I took two older watches into this shop to see about cleaning and repairs. A large photo of our 47th US president was prominently displayed and the shop appeared to have the owner as the primary person working on clocks and watches, with a second person greeting customers. I was promptly greeted and I explained what I hoped could be done with the watches. The person who greeted me told me that it could be 9 months to up to 1 YEAR before the watch specialist could look at them. I asked about one in specific (a 1930s Omega watch) and how much that would be, and unsurprisingly that was estimated at between $150-250 for cleaning and any repairs. ok , the owner of this store is shady ...I've never met someone so greedy and dishonest. The guys a liar first off , took some gold jewelry in and he wouldn't even look at it, he just said "oh it's gold plated , it's not real" , but the next day I had my friend bring the same jewelry in and he gave her $400 for it, he's also involved in buying stolen merchandise I recently found out , better to just avoid this place read more

Went in there back in May 2025 to get an old watch repaired and was told "Can't do it. Too busy. Come back in about 9 months." Ok. So I went there today, February 2026, and got the same response. Except the guy told me essentially to not bother. "Too busy", he said, offering no alternative. Who does this? The sign out front says "Watch Repair", and there are several employees there, doing what I don't know. I was never in any hurry whatsoever to get this watch fixed and I told him that I didn't mind waiting. So after I did a quick check to assure that Candid Camera was nowhere in sight, I left. I really like the quaint shop and looking at all of their items in the case plus a huge selection of key wound wall clocks for sale. Late last year I brought in my broken watch for repair and it was well worth it! Since it is an expensive watch, I hoped that it wouldn't be too expensive to repair it. IT WASN'T! The gentleman who helped me told me it would take 5-7 business days and it only took 4. This year I brought in a table clock for repair. It was very inexpensive to take care of it, and again, the service was very prompt. I'm so glad that we have this little shop in our town! read more

Our Grandfather clock was in need of some love and attention. Since it had never been cleaned or adjusted in the 22 years that I have had it, and surly not since it was purchased by my parents in 1980. My clock wouldn't chime the hour, although it was keeping time. Our appointment was at 11 am, and at 11 am he arrived. I was surprised on how prompt he was! He proceeded to take the clock apart and advise us every step of the way on what he was doing and the possible problems. He cleaned and FIXED our clock. I couldn't have been more delighted with his friendly and professional manner. I would highly recommend this establishment. This is a homegrown and family loved business and it shows. Total rip off. My husband took my solid gold Omega watch to have one of the arms re- secured. I happened to be in the hospital at the time. The watch was waiting for me at home when I returned. The solid gold cabuchon had been stolen and replaced with a fake one that had a blue plastic ball on the end of it. When we returned to the shop obviously upset, the shopkeeper just simply stated that the watch had come in that way. We contacted police and they said it was a civil matter, meaning we would have to hire an attorney and go to court. This was theft, plain and simple. Beware! read more

My experience today 10/19/2020 was very much disappointing? I took two of my personal watches in for battery replacements. The owner said it would be $15.00 each, and proceeded to replace them. I have had several of my watch batteries replaced there thru the years at $10.00 each? When he finished the service, I asked him how much did you say that will cost - he answered me $30.00. I replied - I see you have had a 50% price increase after all these years. He replied, yes I have. I told him I thought a 50% price increase was rather a high increase. His answer was that he had previously only raised it to $12.00, with prices for his business supplies on the rise, I again told him 50% is a bit much from all my other visits? Then he proceeds to tell me with the COVID issues he just raised it from $12.00 to $15.00. After having been told that from him, the owner of this business, I wanted to share this information with anyone else that might agree with me, that he is taking an advantage of our situation in this pandemic we are all in together? We stopped in 3/25/13 to get batteries replaced in two watches. Not only did they accomplish this task efficiently, but they also repaired my watch from a problem created by the last guy who replaced a battery and damaged the face. For each action they took, they came out to the counter, explained what they were going to do, told me how much it would cost, and then got my approval. They had plenty of other walk-in business while we were there. What impressed me was that there were young people learning the trade--including customer service! I sent my husband with some things, one that he actually appraised and wanted to buy once before only to be told its not real? He wouldn't even look at our antique mantle clock that we wanted to sell, or have an idea what to ask for it. This guy is a horrible store owner and I hope he soon closes! JERK!! read more
