First visit here; we found them on Resy. Didn't realize they suffered a fire and just reopened. Glad we came to support a local reopening. Ambiance and food were outstanding. Disappointed one dish didn't come out as expected but it was still good. Love that there are several seating options from a more formal dining room to a cozy sunroom and an excellent bar area that includes high top tables for more casual socializing. This was a very fun family-owned restaurant in Roswell! It has nice different dining areas, that give off a cozy homey vibe. You would not expect the inside from the outside! It was gorgeous. I absolutely loved the dishes had. We specifically tried the Roswell Restaurant Week menu, but I would love to try the rest of the menu in the future! My partner and I decided to give this place a try. It was posted on Resy and had great reviews. Upon arrival I wasn't expecting to see so many herbs surrounding the property and wondered if they were for looks. It was such a sunny evening so we sat on the patio and enjoyed the sunshine. We came during there happy hour which is from 4-6. Not sure if it's during the weekend as well so might be worth asking before going. They had a delicious lemon drop martini on the HH menu that I enjoyed three of. The food was delicious and the owner Paolo came out during our appetizers to chat while cutting fresh herbs so that answered my question from the beginning. They do indeed use fresh herbs which made a lovely touch to these very tasty dishes. Overall I rate it S Tier with the very welcoming ambiance, cleanliness, bright service, and amazing food. Fabulous Italian restaurant. I have always come at lunch with co-workers and had a fantastic meal every time. I tried their Pappardelle Cinghiale first and loved it. Then I tried their Lasagna, again, loved it. Finally I had their Salmon, and loved that the most! I still have to come back for their pizza. When it takes 27 minutes to get your drinks (wrong drink but whatever I kept it) and another 45 to get your dinner- you know something is not being run right. Meanwhile, the owners are chatting with patron tables they know- making sure they're being taken care of. The table next to us sat 27 minutes with no service until I told our server that no one had been to them. The calamari was tasty so we had hope for the food, but that didn't happen. The pasta and clams were so spicy it was unenjoyable and the bolognese was ground so fine that it didn't resemble meat. Our server was running around making apologies to every table she was at and it was sad. We got a free dessert for our experience but the apple tart was not baked through. We really wanted to support this place since it just reopened but now I know why no one ever told us to go there before the fire. Very disappointing. read more

From start to finish, this place was phenomenal! We were warmly welcomed and taken care of by David and Robin, who were both incredibly attentive and friendly throughout the evening. The owner was also present, personally greeting and helping customers so polite and genuinely pleasant, which really elevated the experience. We started with fresh bread and olive oil, and every drink we ordered was a hit Peach Bellini, Aperol Spritz, champagne, espresso martinis, and Italian margaritas that were perfectly balanced with a flavorful twist. The mussels were fresh and full of flavor, and the lobster risotto stole the show a huge portion and absolutely packed with lobster, not a single bite was lacking. We have visited Bellini twice recently for birthday and holiday celebrations. Both of our experiences have been perfect! Service was friendly, very knowledgeable and attentive. Management greets and takes care of you. Food has been on point both dining experiences. Delicious pastas, pizzas, chicken piccata, lamb chops. Very nice wine list. The restaurant is beautiful, it has always been one of the prettiest spaces in Roswell, especially during the holidays. Great for private parties as well. My husband took me here for our anniversary. It was our first time dining at Bellini's. The decor was lovely and intimate with nicely dressed tables. For starters, we had focaccia and another homemade bread. It was crusty and chewy inside. We dipped it in olive oil. We shared the house special spinach salad. It had a fondue dressing, pears, walnuts, and strawberries topped with a generous amount of shaved pecorino Romano cheese. Hubs ordered the northern Italian version of lasagna, which is white(no tomatoes). It was huge! At first, I thought it was a slab of meat. The flavor was divine. I ordered the chicken piccata. The bright lemony garlic taste really shone. Hubs enjoyed his entree very much, but found himself stealing my pasta(!). For dessert, we splurged on tiramisu. It's enough for two. It was creamy and heavenly. Our waiter was very attentive. It struck me as a family owned place, as another gent (who could have been his grandfather) visited us more than once, making sure we were enjoying ourselves (we were! Immensely!). We were very excited to have some authentic Tuscan food, having read about the chefs. We ordered the mussels and the burrata app with the fried dough balls. The mussels were not bad. The burrata was dry and underwhelming. The fried dough balls were a nice touch, though. For entrees, we asked for the Linguine alle vongole (linguini with clams). The server informed us there was a problem with the clam supply and therefore, the entree was off the menu. This was the Saturday after they opened on Tuesday. We ended up getting the papardelle with cinguale, the seafood gnocchi. Nothing special.. the seafood did not taste the best. It was more like that seafood frozen mix one would get at an Asian supermarket at a bargain price. The seasoning was alright but again, not the dish that you'll crave for.. The pappardelle with cinguale (wild boar) was a bit on the bland side too. Then, we decided to get tiramisu for dessert. It looked right but it was so soggy. Not creamy at all. It looked like they made it a few day before when they opened the restaurant and figured they could serve it till it was all gone, hence the one tablespoon of liquid at the bottom of the serving bowl. Service: Our server was polite and sweet but they seemed short staffed, overwhelmed and not able to get the drinks on time and replenishing our water happened maybe once towards the end when we were ready for our check. Will we go back? Unfortunately, it was too pricey for mediocre Italian food.. So, highly unlikely. read more

