I love this place! They are hands down the nicest pawn/jewelry shop in town. They will save your items for over a year and never pressure you ever. I've also purchased diamond earrings and necklaces here and the quality is quite impressive. They know about the jewelry they carry very well. They also have selections of guns as well. THE best place in town for old pawn and amazing jewelry by First Nations artists. New or vintage, they probably have what you want -- even if you didn't know what you were looking for when you walked in. The entire staff is SUPER friendly and incredible helpful. They are prejudice and have policies to discriminate here. Have a policy where people under 25 cannot buy certain merchandise. Blatant ageism. Negative stereotyping. I'm not under 25 but the policy is nonsense. The workers were nice, but I'd advise shopping somewhere else where they don't discriminate against people of the general public. That's not ok and I don't know what kind of other nonsense prejudice and dis they hold. Update: the owner feels entitled to their discrimination and stereotypes. If you want to be cheated and lied to, this is the place to go. This place ruined my $150 watch and then flat out refused to accept responsibility. They stripped the screws so badly that no one else will work on it. When I confronted them, they simply denied it. The entire staff was defensive and immediately began denying any wrongdoing and trying to blame others, including me. It seemed so natural, like they'd done this before. ALSO, while I was there a woman came in to complain that they'd had her watch in for repair for THREE MONTHS and no one ever called her. The sign on the outside says "1 Day Repair." I'd laugh at the ridiculousness of this if they hadn't just totally destroyed my watch. read more

We were visiting Albuquerque, and planned to shop for native crafts. We brought along a Zuni bracelet purchased elsewhere, hoping to find a way to prevent it from falling off a small wrist. For $16, their skilled jeweler, referred by a local merchant, attached a small chain, using a cold-laser method, and saved the day. Everyone in the shop was warm and helpful, and would not let us leave until we were completely satisfied. They told us that they frequently receive requests to repair Native jewelry, from folks who live out of town, and who mail their items, insured, by USPS, for a nominal cost. The repaired jewelry is returned by the same method. We learned that local jewelers, familiar with Indian craftsmanship methods are more skilled than those who do not commonly repair this type of jewelry. it would have been very easy for this shop to charge us a much higher fee, but they were down-to-earth and honest. They already have the trust of local jewelry merchants; now they have the trust of strangers as well. read more
