I love it here. After a handful of times being here my thoughts about it have never changed- I grow to enjoy it more and more. It's in a plaza right next to Mystic Aquarium- the parking lot is a nice size but can get packed in the front so go around back and there's TONS of parking. There's shopping for everyone here. From random items, to themed items, treats, snacks, food, Knick knacks, jewelry, sunglasses, home items and so much more. It gives me hippie vibes and I love that. All the employees in the shops are just so sweet- never ran into a bad one. I enjoy walking around here every single store front has something in it, it's not a dead area with random shops closed. It's pretty much always busy, but doesn't get so crowded you have anxiety. I have brought my mom here a few times and she also enjoys it. We spend half a day here and grab something to eat as well. You might want to plan to spend at least 3/4 hours here. Take it all in. The prices can be on the more pricier side for stuff- but that's location. Have fun! read more

I love visiting Olde Mistick Village whenever I'm down by Mystic. There are so many cute shops and vendors here, it's definitely a great way to spend a few hours. I recommend shopping, then eating, and then doing more shopping. I somehow always end up getting tea or coffee to go from one of the shops, and also recommend getting one to treat yourself. This was our first time visiting Olde Mistick Village and we absolutely loved it! An adorable little outdoor shopping village, this walkable space has an abundance of little shops to choose from and explore, everything from boutiques and sporting goods shops, to specialty food shops and novelty stores. There is truly something for everyone while not being too big and overwhelming. From everything I visited here, my favorites are probably The Cloak and Wand (a Harry Potter inspired shop and cafe) and the Pepper Palace (which we regularly visit at other locations). Definitely can't wait to visit again when back in the area! read more

Always fun to visit the village and browse through the cute shops for ... well, a lot of things, from Harry Potter wands (really!) to kitchen supplies to clothing and even snacks. It;s a delightful pace to wander around; the pathways are easy and convenient to access and there's lots of shade (important in summer). Never have figured out how and why Christmas stores exist, but that's just our problem. There's one here which has a whole lot of Christmas-themed goodies -- and Halloween stuff(?). The staff who run these stores have been unfailingly friendly and helpful to us. It's free to wonder around, and there's of free parking around. What's not to like? read more

This open aired shopping plaza is a gem. Even though it looks like it's from the 18th century, it's actually more modern than that (built in the 1970s). It's on 19 acres; there is a duck pond, gazebo, shops, cinema, and restaurants. The walking paths are easy to navigate and pet friendly. Here are some shops that cross my mind: - Alice's Haunted Little Book Shop -Pepper Palace - Becca Rose -Cloak and Wand Restaurants: -Mango's Wood Fired Pizza -Jealous Monk We liked it so much, we went 3 times during our weekend staycation. Once was in the evening right after they closed, just to get our steps in. I love that they extended their hours during the summer. They also host events, have free parking, and restrooms throughout. Wow after having brunch we walked around the shops in Old Mystic Village! Bella Rose is amazing, if you go ask for Cindy, not only is she sweet but she really knows what makes a difference. I spoke with her about my husband's sinus issue and she gave me these patches! He loved them and it helped! Garlic festival in Mystic. So many cars, however, so much free parking so no issues finding a place to park. 16 musicians all around the village - guitar, fiddles. So much fun. There were of course garlic sellers & a nice self items from various artisans. We've been to the village previously, but it had been a while. We will definitely go back when there is a festival to check out all the shops. And the shops are not the 'regular' shops you'd find in a mall. I noticed a lot of well behaved dogs there too - we left our dog home, but maybe we will bring him next time. From a map store to a magic shop. With general stores, food & kitchen shops scattered around. And many restaurants. An amazing donut shop, great fudge from the general store, and finally finding a ceramic garlic keeper from the kitchen shop. The festival was crowded, but not overwhelming. A popular area with boutique shops, themed stores, restaurants, desserts and an aquarium. I enjoy going here once every season as they decorate and hold special events. My favorite shops are the Alice in Wonderland Tea Shop and Bookstore for their whimsical decor. I also recently discovered Pop Block, a popcorn store with any flavor imaginable. The location has ample parking with multiple lots. You can spend a few hours here. They are also very dog friendly here. Shops employees are friendly. We stopped by Olde Mistick Village for a morning last weekend when we were visiting Mystic. The shopping center is one of the most charming I've ever visited; it's designed like to look like a 18th-century New England village, so each building is cute and beautiful. And there were so many unique and wonderful shops - a horror bookshop, a magic shop with a potion bar, a cooking shop, a honey store, etc. - and restaurants and bakeries, too. Yes, it's a shopping center. But this one is worth visiting if you're visiting Mystic - come for breakfast and stay for a bit of shopping! read more

