Old Schools is probably the greatest pizza spot in Wellesley. There are a lot of awesome variety with slices, from New York style to my personal favorite, The Sicilian/The Grandma Slice/Detroit Style, a nice thick squate slice with sauce, cheese, and very tasty, so much so that I could eat a whole damn pie. The service is also great with a lot of nice staff and they always give out the best picks when it comes to their favorites. It can be packed sometimes but it's worth the wait. God, I love this town and its pizza. read more

This old-school Italian spot in downtown Wellesley gets points for fast service and a cozy vibe. The food, however? Good, but not exactly knock-your-socks-off amazing. I ordered the chicken parm sub, and while it was solid, I wish they had offered a smaller size--because I could only finish half, and traveling with leftovers is always awkward (no one wants to be that person on the plane with a bag of old pasta). I'm pretty sure the chicken was frozen cutlets, which explains the "just okay" feeling. Not bad, but definitely not something I'm dreaming about. Would I come back? Sure, if I'm in the area and starving, but I might skip the sub next time and try something else! read more

This place is a hidden gem in Wellesley, the most solid pizza I've had in the area. The killer is the mac and cheese bites (not pictured because I ate them so much. Paired with the marinara sauce, it's heaven in your mouth. All the pizzas are very good, I haven't had one where I thought it was bad. My favorite has to be good old pepperoni and margerita (pictured below). Large is honestly not that big - could be easily shared by two people so I would keep that in mind price wise. I've heard a lot about the pastas and sandwiches which I haven't had a chance to try yet but would love to at some point. The interior of the place is very old school and has a fun vibe to it, I enjoy eating there with friends when I want to meet up locally. read more

I had to laugh when I came across the name of this place - it certainly gets the point across, but didn't leave much for the imagination. That said, even with a decent distance traveled for my delivery order, the pizza was right up my alley, still warm and delicious. I stick to plain pizza and this held up with some of the better basic NYC slices I've had. I also had an order of cheesesticks that were pretty standard, but no complaints on my end. And what really surprised me is how much I enjoyed their chocolate dipped cannolis. I'm not necessarily a cannoli guy, but I downed this pretty quickly. read more

Ok on a vacation touring the East and looking at where We want our kids to go to school. We were hungry and saw pizza. We went in and what did I get a flavor kick to my mouth so fast and delicious I wanted to cry tears of joy. I've learned to just get the pepperoni. I don't know what it was the water the yeast the perfect combination of it all. The pull (bite) was awesome delicate with the right crunch baked to perfection. The sauce: I wanted to order the bowl it was ladled from so I could turn it into an IV drip. I needed it to be come a part of me. Not too sweet, you could taste the fresh herbs. The tomato tastes as thought it was crushed by hand. The cheese: mmmmmmmmm mmmmmmm mmmmmmm. Delivered in perfect proportions in every bite. So fresh it felt it was graded just for us. The pepperoni: The meat, only way I can describe it. It's having your cake and eating it too. I wanted a stick of it to take home and eat it on my ride as though it was a stick of Pure meat candy. It's a very stormy day here in Wellesley. Looking for some delicious pizza for my staff that made it into work. I was not disappointed. Your standard pepperoni and cheese. It arrived in a timely manner (even with the wether) hot. We added an order of fries just because. Again hot and Krispy. This is the first time for delivery. I usually pick up. I had an event with 100 students and Old School Pizza handled it with perfection. Placed the order online, and called the next day to change the delivery time. They got that right. and then they confirmed with me the morning of and I asked to change the order a bit (less pepperoni pizzas andmore cheese) and they got that right as well. Old School Pizza is a brand new business in Wellesley center. It's been in the works for months, and - being pizza fans looking forward to an alternative to the fraught-with-labor-issues Upper Crust chain - we sat on the edge of our seats waiting for Old School to open. We really shouldn't have. If for some reason, I was able to experience the food without the rest of Old School's atmosphere, it would be an okay-to-adequate choice. Once we finally got our small to-go order, we found our calzone to be a bit greasy, and torn open on one side, but it was also nicely cheesy and came with an extra container of sauce. That was the most positive part of the experience. The Old School Pizza décor is like a cross between Applebee's and TGI Friday's: intense, random, floor-to-ceiling bric-a-brac, blinding lights, and loud oldies music. Way too bright in there, seriously. We had to leave while we waited for our food, it felt like an operating room. They've got one of their speakers focused outdoors, so the passersby can also get a taste of the Old School experience. They've got framed posters, records hanging from the ceiling, the aforementioned oldies radio, plus a giant TV tuned to sports. One of those records was a picture disc of that Beatles' album (Yesterday And Today) with the band sitting in white butcher uniforms, smiling underneath a pile of raw meat and disembodied baby dolls. I don't know about you, but as I'm placing my order for food, I don't want to think about creepy, butchered baby dolls. Ugh. They've got some Wellesley memorabilia. Lots of sports items and autographed photos/posters. Blacklight posters, a hockey stick, a Christmas Story leg lamp, and a four-foot polyresin statue of a stereotypical Italian chef. On the upside, they've got tin signs, '80s toys, two old huge vintage gas pumps, and a jukebox, but it doesn't help the overall feel. Old School just looks like someone with an eBay obsession opened a pizzeria. They've also got a bunch of DVDs on the wall. Am I so old that DVDs are vintage? Come on. Old School's menu includes fries, onion rings, fried ravioli, chicken wings/tenders, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, macaroni and cheese bites, broccoli bites, sandwiches, pizza, salad, wraps, and a kid's menu including grilled cheese. They currently have some traditional Italian oversized chocolate Easter eggs in metallic cellophane for sale. Their open hours (11am-11pm, every day) are - when viewed separately - a welcome change from the typical Wellesley joint (being open past 7pm is too late for most venues). It took thirty minutes for us to receive one small calzone. I hope that this poor service is merely a side effect of it being a new business, because if they don't get their act together, that kind of service isn't going to fly in this town. I'm sure Old School will be popular with families, Wellesley kids, teens, Tweens, and anyone who doesn't get panic attacks from claustrophobic seating, customers, and décor. Certainly, there were tons of folks in this demographic running around in there when we went. If they had a maximum of one-third the items decorating the place, it would be nearly enjoyable. Particularly if it didn't feel like I was about to get decapitated by falling G. I. Joe dolls and LPs hanging by a (literal) thread. Best pizza in the area! I've been several times since moving to the area and have yet to be disappointed. One of the few places I've found that you can order by the slice. They always have a variety of pizzas ready to go, but with a quick re-heat in the oven first. The crust is thin and crispy, but the end of the pizza is soft and chewy. Great sauce and cheese ratio as well, and plenty of it. I have yet to try anything but pizza, but I certainly look forward to see what else they have to offer. read more

