This is a second location of Mystic Knotwork. This brand is family owned and founded in 1957. We walked by it and I had to stop in. I love the sailor bracelets and think it's a beautiful classic accessory. This store is in a cute building that has a small lighthouse design on the exterior. There were an array of items to choose from. Whether you're buying items to decorate your home or accessories to wear. There are classic bracelet styles to ones with a hook or anchor. For home, there are coasters, wreaths, and more. There are keychains, pet toys, etc. We enjoyed shopping around the store. We bought two bracelets and an anklet. There was a person making these items in store. It's well crafted and lovely; there were many colors to choose from too. If you're in Mystic, it's worth a stop to get a souvenir there! read more

Really, a knot store? Them my wife in excitement exclaims "Yes!!" Apparently this is something that has been going on for years where you get a knot bracelet or anklet and wear it throughout the entire summer. At the end of summer you cut it off leaving only the tan line behind as a memory of another summer past. This store has every color and size you can imagine and if they don't have it, they'll simply make it for you right then and there. The staff is amazing. The owner made my NY Mets bracelet and let me know that this store is generational and not a chain. Bracelets & Anklets vary in price from $7-12.50 as the get more intricate. They also have a ton of other knot work products like dog toys, table stuff, etc. Overall, this place is a must see if in Mystic. read more

Mystic Knotworks is an adorable little store that sells knots, yes the ones you tie! They sell everything from doormats, to keychains, to cat and dog toys, baskets, and so many bracelets. Everything is made by tying a differnt type of knot, using different types of rope or cord. And of course everything is made by hand! You might even find the store associates working on a craft while you're in the store. The bracelets are their best sellers. They come in a huge assortment of colors, from very thin to very wide, to everything in between. If for some reason you don't find your favorite color, or combo of colors in your preferred width, they can make it for you, while you're in the store. Everything is very appropriately priced. The bracelets average at around $8 and the doormats at around $50. It is a lot of fun to walk through and see everything that can be made by hand. They even have a book that was written by the store owner, Matt Beaudoin that's a guide on knot tying. Cute store, sweet people, and well made products! Any knotty handicrafts, you can find in this space. Looks like they are mainly focused on doormats, dog leashes, bracelets, and coasters. I did buy one of the candles, which unfortunately didn't smell like anything, but that's not one of the things they make, so just skip those and stick to the rope work. I appreciate that you can feel the local Mystic sailor vibes in their store. read more

When in Mystic you must make a visit to the Knotworks. I remember wearing my knot bracelet as a kid we didn't have all the color choices they have now. The great thing about this shop is the friendly staff. If you don't see what you're looking for they can help you find it or they will make it for you. You pick the style and color. My little ones picked out already made options and I had a custom whale tail bracelet made. It didn't take her more than 10 minutes. They also make keychains, door mats, front door knot wreaths and baskets. They also can make Knotworks boutonniere's for your groomsmen if you're planning on getting married. This is a summer must in my opinion. It was when I was a kid and I plan on continuing the tradition with my girls. read more

I love this place. We stopped in while walking around Mystic and I was wowed by all the products. They have really pretty accessories and I ended up picking up several keychains - one for my keys, one for my AirPod case, an ornament for our tree. I really wanted a very specific bracelet but the S was too tight and the M was too large. They made one for me in under 30 minutes. Amazing service and super nice and friendly staff. We visited both locations - the bigger one off the main street had the sweetest store doggo. The doggo was legit the highlight of X's trip, because we were able to pet the dog. read more

Perhaps one the must unusual stores on the East Coast, this store certainly desires a look. The premise is simple: take high-quality rope and tie/weave functional items/works of art. They've got it all, and in this knot crazy store, you can find such items as intricate floor mats, bottle stoppers, dog toys, picture frames, bracelets, and baskets. Of course, I have only scratched the surface of the items the offer, and the craftsmanship in each item is truly something at which to marvel. The only issue here is that some of the items at a bit pricy, for instance, a $200 price tag on a door mat was a bit high for my taste. However, they do sell cool bracelets for just $5 (bought one for my nephew) and a set rope coasters was very reasonably priced. Other than that, this is a fantastic store and a must see while in Mystic. read more

This place is incredible! Stop in even if you don't think there's anything you will want to purchase. They've made things by hand for like 100 years and are there working on crafts right in the shop from open to close. If there's something you see that you want in a different color, they will make it on the spot! They do have expensive (but worth it) home items, but also really affordable bracelets, keychains, ornaments, and other small accessories. Don't take the neighbor who's getting your mail while you're on vacation a gross box of fudge, get them something cool from this shop! Would also recommend for small secret Santa type gifts or a tie-on for a housewarming gift or bottle of wine. This place is so wonderful. They have everything from keychains to wreaths. You can get bracelets or even earrings. My family decided to get a rope wreath, and we are glad we did!
