Truffle Pig Chocolate is definitely a hidden gem. It is located inside Hagensborg Chocolates in…read moreBurnaby. They sell the chocolates in store or online. They source the cacao directly from Nicaragua farmers and pay them a premium above world market prices. Each single origin cacao is grown wildly on the farms without the use of fertilizers or pesticides. All their chocolates are 47% cacao or 70% cacao. Their chocolates are selling 20% lower than the retail prices. Thanks for having me @yelpvancouver I brought the cute edible piggies home . The Holiday House is a great Christmas gift for kids and adults for the holiday. I love the green front door can be open and closed and you can see the piggy chocolates through the window. So cute! It contains about 30 pieces of four different flavors (milk chocolate, dark chocolate, milk peanut butter, milk hazelnut). I love the truffle chocolates are soft enough and are melted in my mouth. If you don't like very sweet chocolate, truffle chocolate with 47% or 70% cacao would be the best choices. All chocolates are delicious. Taste: 5/5 I also bought their best selling assorted marshmallow. Wow.. Love the softness and sweetness of these marshmallows. I had the coconut, gingerbread, raspberry and vanilla. I personally like the following flavours: coconut , raspberry , vanilla , gingerbread. They also have the chocolate-coated marshmallows. It was smooth, creamy and not too sweet. I couldn't resist so I ended up buying a lot more chocolates for myself, and for gifts for the holiday season. This is the BEST chocolate place in Vancouver! SIDE NOTE: they sell their chocolate in Whole Foods, but sell it for significantly less at their location in Burnaby.

The ambiance instead was quaint with limiting seating We got the last rhubarb tart to try and ofc a pain au chocolat! The rhubarb tart was more fibrous than I anticipated but I enjoyed the lemony mousse under it though my taste buds were a bit confused by what might've been a date jam base (a structurally complex treat!) Though the pain au chocolat was executed well so I'd recommend that if you're in the area

THEY DELETE GOOGLE REVIEWS. Good pastries and discriminatory service. There were two men working,…read moreone bald and one with hair (he was nice). This is regarding the racist behaviour of the bald one. Before I get gaslit, this happened to myself and my friend and we are both people of colour. I lined up first, a white woman came in while I was already in line, instead of taking my order he looked straight at her and helped her. The lady turned to me to check if it was ok and I said yes because I gave the bald one the benefit of doubt. He then takes her order then leaves. Whatever, I get helped by the other guy a minute later. After 10 mins, my friend goes up to order, she is in line when another white woman walks in. Instead of taking my friend's order, he skips her and helps the white woman who sounded surprised (clearly my friend was ahead of her). Don't know what to make it this as it happened to us both and we are both visible minorities. It can't be a coincidence. I've worked as cashier for years and you can always see/get a feel of the line (mind you the line had max 4 ppl at peak) so it shouldn't have been a coincidence to skip us so blatantly both at different times. The pastries tasted sour by the end when we both recollected how we were treated. Racism is well and alive I guess, no matter how subtle. If you have melanated skin, beware.