Happened to be working in the area this week and today I looked at reviews on the one bite app. Settled on this place. As you can imagine no line today. Somehow I ended up getting a steak and cheese instead of pizza(tomorrow I'll get some pie) Pricing is fair and average for the area. What's above average is the flavor. Best steak and cheese I've had in metrowest. I've tried at least 20 in the area and this one will have me back for more. Great service. Great food. Visited the Old School Italian Pizzeria, today 9/26/15. It's next door to Yogurtology and is Definitely old school. Which I really like. Modern places are nice too, but sometimes old fashioned places are better, and more known throughout a community. The staff here were all very friendly and you can see them making pizzas from the counter, which is really cool and more of an "old school" thing. The pizza I got was delicious and very italian as advertised..... much better than Papa Gino's or other chains. In Wellesley Center, on Route 135, near the Route 16 intersection. 5 stars... So I was dropping a guy off dooin Uber & I asked the guy what's good around here. He said , this pizzeria has the best pizza! And their subs are great. So I went in and got a slice of pepperoni. The slices are big! Like foldable big. Nice cushioned seating. I was talking with one of the workers /management and he hooked me up with another slice for a good customer discount of a dollar . Lost my order twice in a row. Ordered delivery the first time and somehow it was crossed out and changed to pick-up. After two hours and several calls later, the pizza was delivered cold as ice. I'm currently sitting in the restaurant waiting for my newest order, which I made a concerted effort to pick up this time, and the pizza wasn't made....hour + has gone by and the clock keeps ticking.... I went here for lunch with a friend a few weeks ago and it was great. The atmosphere was pretty cool in my opinion. Kind of cheesy, but fun, and even if it was cheesy, at least it's different from the 4+ other pizza places we have in town. The owner even came over to our table and introduced himself, told us a bit about the place, he grew up in Wellesley, some of the photos and memorabilia on the wall are his from his college days, etc. Always a nice touch. We each had a slice and it was good pizza, probably better than College Square was (but these are different establishments so I can't really compare them). The fries were okay, definitely frozen but it's a pizza place not a french fry place, and College Square had outstandingly unhealthy fries so those are hard to beat. Overall, clean, friendly, good pizza and inexpensive!, good looking sandwiches I saw other people enjoying, tempting menu for next time. I am interested to return and get take-out to see what else they have to offer. I think they've done a good job with the place and I'm glad it's not a nail salon or something because Wellesley center definitely needs a pizza place (Upper Crust is different). read more

Was looking for a place to have a quick bite before a concert I was attending and stumbled upon this place. I had never been here before even though I frequently am in Wellesley but I had heard about it. The decor is awesome. Posters of sports legends to Marilyn Monroe, signed football jerseys, and leg lamps. Real neat place. The menu is mostly pizza but they also have subs and the like. I got an Italian sub which was delicious. I wish I could have had enough time to order a pizza! Will be back read more

This is the closest thing to true NY Style pizza that one can find in Metrowest. They are even called "pies". (If you're form the NY Metro area, you'd understand). Somebody mentioned they couldn't eat the pizza because the crust was "floppy"... that's why you fold the slice. It's pizza, not cardboard. If you like NY style pizza, this is the place. If you like Greek style pizza (which seems to be every other pizza place) then this isn't for you. read more

This is the best pizza I've found in MetroWest, there are tons of places in a 10 mile radius selling 2 for $10 pizzas almost as good as ones in the freezer section at Roche Brothers, Old School uses better crust, sauce and toppings. The 4 cheese pizza has more flavor than any other pie around, get one made up fresh, buying by the slice is good but having one come fresh out of the oven for you is better. The decor has a lot of 80's memorabilia and wrestling stuff. If you are a fan of that era you'll get some laughs at stuff like the lamp from Christmas Story. Why anyone would make decor a major factor in rating a pizza place is beyond me. If you are looking for the best pizza, start here, if you need to have the lighting right for your dining experience, go hang with your buddies at CPK. read more

Will never order from this place again. Placed an order for delivery and received it almost 2 hours later after being told half an hour. To make it worse the food arrived cold and the chicken wings were undercooked (see pictures). Just hoping I don't get sick from the other food I ate as I had to throw away the chicken wings.
