Alright so I'll admit I'm a red wine snob. We drop a minimum of $40 per bottle and it only goes up from there. It has been my experience that few bottles that go under $40 are worth my time. I was wrong. Amy, owner of TOTT, shared with me 4 wines that ran $15-$20 that I actually truly enjoyed. Her selections are impressive, small batch bottles, 5,000 in existence or less from around the world. She also has a strong meat and cheese selection and an adorable dog to boot. What a charming wine and cheese shop! I never knew this even existed. I mean, I have driven past it without even a second thought. I didn't know what it was, until some friends of mine booked a wine tasting for us. What? I love wine tastings, and thought I had to drive to Dahlonegha for that. No idea there was a place so close by to do wine like this. We walked in and were walked back to a quaint room with a long table and chairs around it. A reservation had been made for the wine tasting, so the four of us were seated with some other people that had made the reservation as well. Amy, the owner, came in and introduced herself. She was so knowledgable about wines, and really was informative. I have to say I've been to several wine tastings before, but I learned a lot here from Amy. She told us about herself, and what her store is all about. She stated she has about 300 wines in her shop, and she has tasted every single one. She stated that she got a lot of her wines from small producers, and that most of her wines were under $20. She said she liked to have a unique variety of wines that would be good to grab for a dinner at home, or for a gift. She also had several imported and domestic cheeses. We had the opportunity to try a few different cheeses, and by far my favorite was the brie/gouda mix Belletoile. It was so good and creamy. The crackers that were served with the cheeses were so good as well. We had a peppercorn and a plain cracker. Both were really good, and I loved the small sizes of the crackers to go with the cheese. They were made from a small company in Chamblee called Georgia Sourdough. You can buy their crackers at this store, so you don't have to drive to Chamblee. So the wine tastings are Monday-Saturday. Drop-in tastings are Monday through Wednesday for $10, which includes four wines and one cheese with cracker. Thursday through Saturday, Amy does a six wine tasting paired with 3 different cheeses and crackers for $18 per person. The latter requires a reservation. Each tasting has a theme, so for instance, the one we did was USA Wines. And I tried my first Riesling I actually didn't mind. It wasn't sweet. She mentioned that before I tried it, and she was right. You also get to keep the BPA plastic stemless glass you use to do the tastings. She chose these BPA glasses, because there is no odor like with most plastics and doesn't have that plastic taste, either. The glasses are very sensitive to heat, though, so don't put them in your dishwasher or they will melt. She serves the wines from lightest to heaviest, and she told us if you rinse the glass each time with water between tastings you will change the way the next wine should taste. She said going from lightest to heaviest will nix the need to actually rinse the glass. If you like any of the wines or cheeses you try the day of the tasting, you can get any of them for 10% off. And she won't tell you the prices of the wines until after the tasting, which was a good idea. She didn't want us having preconceived ideas on the taste based on knowledge of the price. Unfortunately, I picked the most expensive wine as my favorite. I wouldn't pay $27 for a wine for any regular evening, but it's a good choice for the weekend or entertaining. I'd love to come back here, sooner than later. I am so excited my friends discovered this place, and will definitely be back. If you live in the area, check it out. read more

I brought my mom and my aunt here for wine tasting on 2 separate occasions. Both times were great and we enjoyed the introduction to wine from our designated wine connoisseur. Cut little while boutique in Cummings. I actually went in to have some candles cut per a recommendation from a friend. While there I found out all the cool little treats they offered. You can bring your own vessel or buy a bottle and finish it while in to have it cut and poured into an amazing candle. This is my second candle and it smells amazing most of the scents are nice and strong so you really can't go wrong. While you're there try the wine flights out front. read more

We stopped in last night (first night it was opened) and was excited to see what type of bottles of wines, flights and tasting glasses were offered. I was pleasantly surprised that the flight was priced reasonably, $12 is a very fair price. The two people I was with decided to get a glass of wine. The glasses, IMO, were a little expensive especially when a sample is not allowed/offered but the reason for the "not good" rating had to do with what was said when the question was asked, "may I sample..........". The employee said, "No we do not do that, this is not Baskin Robbins" Can you say RUDE! There are several wine bars in a 10 mile radius, we will definitely not be back to this one. read more

This had been one of my favorite wine stores for a couple of years. I live in Marietta, but would stop by when in the area, to grab a few bottles. They had some fun wine tastings before Covid and I learned a lot. I think the owner's Dad helped out once, and he was fun to talk to. I stopped by two weeks ago, and had a bad experience. The young lady behind the counter was not wearing a mask. I politely asked her to put one on and she said "no". I was dumbfounded. I'm 65 years old and try to be very careful, both for myself and others. Yes, it's a personal choice that I would respect if I was in YOUR home. But this is a store where I am the customer. Why would you make me feel uncomfortable? It just didn't make sense to me, especially when you consider that every other store seems to be doing a good job with Covid safety. I guess I have to go elsewhere, and that's a shame. read more

