Yummy ice cream and super cute place to hang out with friends to enjoy their ice cream. There is also a variety of candies and sweets to choose from.

Airy, reminded me of Sugarfina and Dank shop mashup. Easy to get to meaning it's a great location. Price wise, well, I think all standup candy stores are in the pricier side, that is just what the market dictates. And it's an experience right?! And also supporting a small business. Plus, they do carry hard to find candies you can't find at your regular Save On candy aisle or Walmart. If you buy from Amazon, it's actually quite expensive. I like it here, we were around that area, might as well try it out. The young girls manning the store are fantastic and friendly. They also have a 50% offerings mostly from secular celebratory days (Easter, Mother's Day, etc). We surely will go back when I'm around that area again.

Salted Caramel Fudge (?) & Birthday Cake on White Chocolate-Dipped Cone

The concept of this place is very neat (if you have a sweet tooth). They have lots of candies in bulk, baked treats, and 16 ice cream flavours plus vanilla and chocolate soft serve. I just came to try the ice cream, but was a little underwhelmed. I had the Birthday Cake and Salted Caramel Fudge (I think this is what it was called - it was a vanilla base with swirls of caramel and fudgy chocolate pieces) on a white-chocolate dipped cone. The ice cream wasn't bad, but I found it paled in comparison to the quality that you'll find at pretty much every other ice cream shop in the city. Both scoops were just very sweet with a heaviness not matched by richness in flavour. I really liked the gooey pieces of fudge in the caramel scoop, but it was still somehow missing the textural contrast that I was expecting from the caramel. I also would have liked some textural variety in the birthday cake scoop in addition to the sprinkles, like swirls of frosting and/or cake pieces. I did appreciate that they didn't just colour vanilla ice cream blue and add sprinkles - it did have that characteristic but hard-to-describe birthday cake flavour - it just wasn't quite the full experience that I wanted. I honestly prefer the packaged birthday cake ice cream you can get at the grocery store to their take on it. The white chocolate-dip cone was good. It was kind of flaky, which was interesting, but in a good way! I liked that the chocolate coating was on the thin side, just enough to add a touch of texture and creaminess. The staff was really nice. There were two people that helped me and the one that actually scooped my ice cream was in training, and they apologized because she compacted the scoops in more than they usually try to, but it was fine with me. The cookies and cakes in the display looked good and I was tempted to try them, but after trying their ice cream I have a suspicion that they'll just be very very sweet... The shakes on the menu did sound interesting though, so that's probably what I'll try if I go back.

Stopped by here today with my boyfriend to get ice cream after our dinner and wow I am so impressed by this shop! They had a huge variety of sweets (candies, chocolate, snacks) and also lots of treats behind the glass such as brownies, cakes, rice crispy, and lots of ice cream desserts like ice cream sandwiches, shakes and sundaes. I decided to get their cookie dough ice cream with a drizzle of caramel sauce on a cone and my boyfriend got the salted caramel fudge ice cream. It was so rich and creamy and one of the best ice creams I've ever had, I think this place is so slept on! I will come back again soon. They also have outdoor seating!

糖尿病 = diabetes I'd like to visit Yum Sweet Shop more often. But, you see, my family has a history of diabetes. My doctor has suggested that I avoid sweets at all costs. So, you can imagine my disappointment when I walk into a store like Yum Sweet Shop. My daughter drags me in every time I'm on Main Street. We usually get the deal where you pay a flat rate for "All you can put in the box". There is a trick to getting the most of out this deal. Put large candies in first. Add medium sized candies, then shake vigorously. Then add small candies, shake vigorously again. Then add the smallest candies you can find (the mini jawbreakers), and shake vigorously again. Fold the lid of the box over, compress as hard as you can, and see if you can add any more candies. Close lid, and pay for your box. The choice of candies available is outstanding. Service is friendly, and the store is beautifully arranged. But, damn it. Diabetes.

Yum is the candy shop and sweet shop of my childhood (and let's be real, also adulthood) dreams! I've come into Yum a few times in the last few months, but most recently ordered delivery via Skip. My excitement levels soared the minute I saw that Yum was on Skip. Now, let me just say, I've got much more of a savoury palate, but Yum makes me want to cross over to the sweet palate side. I love all of their desserts I've tried! In the past I've tried their chocolate covered twinkie, carrot cake, unicorn bar (pink belgian chocolate goodness with lucky charms marshmallows), reese's peanut butter bar (top three fave!), milk and cookies cake slice, oreo blondie (another top three), the classic ice cream sandwich, NY berry cheesecake ice cream, watermelon sorbet, and lastly, the chocolate fudge brownie ice cream. I'd say I've tried a good portion of their menu, and if you've got a sweet tooth, you'll love everything as much as I did. Most recently, I ordered their tall dark and handsome chocolate ice cream sandwich and the doughnut ice cream sandwich, and both were DELISH. I got the whole "kid in the candy shop" feeling right on my couch. I was a bit worried it was going to melt by the time it got to my place, but it was well preserved and tasted just as fresh as getting it from the shop. I can't wait for all of this to be over, so that when they re-open I can sit in their beautiful, aesthetically pleasing shop and enjoy a big, delicious soft serve cone. Thanks for always putting a sweet smile on my face, Yum!

