A woman buying a large bag of junk silver was being helped to her car by one of the workers when I arrived, and the staff of four was busy working behind the scenes. One of them found coin capsules that would fit my coins and I looked at some secondary market 1 oz silver rounds - purchasing one at only $1 over spot - which had me considering more! My neighbors, long-time residents of Grants Pass, recommended Burton as they know him personally. They trust his expertise. I had him look at two gold coins and a large cent. He was honest about their value and assessed them quickly, explaining why he would not get them graded. When my mom passed eight years ago, I was in this shop to sell off some gold scrap. That was a seamless experience that left me with a positive memory, trusting this place. This most recent experience just solidified my trust. I was promptly greeted and I explained what I hoped could be done with the watches. The person who greeted me told me that it could be 9 months to up to 1 YEAR before the watch specialist could look at them. I asked about one in specific (a 1930s Omega watch) and how much that would be, and unsurprisingly that was estimated at between $150-250 for cleaning and any repairs. I was not surprised by the pricing, but very surprised by the wait.

It was a good size order. I wanted to send about half of it back. Well I opened the packs to actually measure the strands and examine the products, so that pretty much voided everything. I bought a lot, so I got a discount and they'd probably screw me over for that. I am making necklaces for a children's hospital fundraiser. I am using semi-precious stone beads/freshwater pearls, nice glass. This is coming out of my own pocket. I would be ashamed to use these beads, let alone take the time to string them. I learned my lesson and paid the "stupid tax".

Upon entering the store there is an inviting vibe that makes you want to stay and look around. They play cool music, and the owner is cool walking around with helpful professionalism and down to earth friendliness greeting and always willing to help you as his pet cockatoo rests on his shoulders. The decks are priced awesomely. Total steal of a deal. A very cool skateboard shop I'm glad exists in Grants Pass.