This restaurant is beautiful! We were instantly captivated once we drove up and parked in front of a row of thrilling tomato, squash, peppers, and herb plants. Inside is decorated throughout to transport you out of Roswell, GA and right into Italy. Bread and focaccia were served with olive oil and the servers were on top of bringing the kids meals quickly. A big bowl of pasta kept them entertained while the adults dined on burrata and calamari. The fried calamari came with a small variety of fried veggies which was an unexpected addition. For pasta, we shared the Bellini Tagliatelle and Carbonara. The Tagliatelle was by far the winner and a clear reason why it's the house pasta! Finally, we also shared the branzino, Mediterranean style. The fish was very flaked, tender, and full of flavor. But watch out for lots of little bones! I'm happy it did not come out with the head and eyeballs staring me down. We were way too stuffed for dessert! Overall, a great night out and we enjoyed our Italian outing! read more

We happened on Bellini Osteria Toscana when searching for a restaurant not too far from home that has 'authentic' Pasta Carbonara on their menu. What we found was a restaurant delivering anything but. If I had to rate the restaurant on this item alone it would have garnered 2 stars. But Bellini Osteria did deliver on its Calamari, tender & crisp & accompanied by delicately fried in calamari style -veggies & two dipping sauces that added a nice touch. And a generous starter of real Prosciutto & Burrata over a little bit of spicy arugula & served with puffy & pleasantly chewy pizza fritta was very good. My entree of Bronzino with olives, capers, a cherry tomatoes was executed well - the fat fish filets off the bone but with the tail left on one for a little dramatic flair. But back to the Carbonara... Bellini Osteria's menu claims that the pasta for this dish is the spaghetti length square cut pasta known as Chitarra but I'm not sure it actually was. And Carbonara is traditionally made with diced guanciale -cured pork cheek & even after having receiving an affirmative after asking our pleasant server if it was made with this meat, it was clear that what I was served instead was two half slices of bacon wrapping the plated pasta spiral. The pasta was not served hot & the claim of it being made with real Italian Pecorino Romano was questionable as well. So major disappointment there. Other tables in service appeared to be receiving beautiful dishes of pasta & other entrees & as with our fish being so excellent the only fair rendition of the Carbonara won't cause us to ding the food. Wine list is superb with modest prices on many selections. Service did get dicey as the evening went on. Service started good but dropped off after the Saturday evening rush began. One table actually got up & left after having waited a long time with no service after only having their water glasses filled. Bellini Osteria is very conveniently located off of Georgia 400 & occupies the old VG Bistro property. The old glory days of VG Bistro barely emanates from the property now but it is still a pleasant dining space with good acoustics - no shouting across the table to speak to your dinner companion required -but the bathroom plumbing probably needs an overhaul. This is an unpretentious 3.5 star place for better than average mostly Northern Italian food - with reasonable prices a main draw. read more

After many years of Christmas Eve dining visiting from out of town , this experience was too much work for me to get things right. Reserved table was taken had to move people to accommodate. Gave us tiny chairs that were lower then the table, had to change. Drinks were good, waiter was friendly that was a plus. Took two hours to get our meal, two other tables seated later than us were served one hour earlier. My meal was cold, 93 year old moms meal was last to the table and too tough & inedible, my son who had been up since 4:00 AM to fly here was falling asleep ( 9:40 PM served on 7:30 PM reservation) and took his to go. For a $400 meal you would expect better service, Christmas Even tradition of 8 years is now over what a terrible experience. read more

I have to say, Bellini was overall a good experience. We sat at the bar, had wine, fried dough with prosciutto and burrata (great) and the warm seafood salad. The chocolate pear dessert was very good. That's all we ate!? Yes, we had a late and heavy lunch but we will go back to try the pizza and the pasta! Great restaurant! We went with another couple and everything we got was superb. Starting with the bread and oil, the focaccia had sun dried tomatoes and was soft. The prosciutto, burrata with the fritti was AMAZING. The fritti had a flaked salt and everything paired well together. I got the lobster risotto and it did not disappoint. Risotto I have found can often be over cooked but this was perfect. Lobster within the risotto and seared lobster on top. A friend got the carbonara. Having travelled to Italy a few times I've found myself very picky about carbonara in the states. This was probably the closest I've come to the real deal! Our waiter was very nice and attentive. My family and I went to Bellini's for New Year's Eve. The restaurant was very nice and that is where it ended. The waiter was extremely curt with us when we asked questions reference the drink menu or about the salad offering. He added "thank you" to everything he said. It was as if he said this, his tone, delivery and annoyance with us would go unnoticed. The food menu was limited for the holiday which we were unaware of until we sat down. This wasn't a deal breaker but would have liked to have known. Was looking forward to having a particular Italian dish. A few at the table had the Lasagna. It looked burnt when served. Two of us had a different pasta dish. It wasn't the worst but have definitely had better. And the expense for what we had was ridiculous. Looked at Yelp at the reviews, and it looked like it was worth trying. Got 2 appetizers and 6 entrees. 4 of which were chicken parmigiana, 1 lobster orzo, and 1 of their specials, "chicken piccata". There was a mix-up with another table, and we ended up waiting, not exaggerating, 15 minutes for the chicken piccata to come out. Turns out THE CHICKEN WAS RAW. Noticed after half of it was consumed. We tried this place because my son knew the owner. He even called him to tell the owner we were coming in to dine. The owner never stopped by. The food was pretty bad. My wife ordered a drink off their menu they ran out of (hello there is a liquor store on the corner). She also ordered a pork bolognese that had very little pork in it. If that wasn't bad enough, I ordered an overpriced piece of lasagna that tasted like one you could get much cheaper at Costco. The service was also horrible. We were sat before another table of 6 and had to wait forever for the food to come (it came late) and our server was always someone different. They never even asked if we would like another round of cocktails. Pathetic. Miss when this place was Bistro VG. Good luck, you will need it. Canton Street has way better Italian food. read more
