    1/2 Brisket on Ciabatta Sandwich
    Dave E.

Stopped in for a quick bite after a day-long drive. I ordered an OTxB NE Hazy IPA n my wife ordered her regular Chardonnay. The IPA was okay as was the Chard. We delayed ordering to settle a bit ... there was no pressure as the place was late afternoon/early evening chill. I finally ordered lite, I.e., 1/2 brisket and a bowl of potato soup (I LUV their potato soup!!). My wife ordered the 1/2 Club on Ciabatta and salad. Both meals were exactly what we wanted.

We had their brisket nachos- brisket was good and it came with normal toppings (jalapeños and pico). I tried a lager that tasted like a lager. They did have a unique strip of frozen "ice" to keep your drinks on that was pretty cool; I'd never seen that. Good service but felt more like a restaurant for sure.

I was really impressed by this place. Their menu has something for everyone, and it was all really good. The service is great, very friendly. We sat outside on the patio. Overall, I liked it and would definitely come back.

My husband and I knew about downtown Burleson, but we were not sure about all the little treasures that we would find there. The Old Texas Brewing Company was very welcoming and very comfy looking! When I first walked in the very first thing I said was "I love the way this place smells!" my husband said it was barbecue, but I have no idea. We chose to sit outside in the front because we figured it wasn't going to be getting any cooler so we would do it while we could. A young very nice man approached us quickly and asked where we wanted to sit so he took us outside and said " you can choose any table you like". He was friendly and kind very attentive to our needs. Did multiple check backs and we never felt like we had to wait on anything. My husband had a salad and a half sandwich and it seems like enough to feed two people. I had shrimp and catfish platter and it was delicious deliciously evil in calories! We most definitely plan on going back.

My review for Old Texas Brewing from last week is gone ... disappeared ... or ran away, but it was a good review. LOL Old Texas Brewing has a lot to offer their customers. Large variety of dark and lite beer (their own brew) plus cocktails. The food was delicious, we had brisket nachos, and pretzels. What a combination, but they were very good and fortunately, I was enjoying it so much. I forgot to take pictures. The establishment is quite large. They've got a large dining area plus the bar and then they also have outside seating and also on the roof where they may have a local band play. Awesome atmosphere there was a lot of chatting, laughter and people just having a good time visiting other friends. We stayed till closing ! The waitresses were very nice and stayed on top making sure that we had everything we needed. Made me feel special. I highly recommend The Old Texas Brewing Company for your next date night or girls night out !!! The place was beautifully decorated inside and out, and the staff were on their toes ! Thanks Ladies and Pam, I had a great time. Let's do it again.

    Also my broken leg

I broke my leg at your establishment in Oct of 2024 while visiting for a wedding. I reached out to you personally with no response. Since then, my lawyer has been trying to get ahold of you for over 6 months. Certified mail, regular mail, and an email directly to Jamie Collier. Nobody has responded once because my lawyer and I am from WI. Im just hear to blast your names and let everyone know what kind of dishonest company you really are. JAMIE COLLIER is the person refusing to cooperate. Below are photos of my very broken leg which just finished healing April 15th. Additionally, the food was awful and slow to arrive. At least three team members rushed to me when I fell, stating they were surprised that no one else had broken their leg in thst same spot and that they had warned management of the potential danger.

The service was good and the brisket chips and cheese was pretty good! My sandwich was good, but slightly dry. The desert cheesecake was a 10/10

Met a friend here for dinner before heading to the Juneteenth celebration. I don't recall the server's name but she was thorough and checked in on us regularly. I ordered an apple Gorgonzola side salad as an appetizer and my friend ordered fried pickles. For my entree, I had the half size of brisket nachos and a frozen mango margarita to wash it down with. I was really surprised with the amount of meat was on the nachos. I did have to request more queso and wish that it had been seasoned. Overall, an affordable nice place to check out for lunch or dinner.

The dining room is separated from the bar area. It has 10' side walls and open, high ceilings. There's a couple of TVs in the dining room and a couple of ceiling fans. There's HVAC vents hanging down and there are 2 mini splits. It's nearly 100F outside and it's comfortable enough (not real cool) in here. Our server, Penelope, was quite pleasant. She was able to answer our food questions and give us recommendations. They use handheld order taking devices. I like that. I had a Shiner Boch to start and my wife had a Margarita rocks - no salt. Both drinks came out lightning fast. My beer was nice and cold and her margarita was real tasty and not too sweet. For dinner, I ordered the smaller order of Fried Catfish with a side. I had Tots. The fish filet was large, thin-battered, crispy and hot. The tots side was huge, crispy, hot and tasty. A great fried food meal. Took some of it home too. My wife ordered the Street Tacos. She was able to eat 2 of the 3 and she enjoyed them. Their homemade salsa was good and it had some heat to it. We brought her 3rd taco home. Pricing was fair. Service was great and fast. Good tasted great. We'll be back to the Break Room.

We bought our tickets to the event when we arrived. Tickets for tours are also available. After walking through the store and the rows of wooden barrels from floor to ceiling, you find yourself in a small area with a big bar. The event price includes one cocktail of your choice. I chose the Oh Peachy and later purchased a pecan old-fashioned; both were delicious! Unfortunately, the food truck broke down, so there was no food available!! Big Mike was performing in the big lodge room; the acoustics are pretty bad, especially once people start talking, but at least it was cool in there, We spent a lot of time in the store and ended up purchasing a fused bottle of whiskey to split. It was fun, deciding which cork stopper to get to add to my daughter's collection. The store has different sizes and shapes of a wooden court display boards; in the shape of Texas. I wasn't familiar with the area, but parking was incredibly easy thanks to their large parking lot. One of the first things I noticed was the beautiful patio area. The large double doors open up to a covered outdoor space with a fountain in the center. There is shade thanks to trees and umbrellas so this is a nice place to have brunch at. Inside, there were several long communal tables that seemed perfect for events and larger groups. I was also impressed by their events calendar and even spotted an upcoming event I'm planning to attend, which makes me excited to come back. On this visit, I tried a glass of wine and the giant pretzel. The pretzel was fresh, soft, and paired nicely with the wine. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the cheese dip. It wasn't bad, but I personally think a simpler cheese sauce would be better. I liked that there was a separate coffee shop area. It's a great option for anyone who wants to enjoy the space without drinking alcohol, making it feel welcoming to a wider variety of guests. Ps. They had a nugget ice machines and self serve water station I really liked that!

You order at the counter, you get a number to take to your seat(s), then servers bring you your food. You pick your own table, either indoor or outdoor. Our group of 9 ordered at around same time with 2 cashiers. Our food came very sporadically, one of us didn't get her salad & dish 30+ minutes AFTER everyone else started eating. We got the pizza we were sharing within 20 minutes after we sat down, BUT our salad didn't come until 45 minutes AFTER THE PIZZA! Now the food... Maple jalapeños bacon pizza was so good, with a kick. Prosciutto goat cheese pizza was ok, not enough flavor. Warm pretzel was soft & melted in the mouth, but the cheese dip had a bitter aftertaste. Cesar salad was loaded with croutons & Parmesan shavings. I personally loved a lot of Parmesan shavings, but could use a bit more lettuce & a little less croutons. The fries are good, nice & crispy. PORTIONS ARE PRETTY GENEROUS, you can definitely share a pizza & a salad with 1-2 other(s) depending on how hungry you are. 3 stars because disorganized servers & food is hit or miss.