We bought a living social deal for a one hour wine and cheese tasting for 4. It was a good deal for the price. This little wine shop is located in the large shopping plaza, The Collection. It's on the far backside near mellow mushroom. The shop is small but has a ton of wines ranging from $10- the most expensive I saw was about $91, but they probably have higher prices. The tasting was held in a room in the back. There was a large table that sat about 12 people plus some additional bar type seating against the wall. My only major complaint and why I didn't give more stars is the stools that line the table to sit on for an hour straight. SO UNCOMFORTABLE! Backless seats are uncomfortable enough but these are steel and our trip to the shop was in the winter time so we had on long sweaters which caused us to constantly slowly slip off the metal stool. I was glad it was only an hour event. Our hostess pouring and educating us did well, but she was no guru. She was fun and pleasant though. Sad news is that the county limits the amount they are allowed to pour so this isn't like some tasting I've been to in the past (or in the city) that are generous. All-in-all glad we went but not sure I'd do another tasting, but because the staff was so friendly and the selection of wine was nice I would consider buying again. (I bought one of the wines we tasted which were all very generously priced at less than $20) read more

As apart of many Mother's Day Gifts to my mom, I decided to book us a wine tasting with talk of the table. I landed a great Groupon deal on this event and must say that I was extremely impressed. The owner was very knowledgeable about different wines, and offered a variety of six different types during the tasting. We also got to sample 3 different cheeses and a variety of different crackers that paired well with the wine and cheese. Loved this deal and would definitely go back. They are located in a plaza so parking is free. The wines are also reasonably priced. Definitely worth checking out. This was so fun! I am not a huge fan of white wine, but this was informative and opened my eyes to some whites that I can actually drink. And the cheese... Omg the cheese was so great! Everything was affordable, too. We found a red blend we loved and bought some. Really the only thing that would've made this better was a mountain scenery in the background, but I think that's a little too much to ask for Cumming. Teehee. Fun place to start off a date night or girls' night for the tasting. The owner is very pleasant and knowledgeable. If you don't get the owner during the tastings, you'll still have a good time, but the knowledge level leaves something to be desired sometimes. I've done special orders and the owner was great, calling me once they arrived. The only reason why I went with 4 stars instead of 5 are the stools you sit in for an hour and purse issues. If you are bigger than a size 6/8, the chairs will dig into your hips in the most unpleasant way as the thin metal bar that is the back of the stool curves around (the back isn't flat). I can handle it for an hour, but I really wish the seating was somewhat comfy and they had a place to hang purses (the chairs can't really hang purses that well). read more

Great venue and time here this past weekend. We bought a groupon for 52 bucks which covered 4 of us. We had 6 wines and cheeses and were offered 10% off anything we purchased that day!! The instructor was very knowledgeable and friendly! This review is only regarding the wine tasting. The customer service is great but I've been twice and I'm never impressed by their wine selection. I don't know but I think they should have an option for us to pick the wines that we want to sample instead of having their own fixed list. What a fun place! The shop itself has plenty of wallet friendly wines. There's an entire wall dedicated to $20 or less. We did a sparkling wine tasting. We tasted 6 wines and three cheeses. After tasting all the wines, you get to have a second taste of your two favorites. We loved the cheeses too. After the tasting, you get 10% off buying anything from the tasting. They have a cooler of cheeses for sale, some locally made. TotT has drop in tastings early in the week but each Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, they have themed tastings. Had a great experience here last weekend for a first visit! Very informative tasting with 6 different wines. We also had an awesome little cheese and cracker plate to go with. Wines seem very reasonably priced and all of the cheeses and crackers could also be purchased right there. Great if you need something for an impromptu gathering! I had date night here a few weeks ago and absolutely enjoyed myself. We tasted 6 different wines, 3 cheeses and crackers. We were fortunate to have the owner host us that night (I think her name is Amy, I forgot). She was very knowledgeable about the wine making processes around the world and took the time to answer our questions. All of the wine we tasted was under $20 a bottle and we got 10% off of anything we purchased that was included in the tasting. I agree that the stools weren't the most comfortable but they were tolerable for an hour. The other couples around the table were talkative and we just had a wonderful time overall. read more

I had expected there to be more meat, I wish there had been some discussion about why some wines interact with the different foods (meat, cheese, crackers) the way they do.