Over 50 shops. Loved it all and best part it's open year round. Ton of parking. Live music entertainment. Animal friendly. . I believe our favorite places was the honey bee shop and the Cloak and Wand shop and not because of their wands but because of their delicious hocus pocus drinks. Well, it's a tourist trap. But I love tourist traps! There are a ton of outdoor shopping villages just like this one all over the country, and it succeeds at what it aims to do. There's plenty of gift shops and mediocre eateries to beckon tourists to part with their money, but at least it is well maintained and very nice to walk around. I liked that a lot of shops have their own statues and figures outside (such as the gnome I photographed, and there was also a large dragon statue elsewhere). If you've got time to kill it's worth taking a walk around. I'm sure you'll find something cute to spend a few bucks on. read more

Did not realize how extensive this shopping area is. We have driven by many times and never stopped in. Nice paved walking paths throughout good for strollers, walkers and wheelchairs. Very nice village vibe with a small duck pond and Little Free Library. Gift shops, ice cream, home goods, jewelry, restaurants and mmore. A really good spot for window shopping. Plenty of parking all around the outer perimeter. Definitely will be back with out of area guests. read more

5/21/24: Love stopping in Olde Mistick Village. The village has charming stone pathways leading into some very unique shops and cute restaurants. A couple of cute shops to check out: 1. Bestemors Scandinavian Shop- Picked up a beautiful German Beer Stein here. Reviewed in '23 with pics. This shop has a wide selection of European items at a decent value. 2. Sticky Situations- Great place to try many wonderful honey varietals (minus the booze). Reviewed in '24. Several cute restaurants: 1. Toast and Tonic-.Delicious brunch, booze and dessert items. (Upcoming review) 2. Jealous Monk- Great beer hall, local wines, tasty burgers and fries. Indoor and outdoor seating at both places. Stopped in and reviewed in '23. A large parking lot is available. I've been here a few times and there are many new stores since the last time!! I'm impressed the Harry Potter shop, the haunted bookstore, the various Knick knack shops, the lil free library, and the many restaurants! I think they were having some kind of event today... it's a Saturday and the hours for most/all places indicate that they are open until 6pm in the summer and it was 6:40/past 7pm and all the places we wanted to go in still had their doors unlocked! We ended up going somewhere nearby for Shawarma but I'd highly recommend walking around if you find yourself wanting an outdoor place to walk around on a sunny day! read more

All the little shops are so charming & beautifully maintained. Olde Mistick Village is located not far from the I-95. There are plenty of parking spaces. It is a shopping center with various shops and dining options. I enjoyed walking around here. There was even an old mill with ducks swimming around. I bought a few items from Sticky Situations, got drinks from Alice in the Village, donuts from Deviant Craft Coffee & Donuts, and had lunch at Jealous Monk. There are a lot of free samples too! Definitely stop by Olde Mistick Village if you are passing by. It's worth it! read more

