I like to try new places so, I can report to Yelp. This place has some pretty good prices and it was just a few miles from Turning Point Church so,my Boyfriend and I went here. It's a cute, cozy home that is renovated into a Restaurant. It has a large deck with large umbrellas.Most of the seats were filled because the weather was so great yesterday. Most of the seats were taken inside too. There was a little weight but we were seated pretty quickly compared to the crowd. The Porch serves Breakfast all day. They also have meals for Seniors and for people that want to eat light, like my self. You can get an entree and one side. I chose the Chicken Strips and Mashed Potatoes. The Strips were crispy and a good size. They were not greasy or dry either. I really liked how they were cooked. My Potatoes were short of salt so, I added some. My Boyfriend got three pieces of Catfish, which were large in size with Okra and Mac and Cheese. He said, he enjoyed it and would come back.I tried some of his Okra, that was crispy and seasoned well. Their sweet Tea is extra sweet too. Unfortunately, there's a 4% Processing fee. Husband and I decided to go out for breakfast and try something new. I have to be honest and say I've had better. I was really disappointed with the amount of egg in my omelette, it was basically all the meats with broccoli and bell peppers and some eggs, it was good but not what I expected. The coffee was okay it'll get you through part of the day but you'll definitely be needing something stronger later on. Service was really good and the staff was super friendly, which is why I gave it a three star the staff is what really impressed us. Ambience is your typical mom and pop shop it's small country and warm. I will say I was surprised not to really smell the food or the coffee while inside the restaurant, I found that to be weird, usually it's overwhelming at a small shop but this one wasn't too bad. Overall I wouldn't go back myself but I say if you have older parents or grandparents that want to go out for breakfast this is their spot! read more

These are the sweetest servers on the planet. I came in tonight to have dinner while my son was at a graduation locally, and I sat in the patio to listen to the live music across the street and they were so sweet and kind. I had a cranberry pecan salad and it was enormous and fresh I got a mushroom swiss burger to go for my son and he inhaled it and said Mkm we have to go back for another one of those! We live an hour north of burleson. The area is super busy ans trendy and very fun it seems we may have to come back soon and have another bite at the porch. So we wanted to try a new breakfast place today and thought why not go see what's in old town. Walked in and no one was at the hostess area. Over the course of about 5-7 minutes probably 5-6 different employees walked by me like I wasn't even there, only one said we'll be right with you and it was one of the last who passed by me. For such a small place I would have at least expected the people walking by to be like hey we'll be right with you! Anyhow we got seated and the food itself was very good. The orange juice was garbage, would never pay for that again. The ambiance of the restaurant is non existent. Definitely needs a refresh and some lessons on customer service. Had to pick up some items from Tractor Supply in Burleson. Figured...why not have dinner. Decided on Babe's because you know what you're getting. Mediocre food (use to be excellent!). Drove past, there was a line. Their food isn't worth waiting for. Drove around the block and parking was right by the Porch. I am SO glad to have tried this place. I wasn't original, ordered chicken fried steak and French fries. Pretty safe. My wife ordered chicken fried chicken and Mac and Cheese. Both were excellent. They brought wife mashed potatoes but offered to bring Mac and cheese in addition. Mac and cheese was fair, but mashed potatoes were great. We had the senior meal which was more than enough. My wife and I eat here on a weekly basis. We recently enjoyed liver & onions as well as Pot Roast. Savory, tender, and delicious. Service was excellent and the homestyle atmosphere, as always, remains family friendly. We left with desserts which we enjoyed the following day. THE PORCH IN BURLESON has been one of my favorite restaurants, great chicken fried steak and pie, 3 weeks ago I had a to go order for 2 CFS dinners, I enjoyed my meal up until the moment I found a rivet/screw in my mashed potatoes, I was pretty shocked, you hear about these kinds of things but don't expect it in your food, I could have choked or broken a tooth, I called several times and eventually spoke with Freddy the next day who offered me a replacement meal, which I wasn't in the mood for after this, explained I just wanted a refund, I will need to get past this before I ready to eat their food again, he said no problem I will take care of you, no problem! just refund my card I asked. didn't happen, I texted a copy of my receipt, still no refund after 3 weeks, acted like they didn't really believe me. for CFS from now on I'm going to Cotton Patch, the decor there is better anyway. read more

So we came across this little amazing place because Babes Chicken was closed on a weekday from 2-5 and I really wanted some mashed potatoes!!! Simple place, lots of locals, tidey, we were greeted very nicely by "Angela"? The manager who was very friendly! We ordered the chicken fried stake OMG so tender and full of flavors and you basically don't even need a knife and trust me it was that good!!!
