I was so nervous to get all the necessary alterations, including a major shortening due to my 5'2 stature. I was able to get that and alteration to shoulders of the gown which allowed it to fit perfectly for my special day. The quality of the work was excellent and the turnaround time was totally reasonable. The alterations cost $120, but it was well worth the investment because this dress is a once in a lifetime experience for me. The craftsmanship was excellent. I also appreciated the excellent customer service and the shop cat, Puma was a wonderful bonus!

So, I requested that the hem be kept the same width. When I picked up the jeans I informed her that the width was not the same and she stated that they kept the original hem. They did not. The hem is roughly two inches different from when they were purchased. In addition, my white jeans were covered in cat hair (they have a cat that roams freely) and stains. I could not be more un-impressed and will never be back to this place. Also, I did take it to another tailor and they told me that it ABSOLUTELY can be done and is called a euro hem. Ultimately, I ended up leaving this place with a bad taste in my mouth. When I got sized up and measured for my old suit, a blazer, and a casual button-down, everything was great. The staff was friendly, and Sarah did a nice job talking me through everything. I'll be real, it was ultimately a lot more money than I thought it would be. This place has a good reputation and I needed it done, so I rolled with it. You pay up front and then come back on the date they tell you. I'll say, a courtesy call that it's ready would've been nice as this is the kind of thing that easily slips the mind. Went in to get it, and noticed the button-down was still crazy long. Like, too long to wear. We had just sized it up a few weeks prior, and again, I remember it all clearly having had a positive interaction. I remembered the specifics -- at one point I thought the suggested length would be way too short, but we ultimately settled on an inch or so hemmed up. So I mention this, and whoever was taking care of me (not the same, friendly person from my first visit) was acting as if they'll make it all right, but noted it would be a new job. I.e., I'd have to pay even MORE than the $335 I'd already paid for the suit, blazer, and shirt taken in. I was surprised and was like, OK, but then it didn't sit well... again, I remember already going through this. That's where they left it. The way it came off to me was a half-assed, "Oh we just want you to be happy, so feel free to leave it with us and we can do what we said we were going to but charge you more for what we originally promised." Customer service matters, and you never want to drop a bag of money and feel dissatisfied, but that's where I'm at. I'm giving the courtesy of three stars again because the first half was a positive experience, and they ultimately got the suit and jacket right and on time. I respect that, but am disappointed to be right where I started with my shirt. Budget's already spent on alterations for the next couple years, and in my opinion, hemming it an inch to fulfill the original order shouldn't be a hill they die on. On to the next, and if you go here, I hope you get better resolution and customer service than I did.

She said they'd be ready in about two weeks. Two weeks later I stopped in and my jeans weren't done. The owner apologized saying she was a little busier than normal, but that they'd be ready in the next two or three days. No big deal - stuff happens. I couldn't stop in during the week, but said I'd stop in the next Saturday. When I came back my jeans still weren't ready. The owner explained that she had some rush orders, where people pay extra to jump the line, and that pushed my request back. I kind of get it, I mean make your money, but I followed the rules and I felt like I was being penalized. After a short conversation, the owner ended up hemming my jeans after I stepped out to run a few other errands, which I appreciated... and she did a really good job. I'm willing to try again because I don't want to give up on a good tailor, but I'll definitely discuss lead times and expectations when I return.

She confirmed that the total would be $30 for the two combined. I drove approximately 10 miles to leave them at her shop. My wife was informed that she meant $15 per leg. Which would add up to $60 for the pair of overhauls. When I complained that I was told differently, they acted like I should have know what they meant when it was priced to me. They were very rude, and acted like they could care less about my business. I felt like I was being scammed!!!! Would not recommend this company to anyone!!!!!!!!

I've sent two garments that had serious moth holes in them to Amazing Garment Repair. The work AGR…read moredid is, as their name suggests, amazing. They are thoroughly skilled in the French reweaving technique with such results that on the one garment I was unable to find where exactly they did the work -- the damage was fixed with nary a sign. The work on both garments -- both suit jackets -- was done in obvious places: the upper back on one and the right sleeve on the other. They were challenging jobs and they are completely fixed. The turnaround time was quick respective of the skill and expertise that is required for this method of fixing. And the pricing is beyond reasonable. Listen, I hope I never have to contact these fine people again. But I rest assured that should I ever have another moth problem, it won't be the "end of the world" because the talented ladies at AGR will be there to . . . ahem . . . patch things up. I highly recommend AGR to make your holes whole again!

I brought my grandfather's old military jacket in hopes they could repair it. His health was…read moredeclining and my family would have liked to display it at his funeral. Unfortunately, they were not able to deliver the jacket to me by the original deadline, due to a lack of the required materials. As much as I wish the jacket could have been ready when my grandfather passed, I was comforted by the quality of the repair when I finally did receive it. Although I was promised a discount because of their inability to complete my repair on time, the discount was small and relatively meaningless compared to the total cost. This left a bad taste in my mouth and the experience as a whole soured me towards ever wanting to use their services again. I mentioned as much in a negative review on this site shortly after returning home. Upon submitting my review, I was contacted in less than 2 hours by the owner, who apologized for my experience and offered me a full refund. Even after giving me all of my money back, she never asked me to take my review down, which spoke volumes of her character. Because of this, I have edited my review and rating. The final marks: Customer Service: 2.5/5 stars due to poor communication surrounding the delays. Quality of Repair Work: 5/5 stars
