This place is terrible. uncomfortable furniture, unhelpful management, and expensive as hell for 10+ year old apartments. have overnight guests over? they'll tow their cars. Leave items the last tenant left in your apartment when you move out? they'll charge you an arm in a leg in cleaning fees. black mold (allegedly) in most apartments. WiFi sucks so it is terrible for students which is their main consumer base. constant plumbing issues. poor ventilation. holes in ceilings. If I could a 0 I would but the only saving grace is the student staff working at the front desk. All in all only live here if it's temporary or It's your last resort. read more

Stay away from this place. Lots of crime takes place in this area. My car got broken into and tires were slashed. The apartments themselves have a SERIOUS mold problem (toilet was literally pitch black with mold when I arrived, the fridge meanwhile looked it was snowing there was so mold in it). The residents who do live here are constantly causing all sorts of trouble. This includes but is not limited to smoking indoors, excessive drinking, excessive noise all hours of the night, and worst of all, drugs. When complained to management about all of this, they didn't lift a finger. They just told me it wasn't their problem. They also have hidden fees that they conviently forget to tell you about. On top of the normal rent you also have to pay an extra $82 a month for electricity. The internet is also complete junk. Constably breaking down and they don't even let you plug in your own routers. I'm certain they'll write a response to this review saying they apologize for all the trouble I went through. Do not pay any attention to it. They're only doing so just to save face. The Internet was upgraded in May/April and on the internet speed test I got 700MB/s. The price is good too it is expensive but comes with utilities the only bill you have to pay is rent and electricity bill. read more

1. INTERNET SERVICE IS PROVIDED HERE, BUT IS SHOTTY AT BEST! I have had to leave my apartment in order to complete assignments, and submit classwork. The internet has completely went out for hours at a time. 2. ROOMATE MATCHING IS AWFUL! Staff promises to pay close attention to the survey you fill out about your studying habits, cleanliness, hobbies, etc. However, it is most likely they will stick you with whoever they feel like.I've had to switch apartments twice because of either a roommate so messy it violated public health, or a roommate so irresponsible they constantly lost their keys and ended up leaving the patio/front door and windows unlocked all the time. WORST OF ALL, Olde Towne has failed to inform me MULTIPLE TIMES, about a roommate moving in. PARKING IS LIMITED AT NIGHT! If you live in the back of the complex, you are not finding a spot close to your apartment after 8 pm. You will most likely have to walk from the very front of the complex, and the courtesy officer is often missing in action in case you wanted a safe escort to your apartment. 3. THE APARTMENT THEY SHOW YOU DURING THE TOUR WILL BE DIFFERENT FROM THE APARTMENT YOU ACTUALLY MOVE INTO! Layout, style, and furniture all vary. It is a game of chance rather than knowing exactly what you are getting. I have lived in three different apartments in different locations around the complex. My first apartment was well insulated and held heat and air very well. However, my current apartment does not hold either and I am burning up in the summer, and freezing my butt off in the winter. 4. MAINTENANCE CONSTANTLY ENTERS YOUR APARTMENT! You will be notified when maintenance will be entering your apartment. This usually ranges between three to four weeks, so you basically just know they will be showing up at anytime in the next month during office hours. When they do show up, they will bang on your door as hard as humanly possible, and enter before you even have the time to get up and let them in. Also, when they install HVAC system filters, they will most likely be installed incorrectly which can lead to bad air quality. Lastly, I have had maintenance show up a few times, out of the blue, early in the morning during my usual shower time or when I am trying to sleep in. Not a great start to the morning to say the least. 5. THE TRASH COMPACTER WILL BE OVERFLOWING WITH TRASH OFTEN! This one is simple, you will show up to the compacter, and there will be a mountain of trash in front of it. You leave your bag, because there is nothing else to do with it. Then, staff will probably threaten you with a $25 dollar fine for not placing your trash bag in the compacter. 6. RANDOM CHARGES WILL BE PLACED ON YOUR ACCOUNT! This has happened several, and when I ask about the charges I am usually given a confused response, or am being charged for something ridiculous. Upon transferring apartments, I have been hit with random application fees even though I had already paid this upon initially applying for the apartment. I also have been fined for my roommate leaving her personal trash bag outside our apartment. Maybe if there were surveillance cameras around the property there wouldn't be so much confusion about this, and the right person could be fined instead of everyone living in the certain apartment where trash is found. 7. PAINT, FURNITURE, AND BLINDS ARE CHEAP AND EASILY DAMAGED! Pieces of the blinds will crack and fall off just from opening and closing them. If you put command strips or scotch tape on the wall, it will rip off paint and pieces of the wall when you try to remove them. My toilet has broken multiple times just from flushing it. 8.YOU WILL BE CONSTANTLY HARASSED TO RENEW YOUR LEASE! I have been bombarded with phone calls, emails, and texts almost weekly for the past several months about renewing my lease. Even if you tell someone personally from the office you are not interested, THEY WON'T STOP. In conclusion, Olde Towne University Square is a SMALL step-up from living in the dorms at the University of Toledo (you have a private bedroom and bathroom). I would suggest living here to college freshmen/sophomores. However, if you are an upperclassman at UT, or simply are not in college at all, you can do better. read more

