Inaugural visit yesterday. Stopped in a little after open, so I had a chance to chat up beertenders Theresa & Anthony about the tap list! Too Young To Drink Anthony wasn't able to provide a favorite, but was helpful with his "I sell a lot of this beer" and highly recommended the Margherita pizza; I did not eat on this visit...but noted for a future visit! About noon the place started to fill up, assumed just a normal Saturday, I didn't ask, but the parade was happening outside, so the new folks provided good conversation, thanks Belle Plainees?..ha. I was there for shift change{?) so I met Kincaid, Jodi & Amanda, all were friendly as well! Theresa was helpful building my flight as she provided comments on her and customer favorites...and the most important piece.... people mix PB Honey Sammich & the Raspberry. Say no more, I'm all in. So once I had my flight...I moved those two to last. The raspberry wasn't good...it was....slap the bar whilst saying "YASS!!" delicious!! Of the six beers tried, I found my winner!!! Anthony was ever so kind, I had mentioned @ some point that I put brewery stickers on my truck & later I noticed a sticker in front of me!! When I asked if it was for me? He said "you said you put them on your truck right?" Awww, so thoughtful & attentive. What really started off the whole experience was the seating! The stools @ the bar are comfortable & not too high, like most. So it wasn't an ordeal to get up on the seat, THANK YOU Oldenburg!! I want to thank the friendly and knowledgeable Teresa and Anthony for providing such a delightful and insightful inaugural visit, I look forward to you slanging me more delicious beers in the future, cheers!!

I don't even know where to begin! This Brew Pub is so much more than just a Brewery. They are a family owned business of Oldenburg Brewing and Chatfield Spirits. They brew their beer at the facility in Belle Plain. When a new brewery comes along I usually am not blown away day one but, me and my friends were super impressed. I grabbed the Coffee Cream Ale, and boy did they nail this beer. It was a coffee forward beer with hints of vanilla and the creamy mouth feel was just was so perfect! I also enjoyed the Irish Red Ale they had on tap! You can order from their menu which is full of flat breads, tacos, and a huge soft pretzel. Not into beer and cocktails? They also make their own root beer and cream soda! Chatfield Spirits is all distilled in the Minnetonka area. They currently have their bourbon, vodka, and old fashioned cocktail bottled and for sale at their brew pub. Luckily, they will be releasing more spirits and pre-mixed cocktails in the upcoming months. I had to try the Smoked Old Fashioned and it was pretty good! When you order an old fashioned they used wood to fill the glass with smoke. You can choose your wood choice which was neat. I ended up choosing the red oak but, you can also choose from maple wood, cherry, alder, red oak, and red cedar. Honestly I was really impressed with all they have going on here! The owners are a father (Don) and son duo (Colt), and are extremely knowledgeable about what they are doing. It was great to speak with them both and learn not only about the beer and spirits but, the history of their family and why they started getting into brewing and distilling. I am looking forward to going back and trying more of everything.

Wow. Wow. Wow. What a find! Low prices, tasty cocktails and great staff in a cool building. First time there but will not be the last.

Just a fantastic hidden gem in Belle Plaine! Try the Tropical Explosion or the Mornin' Rise Coffee Cream Ale. They also offer their own sodas, for the kids or the kids at heart. I loved the Cream Soda. The Southwest Fire Braised Chicken Flatbread is ridiculously good. Crispy, with a fantastic barbecue sauce, red onions and plenty of tender chicken. The tacos are good as well. A simple menu, but done the way it should be. Make the trip, check it out!

Fantastic beers and food! The flatbread is great, and who doesn't love a boozy milkshake for dessert?

I tried the Space Balls (Milk Stout), Bowcaster (Smoked Märzen), and Lemmiwinks (Berliner Weisse with Black Raspberry - Sour Ale). I also sampled my brother's Giesen Weisse (Hefeweizen). I'm not a big fan of sour ales and didn't realize a Berliner Weisse was a sour until after ordering. That said, it was milder than most sours I've had, and I managed to finish the full pour. Space Balls - Fantastic milk stout. Strong coffee notes up front, followed by chocolate on the finish. Smooth and rich mouthfeel. A+ Bowcaster - Smoked beers can easily go overboard and end up tasting like a campfire, but this one was well balanced. The smokiness enhanced the flavor rather than overwhelming it. Would pair perfectly with a burger or steak. A+ Giesen Weisse - Excellent Hefeweizen with classic banana notes. Super refreshing. I often recommend Hefeweizens to friends who think they don't like beer--this one would definitely win them over. Great brewery overall. I'd recommend it and would definitely return.

It was a Saturday night, so the place was a little packed, but plenty of room for everyone to move around. From the outside (in the photos), the decor and signage was pretty cool! Their outdoor patio looked like it would be a fun place to enjoy a beer on in the summer (not so much in this cold winter night). Once inside, the atmosphere was fun. People were enjoying their company and the beer, and there was a small food stand inside with a few options for Mexican food this night. We all grabbed a beer and I tried some Mexican street corn. It definitely complemented the dark Czech lager I drank! My friends had a hazy IPA they ordered twice, it was tasty! An all-around pleasant experience and good beer. I'd go back, but probably make it a warm weather stop next time to enjoy all of it fully, including having the garage doors open for that "ope -air" feel when it's nice.

They have an enormous amount of outdoor seating and some indoor seating as well. This is a great place if it's a nice day and you want an ice cold beer. I loved the strawberry banana sour and one of their fruited beers as well. My husband really loved the lager options. Can't wait to stop back in again and catch a game on the TV outside!

The vibe is extremely "yacht rock" as you would expect from Minnetonka and the clientele tend to match. That's not good or bad, really, just how something to be aware of. Dog friendly inside and out but the taproom proper is pretty tight. Luckily they've got an enormous patio when the weather is nice. They're known for their IPAs and lagers but everything they put out is top notch. "District 5" is a fantastic lighter option but if you see a barleywine on tap you would be doing yourself a disservice by skipping at least a taster. The only thing is I wish there were more restaurants around because food truck prices are getting pretty out of control.
