I am writing my review for May Funeral home after it was purchased by the Folsom family. When my father passed away, we called May-Folsom to fulfill a pre-paid funeral contract that had been purchased earlier. In short, the experience could not have been better. We dealt primarily with Brian Folsom and Donna Arthur. Both were always professional, working with the family to see that the wake, memorial service and internment went off seamlessly. Like many public events, there is much work involved in the funeral process that goes on behind the scenes. May-Folsom anticipated every need, was always there during the wake, memorial service and internment, often not visible, but always there. Brian and Donna were easy to communicate with, quick to respond to my questions - in person, by email, or by phone. This section was established in 1752. This section has been sold out for many years, but lots "might" be available through resale. The "New Westwood Cemetery" section is on the west side of High Street. The first phase of this section was established in 1979, and the second phase of this section was established in 1993. I only walked through the Old side which is in very good condition. Well shaded, lots of trees and the markers are maintained except for a few vey old ones that have collapsed. One person to point out is Roger Ellis (1938-2008) who played four seasons professional football between 1960 and 1963 for the New York Titans. After retiring from football, Ellis worked as a United States Secret Service agent for Vice President Spiro Agnew. His parents George Merrill Ellis and Anna Thompson Ellis are also here in Westwood. The parking lot attendants screamed at serval of my guests to the point where they cried, and they physically banged on the cars while shouting insults at the drivers. When I attempted to rectify the situation with the general manager, he was very rude, dismissive and arrogant, telling us what Jews do and don't do, it was highly offensive. I would recommend this place to ANYONE and I wish I could go back in time and have the funeral service at the place across the street.