It's overpriced and they take forever to fix things after you put in a work order. Washer and dryer barely worked and the parking is awful. It's so hard to find a spot and you can't have overnight guest or they will get towed. Also I was told my rent was $550 a month then suddenly after I came back from christmas break it had increased and they make you pay for full months even though you can't move in/move out yet. Whole place is a joke and waste of money. They don't care about you at all, only the money. The only thing that's nice is proximity to campus and the rooms and bathrooms are nice but all in all not worth the money or hassle. read more

You're safe from most issues. Been terrible service over the last 3 years. However it is now under a new manager so things could change. The proxy cards always have issues so getting into the gym late at night or early morning is tough. Prices are pretty spendy so people will stay a year and leave often times to find a cheaper furnished place. It's nice because it's local and on campus. read more

Olde Towne is a nice place to live. It's pretty pricy but for all the conveniences is half way justified. What doesn't justify the price for this place is the parking and the internet. If you live in the back 2 buildings past 7pm forget about finding a parking spot near your apartment, you will have to park in the front of the complex and walk across the complex to get to your apartment. Secondly the internet is absolutely horrible. If you do not have unlimited data and hot spot on your phone, better go upgrade your contract. You cannot do homework online because how terrible the internet is. If you play video games forget about it, it took me over 3 hours to download little over 1 gb of the game (I'm not exaggerating). Other than those 2 things it's an okay place but not worth the price and mainly the headaches. read more

Would give them 0 stars if I could. This place is a straight joke. They charged me twice for rent one month and then tried to evict when when I cancelled the second payment. They say they have a pool but it is always closed and the grill is broken. The basketball court has been locked since I moved in last year. The only nice people who work here are maintenance. DO NOT get a 1 bed. They don't tell you the sq footage on purpose. It's tiny and wayyyyy over priced. The boards on the steps outside are broken along with the rails. It's very unsafe here. They don't have security cameras so when my car got egged there was nothing I could do. When I moved in, the couch was ripped and the paint of the walls is cracking off. I've lived at olde towne for almost two years now and have liked it so far. The maintenance crew is the abolishes best, and always help out quickly. Their pet policy has gone to sh*t however since they don't seem to care anymore about what dogs get let in. They claim to have a 35 lb limit but you see every single time of dog and a million pit bulls which are a restricted breed. Pretty annoying. They also claim to "match" you with a roommate but throw literally anyone in there. My new roommate didn't even know I had a dog till he moved in. How do you not tell someone that? Don't move here. Terrible service to tenants - management is rude, unhelpful, and useless. The ROOM you will be living in is overpriced and tiny. Dirty when you move in and when you move out, you're expected to clean everything and if not, you're charged unjustly. They extort money from students and I suggest you find an apartment - there are a lot in downtown Toledo that are much cheaper and bigger than this place. Amenities they advertise here is a joke. this place used to be good until it went under new management. Located in the gettho neighbourhood, so dont be surprised if your car is missing from property or being broken into. I would not recommend Olde Towne. Maintenance is very slow and not understanding. My apartment had a mice nest and several mice holes throughout and maintenance was not concerned. A couple days after putting in a work order they finally came to put up mouse traps. However, when mice were caught they said "they had more important problems to deal with than a dead mouse." You would think when you're paying over $600 a month they would deal with this health hazard in a better manner. read more
