Dr. Tabby gives me "the time of day" which other MD's are simply unable to do. Dr. T. is very…read morethoughtful and comprehensive in assessing my neurological complex with empathy and true care: he cares about me/his patients. Dr. T. takes his medical training and experience and helps me understand CT's, MRI's, blood labs, and blends these with my subjective reports so that I have a comprehensive understanding of what my other specialists simply do not do. My recent changes of condition are unusual and don't fit the usual diagnosis and treatment plans that other neurologists, neurosurgsons, and my PCP try. THe result so far is, I continue to see these specialists but Dr. T. helps explain better and he also engages and consults with my specialists. Without Dr. T's contributions, I would feel more uncertain with less optimism of helpful pathways which might lie ahead.

Dr. Tabby has been one of the, if not THE best doctor I've ever seen! I suffer from extreme anxiety so it's hard for me to put trust into doctors sometimes, but I trust and appreciate Dr. Tabby so much I wish I could make him my primary doctor. His attention to detail is great and every time you talk with him the conversation is always a two-lane highway. He gives you options and brings you into the decision making process if there's one to be had. I recommend Dr. Tabby to everyone! Once we started seeing that my mom had symptoms of dementia, I immediately had her see Dr. Tabby because I know he'd do all he could to help her. He's a good man with great bedside manner and if you're in need of a neurologist, he's the one to go to!

She always told me that if I needed anything to give her a call and she would squeeze me in (I was suffering an extreme case of sciatica and she knew I was in a lot of pain) I'm so sad to hear that she isn't there anymore. I don't even live in the area but was always willing to make the trip down if needed. I agree with the other reviews; the receptionists here are the worst. They never answer the phones and when they do they're extremely rude. One once cut me off in mid sentence after I was explaining what Rebecca told me to tell them in case they couldn't squeeze me in without apology. Other times they speak to you like you're an idiot or they can't be bothered. What a shame. I've heard great things about Dr Watkins too, but I don't think I'll be back.

Dr. Watkins has years of experience dealing with the unique issues that gay men face, whether it's STD/STI treatment, HIV/AIDS research and treatment, emotional health, traditional PCP stuff, and more. It's incredibly comfortable having an openly gay doctor to discuss issues with, and he's friendly, funny, and polite. One of the downsides to this particular practice, however, is that one of the great things about it is also a checkmark: the fact that the practice is so small, as a patient you'll get extraordinary attention. One the other hand, it is, at times, difficult to be seen within a day or two, though I have not had trouble with pressing emergencies (like a high fever; I was always seen same day!)

After conversation examination and testing--which included an MRI of my brain, EEG testing, and…read morephysical examination, Dr. Sivaraaman, said that he would not have had my license suspended. But then, he informed me that in spite of my having demonstrated normal dexterity and physical movement control, he would not fill out the form to restore my driving privileges unless I visited a third party and passed a "driving test," one that would take more money than I can afford to spend--a fact that he was aware of at the time he made that demand. He was also aware that to restore my driving license, the state would, themselves, give me a driving test. His justification for that requirement is his belief that at some time in the past I may have had a mini stroke that reduced the strength on the right side of my body. He agreed that had I visited him for that weakness he would NOT have recommended my license be suspended. So, that issue was 100% unconnected to my loss of driving privileges. Yet still, he would not agree to informing the state, via a standard form that doctors normally submit, that the supposed seizure was not a danger to my driving, today. So, for reasons that make no sense, but are the direct result of that nonsensical decision, I, an 88 year old man who should be enjoying his declining years, cannot legally visit the grandchildren I adore, shop, or visit the park using the car that's parked behind my apartment building. So with Abington Neurological Associates, CYA, or Cover Your Ass medicine wins out over logic, good sense, and an oath that says to, do no harm.
