Massive selection of candy and treats. I didn't realize how big this place was until I wandered around to the back on my second visit. The store consists of a counter at the front where you ask a clerk to weigh and give you product(s) such as brittles and caramel. But, around the back, there's another section where you can browse in pails, bins and racks full of popcorn, candies and treats. The products in the back are either prepackaged or in bulk. It's self-serve if you want to buy bulk candies. Behind the counter are various contraptions that are evidence that SOME, but not all, of their treats are made fresh on a regular basis.

Did I really need the add 2 more chocolates to fill this box? I was missing 2 peanut butter cups anyways.

No windows, no window display, place is very un-welcoming if you don't know it - I assume the front door opens in the summer though. No free samples. We tried the Mango chocolate and absolutely loved it and went back the next day and got 2 variety boxes to try. Salted caramel was very strong, coconut very weak, mango 10/10, mint too weak, sake - tastes like those alcoholic chocolates, tiramisu and coffee one were 10/10, strawberry good, lemon basil could have been more lemon less basil. Overall the texture was 12/10 the best. Boyfriend is very excited to order these online from their website for tasty Christmas presents.

One of the shop owners greeted us and gave us some recommendations and we decided to try those as well as some other flavors we were eyeing. Every flavor they offer is rich but not heavy at all, with just the right amount of sweetness in each chocolate truffle bite. I didn't find any of the truffles overpowering at all, very balanced and in just the right amounts to satisfy your chocolate cravings. The sake hot chocolate reminded me of a chocolate-y amazake they serve in Japan, it was really good, I haven't been to a place that serves a hot chocolate like this, so hoping they'll have this next year as well. Will definitely be back to grab more! 〇【Menu Items Ordered & Rating Details】 ・Salted Caramel, $3.99 ・Milk Tea, $3.99 ・Earl Grey Dark Chocolate, $3.99 ・Yuzu, $3.99 ・Matcha, $3.99 ・Hojicha, $3.99 ・Sake Hot Chocolate, $4.99 (Ttl: $28.93 CAD (tax excl.)) 〇【Food/Drinks: 4.0】 ・Good variety of chocolates to select from in different forms. 〇【Service: 5.0】 ・The shop owners were in and were great with giving us recommendations. 〇【Atmosphere: 3.5】 ・Interior is decorated with chocolate goods and some educational items regarding cocoa in general. Soft white lights keep the store lit. Store is in North Vancover in a neighborhood close to the Burrard Dry Dock Pier area. In a cozy little strip with other small businesses in the area as well. It might be a little hard to find if you haven't been in the area but there's clear signs on the road that will point you to the shop. 〇【CP: 4.0】 ・Considering how delicious the chocolates are here, they're priced pretty fairly compared to other places I've been to. 〇【Misc memo】 ・NFC payments (Amex OK!) ・Street parking

I'm thoroughly impressed by Mr. Haas' background in the chocolatier profession, and it truly shows in his creations. I loved everything I tried when I visited both of their locations, one in Kitsilano and the other in West Vancouver. I also enjoyed their matcha latte, which I prefer to drink unsweetened. I'm already looking forward to visiting again when I return to Vancouver. This was one of my favorite experiences while visiting this lovely city. Even more amazing, if you're on a ketogenic lifestyle like me, their sugar-free chocolates are some of the best you'll ever have. No yucky aspartame. They taste amazing.

Space/location The space is on the smaller side, so it's not ideal for large groups, but it's cozy and inviting, with a few counter seats inside and some patio seating outside. Food and Drinks: The food and service are consistently good, and compared to many other cafés and patisseries, it offers excellent value for money. The hot chocolate and coffee are standout. The lady behind the machine clearly knows what they're doing, because every cup is spot on. The sandwiches can be a bit hit or miss, but our recent visits have been great. The smoked salmon croissant is served cold (they always check if that's okay), and even so, it's one of my favorites. The portobello sandwich, served warm, is also rich and full of flavor. And the cakes and pastries? Dangerous in the best way possible. The kind that keeps you coming back to North Van "just one more time." :)
