Most of your reply is incorrect. Yes the crew was a little early & the forman didn't like the fact that we pointed that out, which is where HE started being rude. We did however have plenty of stuff ready for them to start moving where he rudely said "I'm not dealing with this sh!!" and walked out..went and sat in his truck (called supervisor we assume). Supervisor came out & your crew left. Guy was inappropriately rude & probably new he wouldn't face any recourse due to being comfortable in his position since "has has been with you for a long time". No worries that same guy will cause you more bad reviews in the future as with his attitude it is inevitable. read more

The crew could NOT HAVE been anymore kind, motivated, hard working and easy to work with!! I can't even believe Im saying this, but they made the move fun! Trey, Craig and Chris are a dynamic team that hustle from start to finish! They kept smiles on their faces and encouraged me not to get stressed out. The level of professional packing has to highlighted. I have white furniture and they plastic shrinked wrapped it ALL so it would not get dirty. My delicate fragile antiques pieces were handled with extreme care and attention. My expensive art was impeccable wrapped and secured. They did not bang up the walls or create a mess. They even swept the driveway clear of wet leaves prior to starting so my floors didn't get dirty! My tv's were cradled in padding and boxes and secured safely in my new home. I moved into a 5th floor home and they were pros navigating/packing the service elevator. This is a stand up, quality crew and I would highly, highly recommend them. I do not have any complaints, only praise for such an outstanding, customer service job! Old Worlde...do everything you can to keep this team intact and working for your company. We used Olde World Movers last month for a local move. They were awesome.....showed up on time and were quick and efficient. They thoroughly wrapped our furniture and put down runners to protect our carpet and floors. We had some missing glass shelves for our china cabinet after the move, and they were easy to work with, sent someone to measure and replaced them for us. Olde World Movers, did a great job with our move. Every thing was wrapped, and padded before packing them in the truck. They were very careful with our possessions and home. Ryan, Parker, and Gene were all great. They even asked if we needed help putting beds and such back together, before they left. All three were professional and courteous. We had a large move packing a 30 foot truck full. I never once heard them complain, like I have with other movers. Sorry for the treadmill guys!! We even made a stop to pack up storage as well. When unloading they were very careful with the wood floors even putting felt pads on the bottom of every piece of furniture. I would recommend this three man team to anyone. They also brought a little comic relief to a long day of moving, which was much welcomed. Though price is not everything Olde World Movers were excellently priced for the work they did. It's been a few years since I've used them but I did want to document for anyone looking for a moving company that this company's owner is not a stand up person. His company moved my family and the last item they removed from my home was the fridge. The water was leaking from the water line and although, I mentioned it several times to the head mover, I was told to not worry about it, that it was the water in the line. By time I returned home after unpacking, the downstairs of my home were soaking wet. The line ran the entire 6 hours I was away. After the call to Dalworth and my real estate agent, I contacted the owner of Olde Worlde. He came to my now empty home, refused to accept any responsibility for my ruined hardwood floors, carpeting, and drywall. He also refused to split my deductible with me and when my insurance company contacted him to start a claim, he never returned phone calls. This man will not accept responsibility for errors made by his company. Again, not a stand up person. I would not ever use them again. read more

Olde World Movers helped me with a very large move (3 large trucks). Some of the stuff moved was quite heavy. They did a GREAT job!!!! I found the crew of about 6 guys to be friendly, hard working and very interested in doing good, quick work. I would recommend them to anybody and will definitely use them again should the opportunity arise. I have moved several times over the past 10 years and have come across some horrific movers. This time, I decided to do a lot of research before settling on a company. I chose Olde World because of their previous reviews and thought, "If they are half as good as their reviews, I'll be happy." Starting off, the scheduler was very helpful. We are military and needed the trucks weighed before the move (empty) and during the move (full) so that we could be reimbursed for the move. The scheduler said they normally don't do that but she would schedule me and then contact the manager to see if they could make an exception and she would contact me the next day to verify. She did call the next day and said they would be happy to accommodate my request. So, the day of the move didn't start off on the best foot: the movers were about an hour late. But they called to tell me they were going to be late because of some key issues they were having. I decided not to hold it against them - accidents happen right? When the movers arrived (four movers, two trucks) they were very friendly. They moved quickly and were very careful when moving our items. They would point out any scratches or dents that were already on the furniture (we were moving out of a storage unit, which another mover had moved us into) to make sure that I knew about each one. When they were moving everything into our new home, they made sure to put down blankets to keep from marking up our brand new hardwood floors. They were careful not to bump walls and corners. I couldn't believe it. When they finished - including putting all of our furniture together - it was less than FIVE hours. AMAZING!!! The moved all of our household items (four bed/three bath) out of storage and into our two story home AND put our furniture together (with an hour of driving) in less than five hours from start to finsih. I was speechless. I waited about three weeks to write this review just incase I found something they broke or scraped that they didn't tell me about, but everything is put up and damage free. A different moving company put us in a bind, and I called Olde World Movers in a panic. I found them on yelp, and they were able to come out to save the day in less than 24 hours. They called almost an hour early to say they were on the way, and would be early. They arrived 20 minutes early. They were polite and speedy. Erich came over and was super friendly, professional, and gave us a really reasonable quote (we shopped) that was competitive. Moving day was amazing. We had Eddie, Dean, Chris, Nate, and Matt. These guys had incredible team work, attention to detail and did not scratch furniture or anything in the home! They were also very friendly, professional, speedy, and careful with our belongings. Don't use this company unless you don't mind them stealing your items. We moved in November 2015 and some items were stolen from us. They broke our tv speakers by ripping the cords out of them. My very nice wooden clarinet was stolen and they decided to keep our hand truck. Several other little items were missing as well. They flat out just left a bunch of stuff at the old house that we had to go back and get ourselves. We have gotten zero response from the owner regarding our missing items. read more

One mover even took the time to point out that our original plan for the bedroom was not going to work out like we expected and then helped to rearrange it. Don't even bother trying to get any information from her other than an appointment time for the owner to come out for a quote. The owner is very nice and knows his business. I would like to start by saying our movers worked their butts off, moving all of our stuff from a two story house on one of the hottest days so far. With that being said, they ripped brand new carpet in the house we were selling, chipped drywall and left black smudges on our new house due to the fabric they put up to protect the doorways. Prior to our move, we had someone come out and take inventory to give us an estimate. She was told certain gym equipment would need to be taken apart in order to move properly. We received our estimate and were getting reviews for others, but ultimately decided on this company. The day of the move, three guys showed up and we were told that there was a mix-up and the assessor did not accurately document that a "disassemble" person was needed for the job. My husband called the owner, who said he could possibly get someone there that day, but it would be additional money, which was ridiculous because we were told the original quote included that. Instead of trying to make it right, the owner forced the movers to make it work, which resulted in them causing damage to both properties. No attempts to make it right, no attempts to make the customer happy. We will never use this company again and will never recommend it to friends or family. read more
