not just locally, but also at the Wilmington NC store that shipped a tux to Dixon PA and another NJ location that shipped the wrong color tux! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! read more

We received wonderful service from Cengiz. I have a wedding coming up in October to attend with three days worth of events. My date needed a new suit or two and Cengiz measured him and was able to pull out a few options immediately. The tailor was on sight for a fitting and in two weeks we will have two new suits all ready to go. This was a much better experience than the major department store in the mall across the street. Had a very bad experience. I have no complaints with the store but rather with the staff working there. The guy who was helping me was really rude and very impersonal. We almost decided to buy a suit but they lost our business just due to this guy's behavior. He forced us to buy a shirt just because he has opened it from its package. While they might be cheaper than going to Macy's or the like to get a nicer suit, you're not saving anything by going here. The staff is rough and the work is shoddy. Went through purchasing suits for a wedding. Probably the worst retail experience I've ever had. The store clearly does not have the staff and space to accommodate the number of customers they see. So each salesmen is usually dealing with multiple customers, at the same time. This guarantees that you'll never have their full attention for any amount of time. In my specific experience, anything that could've gone wrong, did. Having alterations done was hectic and lasted for hours. The date the salesman gave me to pick up the suit was wrong so I had to come back days later. When I called to check if the suit was indeed finished and ready to pick up, they told me they had no record of my suit and had to take down my number and call me later to tell me that they did indeed have my suit. Any place that apologizes to you, multiple times, for "mix ups" does not deserve your business. Go, literally, anywhere else. read more

Went today for a nice outfit for my sons 8th grade dance/prom. I could not believe they try to swindle me into over paying for a pair of pants!!! They had a hand written price tag for $174.50. Yes simple black Pronto slacks with the tab missing and some tag that was mark at that crazy price tag!! The check out clerk was fast talking me saying, well you did get a second pair for free. So I proceeded to walk back to the racks to pull another pair of the same kind, and what do you know, that price tag was $89.50. I couldn't believe my eyes!!! Bought a suit for my daughters wedding, left it to be altered for 3 weeks they had it, promised it would be ready, picked it up (I live an hour away) to find out the suit was never touched. Too late to go back the store would have been closed by the time I got there. Very, Very bad service. I know the business may charge a little more than other stores, but you are paying for the dedicated service and attention of the staff. That is why I keep going back. Hello All, Recently, I heard on Marc Maron's podcast that Menswearhouse, for the month of July, was taking donations for business attire. This is a great idea for me to unload, jackets, pants and a nice suite, gently worn over the last 16 years. I read the reviews of this store and they were not so good, but hey, I'm dropping off clothes, so whatever, good cause. I called to make sure I didn't show up with old clothes and look like an idiot. The gentleman on the phone confirmed they were indeed taking donations. I showed up, the store was active and even though two employees were working together on something on the register, I was immediately helped and unloaded the clothes at the donation rack. As I was leaving, another couple had just entered the store and we're greeted by a 3rd employee. Listen, I know I wasn't buying and can't speak to that experience, but the staff seemed engaged and attentive. Hopefully, Menswear House listens to the reviews on Yelp. I don't claim to know much about suits or shopping for them (this was only my second time buying a suit), but a friend had a good experience at a Mens Wearhouse in Miami, so I tried the one in Albany. It was a cold (slow) January night. I had a TERRIFIC experience. Instantly greeted by a truly lovely guy named Jonathan who couldn't have been more helpful, attentive, patient--and didn't do the pushy salesman at all. He listened to me, and to my budgetary constraints. Originally, I'd figured I'd scope the place out, then continue to shop around. But I was so pleased w/ Jonathan, I felt like there was no way I was walking out of that store without buying a suit from him. Incidentally, when I went back to exchange a belt and pick up the suit after tailoring, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I couldn't have had a better experience. Now, we'll see how the in-house brand suit holds up in terms of quality. But I'm psyched. Maybe I'm lucky, or maybe the place has done some training, but I highly recommend this store. read more

First I want to say that we had a good experience at this store for my older sons wedding. I believe that they worked with Shabir Mukhtar or his brother and everything went smoothly. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience at this store recently. My daughter-in-law made an appointment by phone with the manager Tom. We arrived on a Saturday evening at 6:00 which was our appointed time. We traveled approximately 60 miles because this store was convenient for many of the wedding party. We were purchasing 9 suites for a May wedding. Tom was visibly shocked to see us. He had not written down the appointment and then accused my daughter in law of saying that she was ordering Tuxedos not buying suits. Another gentlemen stepped in, while Tom went to check his calendar and said he would help us. Eventually Tom came back and the two men began to assist. Tom mentioned 3 or 4 times how he was trying to "help" my son save money. My son kept telling him that he was not trying to save money. He was getting married one time and wanted to have the best looking suit regardless of price. Tom then told my husband that he could not get the suit size he wanted, because he was the professional and if my husband insisted in a larger size, he would have to sign a waiver! My husband stated that he would sign the waiver because the suit was too tight across the shoulders. Tom stated "Who keeps their jacket on at a wedding anyway"? Similar circumstance also occurred with the Bride's father who was also told to get a jacket that was too small. The other man helping realized that my husband needed a Long jacket, not regular. This made all the difference, and the right size was ordered. We were almost forced to leave the store, during the jacket trying on, when Tom loudly asked my husband what my son's problem was? They were only able to make the sale because of the patience of my son and both fathers, after driving 8 people 1 1/2 hours to their store, we did not want to return home without ordering the wedding suits. read more