We just came here for a little stop over from Newport. Glad we did. Not an ordinary shopping area... it resembles an old village complete with a church and a pond! Very charming place. Parking is free & restrooms are clean. We had lunch & ice cream in the area too. Lots of restaurant, coffee spots & dessert option. Hate the mall and shopping but enjoyed looking at the merchandise here. Mostly specialized gifts, unique souvenirs ,mostly hand made & locally sourced. I bought a few things to be given as gifts! If you've never been before, you'll probably like it. It's not like it was years ago though... a lot of the stores were less "individualized" than they used to be, and were expensive. It was decorated very pretty for Christmas too. It's worth checking out, but probably not worth a multiple hours drive if needed. Last night I stopped by Olde Mistick Village before my boyfriend and I's dinner reservations at a restaurant near by. Olde Mistick Village is an open air market space that is great for the family (and pet friendly) located right by Mystic Aquarium. It is home to 8 dining options, almost 30 shops, and a theatre. The shops include hand crafted gifts, high fashion accessories, home essentials, as well as souvenirs. They host different events within the village as well - this weekend they have hand carved ice sculptures around the shops and live demonstrations of the sculptors at work. Pretty old timey shopping center. Clearly designed for tourists to the area and located right by the famous aquarium, there is enough here to keep you busy for ~2 hours. Just browsing around is pleasant, and my toddler was a big fan of the duck pond. There are a few restaurants located on property which seem to have decent reviews online. There was a new restaurant (Amalfi) that also looked more promising. The issue I have is style vs substance. Most of the shops themselves are kind of lame. Real antique store was closed. Lots of redundant places. Magic/spiritual shops sound good in concept as I loved these others places (ie: Cali) however they're full of tourist stuff versus anything legit. Kitchen store was good but overpriced. Other than novelties there is nothing truly worth a visit. This is fine as an add-on for the aquarium, but otherwise I wouldn't center a trip on this place. read more

I really enjoyed this quaint shopping center. We stayed across the street in the Hilton--so the convenience was great. We ate breakfast at Bleu Squid Bakery and Breakfast Cafe. We had a great breakfast there. Then I went to Mara Luna's Children's Boutique--which has all kinds of fantastic baby and toddler clothes and accessory options. I found items at Mara Luna's for a baby in the family. These were adorable baby items that I haven't seen elsewhere! This center is great, and I'll be back on my next trip to Mystic!! read more

Plenty of parking and close to the aquarium. We parked here first, went to aquarium and came back to the village to walk around and have lunch. Super cute location with several small businesses that sell unique trinkets and items native to Mystic. I didn't buy much but it's a great place to walk around and enjoy nature. Ok so this is a bunch of little stores that are in a village. It is cute and quaint. I went yesterday and there were some beautiful ice sculptures all over the place that was very cool and unique. For the most part this whole place is very accessible. Some stores a wheelchair can't get into. Isles are to small and they cram so much stuff into the small space as they can it makes it hard to move. One store my wheelchair got stuck on what I think was a hidden cabinet door. They had a lot of different unique stores. Like a jerky store where I got some kangaroo jerky and a jerky that is hotter than the Carolina reaper. There were some stores that are based on nationally that were very nice. There was a wand store. A few jewelry stores, an anime store. We bought some drinks and some unique cakes. We went to a unique Alice themed drink store. And right next door was an abstract bookstore. It is a fun little place to go. Be prepared to spend money. Right next door is the aquarium. Will be hitting that up next time. While you are here do no not waste your time going to the Applebees near by they suck! Go on a warmer day or when the wind isn't blowing so much- lol. Oh and don't forget to grab some fudge from Franklin- yummy. read more

Olde Mistick Village is super cute and quaint! We were in the area for a planned visit to the Aquarium and decided to have breakfast at Bleu Squid. There was a bit of a wait, so we walked around the village and then walked around the village some more after breakfast. They have a bunch of cool little artisanal stores with very interesting products. Sticky Situations sells a ton of different honeys and their tasting method is absolutely great for minor germaphobes like me. Bestemor Imports was one of my favorite stores because it's Scandinavian-themed and I am a sucker for gnomes. They had so many gnomes, it was hard for me to just pick one. If you're looking for a solid Mystic ornament to take home and add to your tree, Sofia's Mystical Christmas is one of the best. We saw a ton of locals there in addition to tourists like us, so I think it's a great place for just about everyone. read more
