The moment I walked in I mentioned I was surprised they were back open since I thought they moved but was met with silence and when I asked about there new subscription member program he just pointed at a piece of paper and said "that" with the details that I didn't understand but refused to ask any further questions because I could just sense the unenthusiastic tone. I could just be overreacting but gaming either table top, desktop or console is an extremely fun hobby and I personally have applied to here many times I just expected someone who actually wants to be there to be there.

There were several cases that filled the 5ft wall. But we were looking for a Xbox 360 game... She looked and didn't find it. Mom to the rescue! I found the game! We took the empty case to the counter. And here is where you get the actual game and purchase it here as well. Well the employee searched for maybe one minute only to tell us, they are out the game. Bummer! The employee did offer to check other locations. I accepted... the game we were in search for was at a nearby location... We proceeded to Chesapeake. This experience left me feeling like ... why have the case visible when all in all the game wasn't available. But the employee's customer service made up for the disappointment. The shop is located in the Victory Shopping Center among other shops and eateries. It's also minutes from I264. Plenty of parking. Have fun and enjoy life :)

Luckily for me I've never had an issue with the staff at this store. I've only ever been pressured to pre-order a game I didn't want to and that was 5 to 6 years ago (I didn't pre-order the game they wanted me to.) The current staff are friendly and laid back. They pay attention to questions and even give recommendations that are reasonable and from experience as gamers themselves. I would definitely recommend Oldskool if you aren't looking to break the bank, but this is the place to get newer games.

But the icing in the cake was the store manager I believe, he didn't announce his role, slipped out of his mouth that most niggers can't read as the cashier was preparing the cash back return for the item after saying he will allow it this one time. I guess he decided to break his own policy that is written on his receipt of no cash back returns - only store credit by how huge my eyes got when I heard the horrible word come out of his mouth. I will never return and I feel sorry for the African American male store cashier that works there for his calm and kind demeanor is what made me purchase in the first place. I will also be reporting this place to the BBB as well, maybe I don't know how to read how to make sure racists store receives reviews that hurt them just like they hurt their customers.

The store is in a small strip and when busy like just after Christmas it can be a problem. Luckily I did score one and close to the door. I saw no trash in lot, or walks. Upon entering it was packed with a line to the door. I confirmed they still had the game and waited. It took around 35 minutes to arrive at the counter. The transaction was processed and rewards money applied to the purchase. The clerk was friendly enough considering he probably had been on his feet all day and was tired. I will probably never go to this store again due to its proximity to my home. However if there was something that only the store had I would be willing to return.

The main problem with this location is parking; it's in a strip mall and the lot is cramped. However, it is a bit better now that the Sweet Frog section is connected. If the parking lot here is too full, you can always park in the other section and walk over. The interior of this GS is pretty tiny, but seems to carry everything I need. Like every GS I've ever been too, there is too much "stuff" around, and you can hardly move. The service here has always been fine--nothing over-the-top friendly, but adequate. The girl who took care of me today was busy answering phone calls -it is the holiday season afterall!- but she did a great job juggling customers alone. I did find out that GS will sell you digital PC games--even if you don't see any on the shelves. I asked about Sim City because one of my sons wants it for Christmas. I was able to purchase a digital copy of Sim City while buying other items. It made it simple for me so I don't have to deal with ordering online. I received an activation code on the bottom of my receipt. I'm not a big fan of GS since I don't really play games, but since I have three boys, I have to visit at least once in a while. This location is small compared to others, but average overall. I'm just glad we have a GS in the downtown area of Suffolk!

I've made 2 car purchases from them and countless part purchases never had a problem. There's no returns, but you genuinely won't need to return something unless YOU've got some extenuating circumstances. I've hung out there fixing up my older car and driving my newer one. Apparently they're willing to change their place up too. I returned today after a year or closer to 2 year break from the hobby and they've changed their layout. They now have a drift track instead of a crawl track! Might not change often but hey that's neat that they're adding variety to their "playground". I definitely recommend this place with high praise. The hobby's not cheap, but you're getting a good deal at Coastal. Go check em out.