A great sweets and ice cream shop on Main Street. They had just opened on Wednesday May 2nd and was a soft opening so that the owner: Michael can get an idea about how it will do. He mentioned that he got up extra early so he can make some of the items. There's so many candy that you will be able to find something for everyone. If not candy, then go for their ice cream. There is about 12 or so variety of ice cream and 3 soft serve ice cream. Soft serve is vanilla, chocolate or twist. You can also put some toppings on the ice cream for an extra cost. There is also some ice cream sandwiches that you can get. My friends and I just had dinner so we just wanted some ice cream. I got the salted caramel ice cream. It wasn't too sweet and had a good hint of caramel. I'm glad there is another one close to home. The grand opening will be later. Sorry I can't remember when it is. Michael is very personable and super friendly. He talked to my friends & I and answered our questions, even while he was running on fumes for being awake all day (15+ hours).

What a wonderful addition to Vancouver's booming ice cream scene! Their big logo immediate drew me in and I was even more pleasantly surprised by what I was greeted by inside. It truly feels like an old school candy shop in all the best ways. I didn't have much time to look around, but there was just so much to pick and choose from all encompassed by their vibrant blue and white interior. Their employees are absolutely delightful. Super friendly and very patient when it came to me sampling 3 different ice creams and sorbets. The fuzzy peace was super refreshing, but I'm a slave to chocolate-y flavors so ended up getting the cookies n' cream. What's amazing is that waffle cones are complementary! No extra loonies for those thangs. I saw a bunch of frozen goods behind their glass cases. Definitely trying those next time. There are a few comfy seats to enjoy and eat inside.

Not a candy fan so a bit of a bias review. Overall store looks tidy and there's quite a big variety like the ones that they have in Sweet Factory but can't really tell what they have/ don't have since I'm not a candy fan. The staff explained that their candy is not by weight but priced at the size of the container you choose. If you're filling your own candy, there's mini carton boxes that you can use to fill up your stash and that is what it'll be priced at. They've also got candy in pre-packaged cubes but with the colours of the shop, the cubes look very much like the ones that they have at Sugarfina; Sugarfina cubes are a robin's nest blue while this leans more towards a turquoise tone. There's also ice cream here as well with one of the vendors being Rocky Point ice cream. The shop is very big and the decor gives the place a lot of personality. One of my favourites were the quotes that they have on the glass with one side saying "You are perfect" and the other "You are beautiful". If you're a candy sweet tooth or even an ice cream fan, I can definitely see this being a good place to go.

I really enjoyed stopping by this place after lunch. There was an extensive bulk candy section. We bought a $20 box of candy (about 700 grams) home and some ice cream. It can get pricey fairly quickly. However, the quality of the candy and ice cream is very good.

Every time I go to Yum I'm delighted. They've got a wide variety of candies that remind me of my 90s childhood, but more than that, they've got a great selection of ice cream, sodas, and other offerings you'd expect from an old-fashioned ice cream parlour. And everything tastes great - rich and flavourful, and sweet but not cloyingly so. Want a massive sundae? Yum has you covered. Want a cone with two small scoops instead of two huge ones? You can do that too! Want fresh-made ice cream sandwiches, fudge, or other sweet baked treats? Go to Yum. Plus they're open late, perfect for when you've just had dinner or an event somewhere on Main and want to finish of the evening with something cool and sweet. They recently started developing a new, exclusive selection of ice creams with a new partner, and I can confirm that the new ice creams are even better than before, too. So go ahead and give it a try!

Wow, I'm excited that my 200th review goes to the Yum Sweet Shop! The Sweet Shop is a few steps away from bus stops, many other restaurants & stores. There are definitely a lot of things happening down on Main but Yum is easily your one stop sweet shop! The shop is clean and enticing. The sweets reminds me of myself as a child wanting these treats. Lollipops, chocolates, gummies, ice cream, hard candy, soft candy, you name it. I got a cup of cookies n cream ice cream. It tastes like your typical cup of ice cream but with more cookies. I like that. I also got to try the chewy ginger marshmallow sandwich. It's like a massive ginger cookie with a squished marshmallow. It's one of the better treats I've had in so long. I'll come back to try the high top cupcake and waffles. They're covered in thick chocolate coating. How generous! Customer service is amaaazing! They are super jolly, jumpy and friendly. Clean bathroom. Kid-friendly. Sweet space. Will come back again!

The milkshakes here are absolutely delicious! They have so much candy too. Definitely worth checking it out!
