The greasiest Chicken Quesadilla I've ever seen...

After moving to the area this summer we were excited to try the local Mexican restaurant closest to us. But, unfortunately, after 5 visits it seems we just can't get consistency and a decent product from Ole Ole. Our first visit consisted of us missing an entree and having to drive and wait over 40 minutes to get the item we originally paid for. We were "compensated" by the apparent owner telling us to "let them know next time" and they'd give us a replacement entree. Okay, not a great start in my opinion, but not the end of the world. Everyone makes mistakes and, hopefully, this was just a fluke. Our next three attempts were all tainted by incomplete/ incorrect entrees that were messed up but not awful. For example, one time we ordered 2 quesadillas with no peppers and 1 with peppers- all three had peppers. Again, not the end of the world, but certainly left people dissatisfied. Our last attempt, two days ago, was the straw that broke the camel's back as far as I'm concerned. I ordered the Nachos Grande and received chips, cheese, and meat with nothing else (no beans, corn salsa, pico, or lettuce). The other order of Steak Nachos had no corn salsa, lettuce, or pico. On the positive(?) side, the two quesadillas were made as requested (without peppers) but were so greasy they weren't eaten. We were also very surprised to find only one order of chips and salsa for seven entrees. Had seven of us gone to La Carreta (or any other Mexican restaurant) and sat at a table, they'd have brought three or four orders of chips and salsa and refilled them as needed. I really do wish I could say wonderful things about this place. But, unfortunately, we're done giving Ole Ole our money and will be driving a little farther to get a much more consistent product.

We had high expectations due to the high rating and delicious looking pictures online…read more Unfortunately, the food we received (which was VERY expensive, by the way, and prices for most items were not on the menu) was subpar. We ordered the al pastor tacos with rice and beans, chicken tacos, asada tacos, and asada torta. The good stuff: service was friendly, the wait wasn't too long, and the portions were good (the torta was GIANT). The atmosphere outside would probably be nice at night (they have outdoor seating, tables, lights). The torta was the best thing we ordered, it was good! Unfortunately, all the meat we got was dry and unseasoned. In the torta it was masked by all the other ingredients, but all of the tacos are more simple, so the unseasoned meat couldn't be covered up. The pork on the al pastor was so dry and flavorless I couldn't force myself to take more than a couple bites. The rice and beans also tasted unseasoned and flavorless which was very disappointing. All of this wouldn't have been so disappointing if it wasn't extremely expensive (we are visiting from DC and even street tacos there are cheaper!). We were expecting high quality for a meal that was almost $70 total (9 tacos with one side of rice and beans, one torta, and a soda).

Stopped in to this Mexican restaurant for dinner with my family plus the extended family (10…read moretotal). The parking lot was busy due to three restaurants in the same area but there was plenty of parking, despite some persons parking in completely ridiculous locations (like the fire lane). Upon entering, the hostess seated us at a large wooden table large enough for all of us. Our service was a team effort but all staff members were attentive and pleasant. Drinks remained full and due to the time it took to get our food (slow for a Mexican place) we ate way too many chips and salsa bc they kept bringing them. The business was busy but there was still room for persons walking in. They have both table and booth seating with Hispanic music playing overhead at a pleasant level. Our group ordered a wide array of food from quesadillas (shrimp and chicken), kids meals with soft tacos, nachos supreme, bowls, and tacos. I opted for the Patron taco special - 4 tacos with rice and beans (asada, Al pastor, carnitas and chicken). The portions were large and filling. A great meal for a group at a fair price.

The place had good reviews so with my tongue-in-cheek, I went in and ordered. Great food!! Very, very tasty; very professionally arranged menu. I opted for the Chef's Special paired with a margarita-Muy delicioso! Very, very good food. The local Virginians don't know how good they have it. Go in-you will come out very satisfied and figuring when you can return.

Fiesta Tapatia has all your traditional Mexican fare and a lot of their own unique creations. This was my second visit, and today I got the lunch cheesesteak. One thing I love about this place is that their entrees are always super flavorful and well prepared. The steak on my cheesesteak was just bursting with flavor, and the cheese sauce was creamy and savory. The grilled onions and peppers were perfect as well. The only thing keeping me from giving this restaurant a high score is the fact that the salsa isn't my cup of tea. On my first visit, I panicked because I didn't like the salsa, so I thought I wasn't going to like my meal either, but I was definitely wrong. I ordered the Carne el Charral and steak, shrimp and chorizo were all amazing! The entree was great. I do have to admit that the salsa was better on my second visit but still not my favorite in the Lynchburg area. I will definitely be coming back to the restaurant in the future. The staff is always kind and attentive, and the entrees are always tasty.
