Communication is none existent. I had a problem with my AC and contacted HPHC, spoke with a…read morerepresentative and gave her the specifics. She said she would put a work order in and I will receive a call back. That was Friday, August 7. I called back Saturday the eighth and left a voicemail. Never received a call back. I called back Monday, August 10 waited online while music played and then the phone hung up on me. Called back again and went into voicemail. Again, I left my information with expectations that I would receive a call back. Finally, I went to a competitor. Their communication was perfect. I was told they could have somebody at my house Tuesday or Wednesday. Only to find out through a phone call that they would send someone to my house Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The service man showed up on time and then one and a half hours my air-conditioning unit was running perfect communication perfect timing and perfectly executed. What more can a customer ask for. And by the way, I have been a customer of Harwich Port Heating And Cooling for 16 years. It just happens. I found another HVAC company that I can rely on. When in business one should remember the door you close will be a door someone else opens

I emailed him for the quote but I guess they did not want my business. This was a waste of his time and mine. I provide the sales rep with the other heating specifics of a competitive quote (without the price) I had already received. It seems that the company did not want to be competitive. The net result is I went elsewhere to get better service at a reasonable price. I wonder how they would be on providing service for regular maintenance and also in case of an emergency call.

Finally had it addressed after pictures, temp gun, and patience. Would have given a 5-star otherwise. Overall, I am happy with the mini-split system.

I got quotes and presentations from 4 different vendors and the pitch and price was exactly the same - hour long presentation and a $30k cost. However, what each vendor tells you is that IF you qualify a $10k rebate is available and your net cost is $20k. Essentially the rebate is a scam - it just gives contractors the ability to inflate the prices and use the rebate to make the system sound cheaper than it really is. I finally met with McIver and he was able to simplify the entire process. He is not a Mass Save contractor. So he does not work the rebate, just offers a strait-up cost to install the system. When he gave me his quote, I quickly figured out that Dan McIver was an honest man and that the whole Mass Rebate program was a scam. His quote with the similar equipment and the same number of mini-splits was $13,500. I hired him for the job and they started within a week. One of my biggest concerns was esthetics - I was worried about too many refrigeration lines running around the outside of the house. Our house is a rental property in Cape Cod that had a lot of charm to it and we did not want to ruin the integrity of it. Dan came up with a brilliant solution and was able to run most of the lines through the basement to minimize the lines on the outside of the house - we were so pleased with this solution. His team did a fantastic job building out the system - they were clean and finished the project on the timeline he quoted. The work was high quality!! Net is that Dan took a very complicated buying process and made it simple and affordable. He is highly recommended for the quality of his work, pricing and his honest and straightforward approach!
